Episode 3+ spoilers There was someone who spoiled episode 3 before the broadcast. They mentioned that 2 girls would go to the death match and it would go to an extended round so it seems like they might be legit.
That person said that they've filmed up to episode + Show Spoiler +

They also revealed some other spoilers further in the future (some information about who's left so click at your own peril). + Show Spoiler +
The one who wins the death match in episode 3 (Yooyoung) is unexpectedly smart and really good. Yooyoung goes to the death match again in episode 5. Boxer and Yellow are both still there in episode 6. In episode 8, it's been narrowed down to 3 strong players. 2 guys, 1 lady (probably Yooyoung). Yellow is still one of the favourites to win.
While It was wrong in that episode 5 spoiler, I think the rest is somewhat true. If Yellow's going out, I feel like the producers would try to keep it quiet. Similarly, it is impossible for Sangmin to go out with the token of immortality. I think it'd be Boxer as some have speculated.
Or it could be a total fake spoiler. Genius staff seems to like that.
It just said Yellow is still one of the favourite to win, @ episode 3? <-- this is pretty vague. Maybe Yellow did get eliminated
Anyway anyway if Yellow eliminate, there is still BoxeR to root for. If BoxeR get eliminate, there is still YelloW to root for.
If both get eliminate, then it is over for me.
So there is still 5 more episode? Hope BoxeR did something spectacular. U noe episode 6 when he said his fiery spirit got awakened when he found out Sangmin is dishonest, or try to give him cheaper deal instead (Hint for location of safe).
I really dream of something incredible. U noe, something that can consume them entirely .
Can someone please convince me to root for boxer? I wanted to, but he hasn't done anything remotely strategic. + Show Spoiler +
His play in the deathmatch was interesting, but his opponent clearly didn't play many strategy games...
Guys I just saw the episode. I think every1 reading this thread will get their asses spoiled in the bext 24 hours, so don't read this thread and follow bumdys twitter. But if you really want to know what happens. + Show Spoiler +
Yellow gets eliminated by jiwon in the deathmatch. In a poker game too...
Deathmatch was YellOw's fault because all the events lead to him losing the game, starting with 0 garnet.
But what the fuck happened in main game?
Wtf happened when HongChul found out the secret and then suddenly EVERYONE knows what's going on?
Yea from HongChul's POV it seemed like YellOw 'betrayed' him, but for a person who just betrays everyone 24/7 in The Genius, its quite funny. Rather than YellOw betraying HongChul, I get the feeling that HongChul betrayed YellOw. Maybe I'm just a huge fan of YellOw and that's why I'm getting this feeling, but EVERY SINGLE FUCKING EPISODE gave me this feeling that it was entertainers VS non-entertainers, and its continuing
What the fuck is so Genius about Season 2? YellOw and Sangmin knew the secret about the dice and it should've been both of them VSing each other for the 1st place spot, but the others just ruin everything and equalize the playing field, thus getting a battle of relationships, not battle of geniuses.
I seriously don't know what's so 'Genius' about most of these games (saying most because these games have the potentials to be amazingly fun, and some deathmatches were pure 1v1 fights). In order to survive, all you have to do is suck up to some entertainer. What was so genius when HongChul survived the Deathmatch? Nothing. What was so genius when Jiwon survived (ep. 6)? Nothing.
The reason why I'm pissed is because everything's going against what we expected from Season 1, and its not a good change. Instead of naming it The Genius: Rule Breaker, it should be The Genius: How to Survive in Society (through sucking up to others).
I guess that's why I'm not really pissed at the fact that YellOw is out. That's how much I've lost interest in the show. I was the one going around the house and my friends, suggesting that The Genius was an amazing show and everyone should watch Season 2, but now I regret saying that.
Yes, I didn't watch today's episode, I just read the synopsis. I think I just decided to give up actually watching the show after what happened last week. Some were saying that today was going to be the turning point, and yes it did. But even with those spoilers, the producers of the show couldn't convince me to watch the show.

Though he did have some advantage in the Deathmatch he played, it was the one where others didn't have a play in it. Sure, others may have suggested him what to do, but he won the deathmatch with his own abilities, not by relying on others to win the game for him. Jiwon won the 6th deathmatch by....... having relationships. See the difference here?
Also, he's the only one who's not in broadcaster's group now.

I will give reasons. Remember <--- it bring me to Teamliquid <--- Bring me to broodwar
Also I always find him good looking keke. Although his kneeling down and sucking up bring my heart down
SINCE YELLOW IS GONE, he is the only progamer left . He has reason to fight on. The betrayal of Sangmin, the death of Yellow. The only hope to kill the evil guys. Like Yooyoung, Like Sangmin, Like Jiwon.
Wow, so Jinho's out at last... And he lost in such an unlucky fashion. The true Genius out of those guys leaves, whereas the alliance/a bunch of lucky people stays. It's kind of absurd and really sad. qq He made the show what it was/is and I'm glad that he gained so much popularity over the last few months. GG Yellow, hopefully we'll get to see much more from him in future broadcasts etc. !
Dammit, why do I keep checking this thread, spoiled myself like an idiot -_-. It's kind of confusing because it's hard to tell whether subbed or raw episodes are being discussed in spoilers. would be nice if you could note in the post whether you're talking about the latest subbed episodes or a newer raw episode.
I am curious, those watching raw episode. Are you able to understand Korea, or dont understand Korea , but just watch their action, u get the meaning and understand?

Id guess everyone understands korean(I do atleast) since this show is difficult to follow otherwise
It's funny how Yellow lost because of a 2. He and Jiwon had no chance of losing in the first round of betting because 1 would result in a pair and the rest would be a higher number than 2. If only he wasn't the Kong. All the Indian Pokers he won were because of 2s as well lol.

I dont, but the trash episodes like 4 5 and 6 doesnt require the language. Just see the whole bunch of celebrities bunch up against the others.
Well this game is fair for sure. This dice trick btw is from Kaiji the predecessor of liar game. Its sad that the news just spread like that. Jinho maybe was too conspicuous being alone. Shoulda taken hongchul in then the 2 of them can give each other immunity if either wins and maybe the secret coulda been kept between the 2 of them.
The DM was fun as well though just unlucky turn of events. Favorite gone sadly.

Except for supernovamaniac (edit: and Clefairy, obviously), I don't think any of the people posting opinions from the raw can understand Korean. You can just move to the result and see who is in the death match and who loses it. All of the death matches can be figured out just from watching people play and the dramatic music (even yutnori). It's worth waiting for the subs to get the intricacies and the humor, but since everyone seems to love to hate the Genius now, you don't need intricacies to complain.
