YEAH!! The more UK scene the better!

I've heard of Demon but that's about it. Anyway, good luck in the future, good on ya to set up a team.
|
kind of a depressing name, honestly. I read the title and thought it was another "esports is dying!" thread.
good luck to your team though...
|
That's a pretty kick-ass name. Goodluck!

Gratz demon good pickup from Downfall

never heard of any of those players. all this "hype" in this thread is fucking retarded.

Was Xsnac in exe before? :D

I smell someone really mad. It stinks.

Thanks dude! We will try!

haha interesting name. The downfall of esports is hiring
|
Downfall? I'm gonna start a SC2 team, call it Dead Gaming.

Why so much publicity and hype for a community project? Oo there are hundreds of these teams out there, on similar and higher skill level...... I don't get the difference if someone cared to explain?
|
never heard of any of the players, but best of luck to you!

So now you heard about them and not of the hundreds of other community teams. mission accomplished ^^
good luck with the clan, if you play ESL Ladder we (aachen esport) would love to play against you

Exposure is important, without it teams would die off. It doesn't take a business major to understand this simple concept ... -_-
Good luck to Downfall Esports! If things start going wrong in the scene, we'll know who to blame now!
|
So the masses will be changing "Downfall, Downfall!", sounds kinda weird.
|
i misread "downfall of esports" and was expecting another esports-is-dying-doomsday-post, but this seems to be good news. good luck downfall esports sc2 team!

The point is, there is nothing professional about it ... Not yet anyways. I am not dooming anyone here, but it seems kind of ridiculous to make a big announcement for a little thing.

How is this announcement big? Its just a simple little one. And you saying there is nothing professional about us yet is daring since you do not know anything really and you are just assuming. And if it were true i think its much better to start on a professional note with an announcement if we are to get there.
Also i dont think many of thse "community project" teams have giveaways to startup with.

The Downfall of Esports is not this team, but people like you
In all seriousness, it's just one little thread, if you don't care for it or the team, just don't post here, leave them be. How hard is that?

This is an announcement for a new UK team, a place where the SC2 scene is definitely lacking, exposure is important in esports and who gives you the right to judge what is and isn't deserving of a thread?
They aren't a team full of Code S players yes, that doesn't mean they can't make a thread announcing their creation.
Seriously, attitudes like that...
|
LOL everytime I see a new team announcement on SC2 General forum on TL, unfortunately, they disappear some time after, like Eclypsia, Apex eSports, Virus Gaming, this is sad because there is so much involvement that is wasted by the non-performance of players, management conflict, or sponsor issues, anyways good Luck with your new team !

|
Best of luck to them! Only know Demon from UK scene, great terran player, looking forward to seeing what they can achieve as a team!

Swedish, Swedish, British, Romanian, Czech, Czech, German. I don't see it. EDIT: I mean, good luck and everything, but I've never heard of any of these players... so I feel certain there are plenty of British players who could replace them like-for-like if this is to be a "new UK team". If not, it doesn't matter.

Don't you think your name is a bit depressing and pessimistic though? Sounds a bit like a curse to me O_O

If the name was just "downfall" without the e-sports it would be bad enough. Really cool to see new teams though. Best of luck!

oh i thought they picked up jimmy ho =D
gl to your team! (dont think ive met these guys on ladder oo)

Fellow Czech countrymen. Good luck, guys. =D

You've completely missed the point... The person that I quoted (note that I didn't quote the OP) said that this team is, "a new UK team, a place where the SC2 scene is definitely lacking". The implication is that this team are going to help further the scene in the UK. As far as I am concerned, picking up a load of no-name players from outside of the UK when there are plenty of good no-name players within the UK isn't really helping to develop the SC2 scene in this country. For all intents and purposes, this is simply another faceless EU team. EDIT: But like I said, good luck and everything.
I believe that more teams will be beneficial for the UK, I'll probably be wrong cause I know jack shit about these things though.
The reason for my post was that the guy before was ridiculing this team for making an announcement when there is no reason they shouldn't, how else will people know they exist?
|
good luck, the players aren't that good but with the practice environment they will become better also gz demon and xsnac ^_^

The team name obviously is ironic and satirizing which is the point that leaves some people uneasy yes, and thats why i find it a great name for a team.
...oh and on the side note we are planning to contribute to the UK scene as we are planning to attend UK events if possible.

This was the sort of thing I had in mind when I suggested that they would be good for the UK scene, awesome news!

glad to be part of the development of Downfall Esports let s hope we have a bright future

We picked up two more German Grandmaster Zerg players check the thread for more information on them!

So EG isn't an American team cause they have koreans, UK and french players? It's where the team is originally from, in my eyes

GL! Its great to see more UK teams

Will be fun to see how much our team can accomplish! I think with the new Zerg pickups we can start fight for real!
Is it anyone who knows if there are any events coming up in the UK in the future?

So?
FXO are an Australian team sponsoring a Korean roster and a North American roster. Just because they no longer have any Australian players signed doesn't mean they're not an Australian team.

I have to remind myself constantly they're not but either way if they're attending UK events with a UK majority management - they are a UK team. Players who can compete well now are really hard to come by in the UK, anyone with even a chance of taking a map of someone half decent is already in a team, so I don't blame them for going elsewhere for players.
