jaedong has always played a lot faster even in bw where there was no inject, creep etc
JD wasnt that fast in bw tbh... he had 350 apm, but the speed freaks like Hero and Hyuk were who had 450 apm
JD def was very fast and I have seen him play fast than 350 apm in bw lots of times. Where did you get that from anyway?
Did Flash change the A button for Attack? He has all his units in group 7 so I wonder if he uses A to attack or a complete own hotkey layout. Also he doesn't use group 1 and 2.

Why are people always asking for stream numbers...? I think it is great that Flash, Jaedong etc are streaming. If you want high numbers go watch Athene or LoL Streams. That streams are boring as hell but get high numbers.
Actually quite the opposite, Flash's stream was boring and because of this got low numbers.
Streamers need to be held to a higher entertainment standard. We shouldn't be praying for these high quality skilled player streams, we should be happy when they come around watch them for what they are, and go back to the entertaining streamers.
I don't think LoL is as entertaining a game to watch, but it's certainly infinitely easier to commentate while playing and to learn from or to just have fun doing silly crap while playing.
Obviously boring/exciting are dependent on the viewer, but it's considerably more interesting for someone like me to watch someone like Stephano or Idra play because of what they can do outside the game rather than inside. If I want to watch amazing play I can watch any number of pro Korean players stream similar starcraft 2 skill. If I want to be entertained (interaction with chat, comedy, emotion, etc) I can watch any number of less skilled players playing any game that makes them happy.
I'm glad Flash streamed if for no other reason than I think that it proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that name recognition and superstar status alone do not mean you can boot up a stream and simply wreck the streaming competition. Streamers need to do more to put them head and shoulders above the crowd, and honestly I don't feel like Starcraft 2 has gameplay that allows them to do that. Frankly I think the best way to raise numbers of an SC2 stream would be to stream practice sessions, which totally destroys the secrecy. I guess pros will just have to decide what's more important, money from tournaments or money from streams :-/

The hotkeys are scrambled, so that they can't be identified, or you could pin a barcode to a player by looking at hotkey layout.

I'm not surprised that he 'only' hit 11k viewers with the lack of viewability for Europeans. If he streams again at a prime time Europe time (+watchable for America) I think he could get some incredible numbers.

Flash will not wake up midnight just to stream for those useless viewers!
Enjoyed his stream last night, it's nice to see his Terran macro in regular games that we normally see when he plays in tournaments.
I worry that his stream numbers if he continues though will be average at best like Jaedong's, as the hype dies over time down similar to when Jaedong started last year up to now. Ugh I wish they eventually could make efforts to speak and/or interact on stream (easier said than done ofc with language barriers)

Don't forget about July. He clocked in 800 apm on one televised game if I remember correctly.

It's also very distracting to speak and one of the reasons most foreigners don't improve.

hmm I dunno. I mean yes, he could've played better but his splits were insane at times and his multitasking/macro was pretty amazing. He did look tired though or that he didn't want to play.
He did random 2 base timings and used WM/hellbat drops/proxy mass reaper in TvZ, you really think he's going to do that in a real match?

I hope you guys aren't comparing BW apm to Sc2 apm. The tabulation is different.

Were not BW APM counting in real time, while SC2's one is still in-game time, no? If so, then 300 SC2 APM = 400 BW APM.
