Ok I read the whole blog and it was kind of long, so forgive me if I missed this, but did he actually say why he's moving back to europe? Was it just because he missed Europe and his European friends? He gave a long history of his career, but I didn't really see him mention why he was moving back, but like I said I may have missed it.

WCS EU is the easiest tournament of the 3, so its probably the best chance he has at qualifying.
The tournament might be, but the qualifiers are way harder than AM.
True EU may be harder in the qualifier/challenger stage, but AM is harder in premier.
