In Brood War, you had around 50 maps on ICCup and only specific maps were Map of the week/Map of the season that gave additional points, so having 13 maps isnt that big of a pool. Having 3-4 vetoes isnt that much either since in BW you could just opt out of playing any map you didnt want which in theory you could really veto 49 maps. Yeah sure, i like that there are many different maps, but i don't like the part where you kinda need to know "every" map to be able to ladder. I think instead of vetoing maps you should pick 5-7 maps you want to play. The only problem i see is that the community isn't really big enough to support such a map picking style (search time...) But as i said, maybe i am in the minority and people don't really care, then i have to deal with it :D (kinda like the smartcast stuff^^)

I like Kaos ^^. and he is absolutely right, I have given up on sc2 because Blizzard isnt even admitting their mistakes they have done in the last years of developping an RTS. I partly blame the community for not having the balls to criticize bad design and instead just accepting a mediocre RTS and making it out to be the best out there. The only reason why it was so successfull in the beginning is because it has the name "StarCraft". apart from that both games have nothing in common and are the complete opposite to one another.

For Starbow to grow quickly, it would be good if big tournaments like IEM/MLG/GSL/SPL could start adopting the game. Maybe if they could have Starbow show matches to begin with.

Well, Ender's game had the showmatch.
Maybe if IEM Katowice Grand final did the same....

but what do they have to gain from doing that? You get the viewers and then events pick you up, not the other way around :/

You are right. They only do it if it can attract more viewers. I do believe that a high level Starbow match with good BW players (like Innovation/Flash/Soulkey/Bisu) would be something fresh and new to viewers.

Maybe we need to make the AOE a bit wider, or make the animation faster, to allow Lurkers to hit more stuff. It certainly isn't the raw damage that is lacking.
Maybe do something like this: Lurker attack +50% width, +10% animation speed, +0.2 second attack cooldown.
I feel the same, the AI pathing works against line splash damage.

tehredbandit mentioned that the fact that they seem to spread out more while burrowed may be a part of the problem. If we allowed them to stack more while burrowed it would help vs bio (and not vs tanks ). Maybe not directly on top of each other but make their "footprint" smaller while burrowed.
