I have the exact same opinion. I suppose Akilon is nice to have in the pool for players that think they're playing SimCity instead of StarCraft, though.  Just sit around and build up that nice 4 base metropolis like we saw all the time when the map was last in the pool.

I played since wings beta. Voted for steppes, and complained about it not getting in. Sadly we don't always get what we want.

CK and Daybreak are 2 of the all-time bests. I would have liked to see more interesting maps that didn't get to see much or any HotS play like Metropolis, but whatev.
Akilon was always underrated. That map is in my personal top 10.
I bet Ohana got so many votes because of the HSC meme :p. It's a fairly dull map otherwise.
Metalopolis and Shakuras! The best of the old school! ...not saying much, but still! I loved these two back when we weren't spoiled with even decent maps.
Xel'naga....ugh.
I doubt I'll veto anything, but if I do it's totally going to be Xel'naga.

How is KC too new? Ohana and Akilon were added later on than KC, Cloud Kingdom at the same time as KC. It was only left out because people had other maps they wanted more, like Steppes or sth.
