Yeah 5 bucks is too much. It really shouldn't cost more than 3 imo, i don't wanna spend like 30 bucks to have a customized army :/

It's not confirmed to be 5, could be less or most likely vary from skin to skin.

Wednesday would make sense too. I don't mind if it's later by a day.
It's different for each region, usually the patches are applied on the same day as they have their maintenance (which you can see in the battle.net launcher). So it's Tuesday for NA but Wednesday for EU.
Oh that is good to know, thanks! The problem is that obviously it has to be worthwhile for them to create new skins, but at the same time a unit skin isn't as valuable to have as a hero skin. An announcer is valuable no matter what matchup you play, etc so that's a different case.
I don't mind if skins are expensive if the game itself is free (ala LoL) but it is ridiculous to charge $5 for a skin in a paid game. Talk about nickle and diming your customers.
LoL's most expensive skins cost about 3k riot points, and about $25 USD for 3500 RP, so about $25 for a skin in League is rather expensive, but the game is free so the costs of skins is understandable.
5 dollars vs 25 dollars? Really interesting divide between value and percieved value, IMO. You're getting way more value out of the unit skin than you would for the hero skin no matter how you put it - you're going to see what, like 400-500x more of the SC unit on average? Or something even more ridiculous.
I don't think there's any way you can swing a $25 skin except ridiculous - it's gotta be the most amazing skin of all time for me to pay that much. But $5 dollars for a marine skin, if I'm Terran?! Hell yes, I make marines like what, every game?!

Well i don't know about lol skins, but he said it's the most expensive skins being 25 bucks. It's rather simple though, a unit skin isn't equivalent to a hero skin. That one unit won't be part of your army all the time, depending on which unit it might be rather uncommon that you even build it. If you choose marines as a terran that obviously changes. Sure it's perceived value, but i definitely think there is some logic to it
We all perceive value differently, but as Red Viper said, when you buy a LoL skin, you always see that skin.
When you buy a marine skin, you see it only when the strategy calls for that unit.
And yeah, Blizz seems to think micro == squeeze.
I truly hope the $5 cost is just a placeholder. Now if $5 was for an entire army unit skin pack (ala every unit has a skin theme) that would be cool, and maybe $1 if someone only wants a specific unit skin from the pack.

Technology wasn't there yet. That, and they didn't want to because they didn't realize how much $$$ you could milk from players. Then LoL came in and dominated the market with microtransactions and now Blizzard is slowly catching up. Almost there!
i would pay US$ 5 for eSport cosmetic, like TL decal and portrait, but i dont care about the skins or announcers, unless it is Terry Crews... "po-po-po-po-POWER OVERWHEMING"
Raynor imo is a little weak because his voice is quiet. Abathur is perfect. Alarak is pretty good but I wish his lines had more character in it. Kerrigan is good. Artanis is too protoss, he doesn't sound all too different than the normal protoss announcer. Swann is better than expected.
For the skin, I think the new roach skin is scary as hell, they really stand out from all the other skins. Similar to raptor lings but without the annoyance.
