This seems to be legitimate. Within the next few months, MoW wishes to close the old house and start up a new training facility. They also wish to create an eSports show featuring League of Legends. The award came from a Polish entrepreneurial competition in the form of 4 millionPLN roughly 1.3 millionUSD
With the shift in focus of the MoW house, MoW General Manager Maciej Krupowies confirmed to ESFI that the training facility will end its operations at the current house, but that there are plans to open another facility at a different house in the near future. BabyToss, Cube and Wilko are the only three players still living at the MoW house, and will be leaving by February 5th, which is when preparations for Gamers LIVE are set to begin.

The Ministry of Win intends to launch a new project known as Gamers LIVE, a 24/7 stream that will focus on the competition of two professional League of Legends teams.
To be honest, all i had to hear. I don't care. I hope they still pay their employees though.

If MoW messes this up, they are gonna regret they threw money at esports. Which is kinda sad.

But it means they are shifting towards LoL, not SC2 anymore.

Means we won't have to hear about their drama on SC2 forum anymore

This sounds like a League of Legends reality TV show, I don't get it at all.

They had a thread where they discussed the shift so the only new news is the grant which is pretty hefty. Everyone else who tuned into their Q&A session knew they were bringing in LoL teams.

Regardless of what the house is being used for, or what game it is I really hope MoW doesn't mess this up. If they screw up such a HUGE grant they'll make all of us look pathetic. You can do absurd amounts of things with 1.3MILLION. If they fail I don't know what to say other than the management should go back to working at whatever it is they do because they'd be horrible to be around any longer.
I hope they do well, but I'm really not holding my breath. Makes me sad :/

Yup, they are shifting towards some TV show, where LoL will be a featured game. Which is imo a shame, I personally don't like the new project at all; because despite of all personal doubts before I went into the house and drama, there was very little I could complain about (hell, even the food, which was a very loud drama in past, was awesome, could ask the cook to make something for you and she just did it.) during the last month. Sure, there would be areas of improvement, if the house would've stayed, but overall, a positive experience. Considered coming over for a week or so before DreamHack, but since the project is gonna be something completelly different, it's not really possible anymore.

This is unbelievable sad to me. When I think of all the infrastructure that could be added to help bring various teams and players along. With that kind of money it would be really easy to create a minor league type system with a few central team houses for training to really cut down on travel for teams that are up and coming.
MoW hasn't been able to show anything positive yet, not really holding out much hope but they do need to make esports/us look good by spending it wisely.

Well, this is fucking great isnt it? they give $1.3 million to one of the most useless organisations in the industry and now some investors may be scared off by them fucking up... This does nothing but bad for esports.

I'm going to pretend this award that magically came from Poland is just Azubu.

We need more conspiracy theorists on TL.

Honestly, the closing of the "team" house was long overdue. I also am not surprised that they are turning to LoL, where the money is. Just really hope they don't screw this up, but its should be pretty easy for them especially with $1.3 million.

Azubu Frost vs Azubu Blaze joining the house now when they get released from Azubu?
24/7 livestream from two of the worlds best team battling it out vs eachother for 100 grand?
Would be quite cool imo, even tho I dont like LoL.

Take it easy. Wait for them to fuck it up first, and then bitch.
