Idk why but never considered uninstalling. Though perhaps something to consider. Given im pretty confident there isn't away to change passwords for separate games.
That said i would let someone else change it so i effectively "wouldn't know where the keys were hidden"
Thanks for the advice!

Just be patient at the beginning. Jump on ladder, you will maybe lose your first 10 games but it is ok, in 11th game you will outplay your opponent and win and there isn't a bigger satisfaction than that feeling in the gaming world.

Give yourself a few weeks before you work harder on improving, refining build orders and so on. It's a faster paced game so it takes some adjusting, and just learning all the new units is the first step.
Also, PiG won't do it cause he's a gentleman, but I'll tell you to go watch pig's show. I'm in a fairly similar situation to yours, and basically all I've done is play a ton of games, watch PiG's show, and get my hands on some pro replays to get a sense of various gameplans. I'm loving the game and am also very happy with the rate i'm improving.

I'd advice you to focus on learning aspect in ladder. Just don't think about "winning a game and getting points" rather just do your best and have fun. Then when you eventually climb up the ranks you get those moments when you think "Oh ok, so this level of play allows me to play and stay in gold, cool".
In late hots I played P. I learned well robo-builds with colossus and that got me to gold easily. I got to high platinum once I got good with incorporating ht to the mix with storm. And so it goes.

Follow up question.
Since I am basically going to be relearning all the hotkeys again more or less, what do you guys think of some of the alternate key setups such as grid and the like. Worth looking into?

I've recently jumped back onto Wings of Liberty to get my ladder fix. The game feels so much more fun and so much less frustrating in its pre-HotS and pre-LotV state because of a number of reasons, including actual build variation, a far less aggressive metagame and decent map design.

If I remember correctly the maps in WoL were horrid. They were too small and promoted only rush tactics. People were claiming for bigger and better designed maps.
Also I think most of people agrees that LotV is the best and most fun version of SC2 by far. Just saying...

Didn't you forget that HotS was a very big reason why Antiga Shipyard (a very balanced WoL map) were taken out of the map pool? It had a wide open main base that was significantly exposed to drop play, which grew far more prominent thanks to Medivac boost.
You also had about 66% less frustrating build order losses in WoL compared to HotS, where a mine drop or a proxy oracle can easily end the game for you.

All your claims are HotS era. With new mechanics and new units is natural that the old maps might not work anymore. Maps are always gonna be changing because it's the nature of starcraft since BW. If you prefer WoL over HotS, fine, but my point still stands. LotV is the best version of SC2. Consider that LotV is still in infancy and it will take a while to get to the sweet spot of balance. Hopefully sooner than later.
