It might not be as big exposure on your stream, but it's still different than just two people playing each other.

I had a guy yesterday who said he tried 3 times to stream snipe me lol. Im not sure if he was joking or not, but he said it my stream chat. I lol'd, since twitch has so much delay in the 1st place (I still wish there was 0 delay), its not that big a deal to me.

You can do no delay if you want. In OBS you can set your delay under broadcast settings and under your twitch dashboard you have a stream delay slider which can be set to 0m.

Even if you set it to 0, there is still quite a large delay just by the nature of things

If he wanted to streamcheat you, he wouldn't have asked if you are streaming or not.

When you scan army movements without knowing they're moving or scanning a probe being dropped off from a warp prism and not seeing it being picked up is highly suspicious and that is what I said specifically, "that doing that in 3 straight games is suspicious of map hacking."
Helps if you heard or read anything that was said instead of state something that wasn't said.

It must be awful playing the game when everyone you run into is a stream cheater, map hacker, stream sniper or ladder abuser.

Just stop dude. We all get frustrated, but you aren't good enough that people with good timings and execution can't beat you badly enough that you think they're cheating.

You would be the one who would need to stop, I replied to his remark and at that point it was over. Now it continues because you're making your statement which in turn gains a reply.

But to share my experience: Against this style going heavy rax bio none-stop macro with a third at 6-8rax~. When u add factory, you can add spidermines/speed, i found this unit having good tempo vs banes/lings heavyplay. Adding more factories, not bad at all but you need constant macro from your rax.
I found this particular style good against it. You need to scan quite frequently, check his gases. Drones. Lair or hive play.
The problem is if he techswitches, lets say he skips the banes and goes lurkers instead. Or he starts to use burrow at lair. Sometimes muta play is annoying to since lets say u scan the spire in a good time, you have no idea if he will commit to mutas. If you know he will commit u can add 15turrets np and go more agressivestyle but u kinda do it with a dice. Guardians great to since u have no SV. Addind vikings->mutas,guardians. But they suck vs everything else. I miss that SV doesnt really work vs banes since this is the unit that deals with every techswitch from zerg
Iam not saying now that this works against it or is consistent. Just sharing my experience Yah this is pretty much the response I've been doing also. Lot's of macro, 3 base quite fast, mines and vultures. I've actually been doing 2 port vessels, but using the 3rd gas at the third to add in many marauders and firebats, so you have an unkillable army at about 13 min. I actually think it's very strong, and don't think theres a balance issue. I do worry about the mu once zergs figure out the timings to ling and bling to defend safely though, it can already be difficult to deal with the switches when you are defending in 3 different spots. Also, if they just build a baneling nest for 100/50, you need to completely alter your style of play. My main concern is that it's boring lol Two problems right here imo. 1. The marauder. I found this unit quite imba against zerg for the moment. He beats every combat unit from zerg, except the zergling.
2. You go 2port vessel which just imo suck vs banes. Or u have other experience? Iam guessing since u mix in tons of marauders/firebats it kinda neglects many "weak spots"

so fun whenever you search you get people 2000 pts above you even when you have on short search range, after just 5 seconds of searching wish it would limit the search range atleast a BIT, cause it's a waste of time for both parties anyway

It's been said a few times that it goes off of "true skill" instead of point value if I recall correctly. So if you're que'ing against people that are 2k pts above you that says something.
I que'ed back to back vs rsvp last night who was late 6k early 7k when I'm at 3300-3500, so it may be that manner.
The system may try and que you against similar point range first and if not then goes off of true skill or vice versa. Would have to see what Veritas or Xiphias says about it.

You mix in marauders later on, early on you need marines and firebats to deal with zergling/muta
Science vessels prevent mutas and guardians from being a threat to your late game marine marauder firebat army. Yah vessels suck vs ling bane, but if you're building an army that is designed to kill ling bane, then add vessels to it, it will counter a lot of zerg compositions.
I find that not making vessels makes mass muta difficult to play against if he's going ling bane. You're just too vulnerable to tech switches, which vessels pretty much shut down. Maybe don't need 2 port, but with 3 gas you can afford 2 port and a good marine/marauder/firebat army.
I don't personally have many problems vs ling bane, I just play it out in a very campy manner, with 3 bases and vessels. Once you get mines on the counter paths and your big army with vessels in the centre, zerg is pretty much done if they don't have defilers and plague. In my experience anyway.
I also don't find hydra lurker viper imba vs Terran at all, even if you're going bio. Maybe if you have no science vessels. Otherwise, that army just melts for zerg.
I never make tanks in the mu anymore. Dark swarm splash is bugged/intentionally super good and counters mass tank too strongly imo.
|
Alright. Seems u have good experience with it. Sounds very boring indeed.
And yeah, i know about the tank bug. I never make tanks in tvz except the 3tank/1SV push against lurker play.
I also don't find hydra lurker viper imba vs Terran at all, even if you're going bio. Maybe if you have no science vessels. Otherwise, that army just melts for zerg. Doesnt SK-style suck vs hydra/lurk? On top of that, he can adbuct your SV. If terran doesnt add in marauders, i rly think he need tanks.
Maybe iam wrong but the experience i had in bw was that hydra/lurk was rly strong unit combo. Lurker is abit worse overall i feel, but add in abduct on top of this.

Alright, maybe i cant say this cuz terran have the marauder which beats every unit except zergling Ok, this phrase "It has no countermicro potential" is being used way too much when it isn't even true. Abduct has countermicro potential; you can move forward a group of bio and attempt to zone out the viper, you can back off the units he wants to abduct altho not sieged siege tanks, you can pick up sieged siege tanks with dropships and boost out, you can get SV and emp/irradiate, you can get other stuff to zone the viper like turrets vikings whatever, as protoss you can get scouts and feedback them or just straight up kill them, you can snipe them with blink stalkers, maybe you're gosu and trick him into abducting hallucinations.
Everyone have started to hide their logic behind "no countermicro" arguments, it's getting silly. Sorry to pick you out :L

Where has that been said? The only thing I remember hearing about true skill is that it is currently being tracked but not used at all.
I'm not sure what the current limits are in terms of who you can be matched up against but the wide range is understandable given the relatively small number of people on the ladder and the rating system which reflects more on how much you've played rather than how good you are. Note this isn't a complaint, I'm just trying to de-emphasize the importance of ladder points. Just use the ladder to find games
