The unranked matches are pretty intense when you go up against a couple of Masters. This could be a result of not that many players playing that mode at the time, but when you're low-ranked, the early shenanigans can throw you off. Blizzard should also put that command line thing, to fix background download, on the main opening client screen, because the lag is pretty horrible. And put on that opening screen when the problem has been fixed. Not everyone is going to have the expansion right away. Besides that, the HotS ingame features are pretty cool. (Once you go into the Options and make sure you can see enemy unit upgrades, and de-simplify the **card on the HUD--can't remember what it's called, but the bottom right panel, ingame). I don't know if you can disband one 'clan' and create another. (shows the tag before your name, like, [Markarr] yourname, and so-forth.) The optimal mineral/gas saturation guide (19/24 above your CC/N/Hatch) takes a bit to get used to, so try some UR games to start. *** (edt) THE VOICES! You can change the freaking voice language! I watched an old TLO FP game on youtube when he played as terran and had GERMAN voice-overs. . .that was the coolest thing I've ever heard! Now We Can Do That! the best thing about the new patch. Russian, Korean, Chinese, it's all there now. I just hope the future server update doesn't lag too much: watching MaximusBlack rank to diamond on the KR server (on youtube) was fucking intense as shit... I don't understand why people try to defend Blizzard on this. The executable feels extremely heavy, I barely can alt-tab without it freezing, when I click on menus in game it freezes. I constantly keep getting random freezes or crashes. I have a i7 with a top tier gpu (at least from 6 months ago)... It's nice that they added features and stuff but the whole program seems way too heavy and full of crashes. It was poorly designed in the first place, no hot-fix or "patch" will help those issues, let's just hope they just rewrite the whole thing for LotV but I doubt they will (because it would be way too time consuming) | ||

Past that, it's 2G, which is crazy--they should just put all the install info onto discs, when you buy the game. 1:1 is obviously waaaay faster than downloading. @HoboJoe.. Maybe I want to practice the ZvP mutalisk build offline? 2nd edit:good point with getting ppl into this game, but some have poor internet where they pay per MB. and like above, it would be easier to leave in the old system. That doesn't seem like a 'redundant mode' for straight-up practice that they should have removed. | ||

Unranked Play allows players to engage in matchmaking and find games vs. other players without the pressures of the ranking system. So is this a different matchmaking, or ranked players might play against unranked players? That would be dumb. Select All Larvae: Selecting a single larva will select all larvas attached to the same Hatchery. Wtf? The only times I select one larva is because I wan't to make 1 unit.. I hope this is optional. | ||
