The turorials are outdated, there's a ton of miss translations and the teaching method is just bad. Blizzard's tutorial is only recommended if you want to learn how to make a melee map, the rest is awful.

This is true. The only part Blizzard was concerned with was protecting their IP and characters like "Sylvana windrunner". That's why you see so many name and model changes in dota 2. But blizzard doesn't really want that dota 2 money.

I'm pretty sure Blizzard gives more than a shit, and tried to stop Dota 2 from ever launching the way it is.

That's not true, they just sued to protect the IP. I am sure valve knew it was going to happen, since do many characters in dota looked similar WC3 characters when the game first launched in early beta. Blizzard just did what both sides needed, filed a law suit to clear up what would and would not be ok.

Not that I disagree with your slight to them. $7k in 4 months is very very low income in the US but not low income outside the US.
