Something is wrong with the vulture, can't point to exactly what, but it's not as efficient at laying mines, maneuvering and harassing.

Am I the only one who has noticed this?

I'm pretty sure its speed and acceleration are significantly lower than bw.

Salty protoss player here. This mod just keeps getting better and better, lol. The one thing I don't miss from BW is vultures...

So basically what I'm gathering is that people just wanted a game that was mostly BW except with updated graphics. Yeah who gives a shit about trying to change things up with SC2. Blizzard totally should have just remade a game 1999 instead of coming up with new things.

Saw Husky's cast on one of the games. It would be nice, if the number of upgrades were reduced. However, really fun game with so much going on, and the harassment feels less game-breaking than in HotS.

I disagree with this assumption. I think everyone was looking forward to something fresh. The reason why this seems better than SC2 to most (including myself, at least on paper) is that units like the collosus feels like a forced replacement to the reaver. A forced and poor change.

HotS feels like BW with forced replacement of units for the sake of being different and the game suffered for it.

Starbow's definitely come a long way. I would agree with it not being about being better or worse-- some things are better, some things look as bad or worse than they were in SC2, and there are other things that look (to my eye) as if they'll regress to a more SC2-like state as the mod gets more figured out. Still interesting to watch.

I do disagree with the notion that there's a lot more action all over the map than there is in SC2. It looks like there might be slightly more, but I don't see the huge change that others are reporting.

Side note: notice in the Ryung vs. Impact game that vultures build 4 at a time from a single reactored factory. Is that intentional?

A few graphical questions

-Will scourge always be flying banelings?
-Will defilers stay as large as they are? (larger than in BW) this particular model also looks like a lobster compared to the SC2BW model
-Is it just me, or is plague and swarm harder to see? maybe the former could use a modified fungal graphic
-The reaver scarab has more of "laser" feel than a separate projectile--again, looking at the SC2BW model
-Did you want spider mines to shoot across the ground like widow mines?

I totally saw some death blobs of dragoon and carriers. Even some tank blobs. The death ball is still there, just in new formats.

You're quite mistaken.

What Starbow does right is that it keeps all of the things that were added in SC2 that work well and provide depth to the gameplay but also going back to some of the things Brood War did better like map control units, damage output and high ground advantages.

The net result is a game that isn't Brood War nor SC2 but something that has traits of both.
