I played a game on Fighting Spirit, and lurker's burrow (R) hotkey is still not the same as unburrow (E). Please fix this issue. Thank you.

man it's so nice seeing balance changes being made so quickly and bugs being fixed. I understand it shouldn't change dramatically all the damn time, but the devs here are responsive enough to change things back and fix blatant errors.

cant u just hotkey change that yourself? also, that is actually a preference for some people to have it be different hotkeys.

played a handful of games for the first time tonight and it was definitely really fun. great job developers, hope to see tournaments and more stuff pop up for this!

These macro-mechanics really need to be reconsidered. Stuff like this really warped sc2 gameplay (especially tvz) and it feels terrible having to slam a box on every reactor barracks every 10 seconds to build properly.

What zerg can do with nurturing swarm is kind of ridiculous O_o you can tech nearly instantly, and you're largely safe because you have ghettoseers, instabuilding spines, and megaqueens with half-price transfuses.

I think the whole point is to have some elements of Starcraft 2 still in the game. If you take away stuff like that it it's going to revert closer to Broodwar. We saw how the Broodwar SC2 mod has been received and it hasn't been good. I'd say let's just see how the meta develops, watch what happens at Razer Starbow and go from there. The mod's only gone public for like a week, no need to blow our load too fast here.

I just played for 5 hours straight lol. The last time i played that much SC was in 2012, when i was really into the game, took all of 2013 off, and now, im back and it feels great!

I'd say the macro mechanics are more of a callback to BW where you had to actually look at your base and cycle through the production manually.

Its not as awkward as having no MBS but you can clearly see that its a compromise between the BW and SC2 models of macro.

played a few games, i feel like the spider mine and arbiter statis/recall need to be fixed but other than that, its lots of fun. it feels like an expansion pack of broodwar. id love to see ladder rankings and tournaments soon

First we have DOTA1 on the WC Engine, then there's DOTA2 standalone on Valves hand. Will Starbow be heading that direction. And if that happens, I guess you know where most of us are heading to.

Pretty sure Starbow doesn't have enough original content for that, it would clearly infringe on copyrights, if someone made an entirely unique RTS (i.e. different races and units) it might be possible.

The spider mine will probably see some change in the next patch. We are aware of them being a bit easier to defuse than in BW. Next patch perhaps.

Also, I would consider the Arbiter death + recall a bug so that should also get fixed in the near future.

^ Yeah exactly what he said. Comparing SB to DotA is apples and oranges really. Plus, after the DotA disaster I would assume blizzard has put some sort of catch in their terms of use that say they either own all material created for the arcade, or that they at least get first crack at licensing it.

Spider mines just need to be used differently than in bw. The developers have already stated that they went in a completely different direction with it because recreating the bw mine was virtually impossible. Using them as a buffer between the tank line as the toss army for example though is really nice. Just make sure to siege your tanks where they will be able to hit the dragoons if the goons get in range to fire on the mines.

Cute arcade game. But I really don't like some of the modifications. Changing out the Colossus for the Reaver is fine. It's also fine to get rid of the MSC thanks to Dragoons.

But I don't like how the map-makers cut out phoenixes. They are so much more interesting and useful than corsairs. I think they should also leave the sentry in the game, but make the force-fields destructible objects with hitpoints. Finally, there was no need to change out the Oracle for some castrated replacement unit (sentinel). It would be fine to nerf the damage or whatever, but there's no need to remove it from the game.

you cant change hotkeys for a lot of new units, buildings because you will not find them in options, and also lurker does not have options for burrowed state, therefore you can not give it different hotkey to unborrow as it is for swarm host, etc...

Spiders mines seem almost worthless, they take too long to activate and are always killed before doing anything
Starcraft 2 was designed to have a best race. You play the worst one.
