This is one thing I don't understand. As a player who has played against RuFF in GM League, I can tell you his builds are not unique at all. Its generic shit that he does every game to try to win the game early, because he cant macro for his life. Every time I saw RuFF in the loading screen, I would know I had to play safe and defensive every game, and it works out every time because he never plays a straight up macro game, and always tries to find ways to severely cripple an enemy to the point where his shitty macro can pull him for the victory. Granted, I haven't played SC2 for a year now and I don't know if his playstyle has changed or not, but this was what it was like to play against RuFF.

Yeah, I actually rooted for vVv's fighting division. Their SC2 division has always been lacking from what I can remember. We don't find much value in buying out top-talent. In SC2 we tend to focus more on developing players who are passionate about improving. For Example, Glon going to Bronze to Grandmaster and his runs at MLG, RuFF, Toxsik, daisuki, etc

Sorry everyone, I should of made it a bit clearer when I posted. Leaves can be seen as removed and I am not trying to frame it as "I left". I am sure you understand that internet is one of the biggest forms of miscommunication out there. This post is simply here to inform people that I am still going to keep going in the StarCraft Community. Not as a form to banter and argue with vVv. To be removed because I am not posting in a forum to satisfy players in lower leagues is not how I want to approach this game. I want to be competetive and practice with known players like back in the day while streaming and doing tournaments. I posted on a good note, I would hope it stays that way.

This much I buy. vVv has always had absurdly dumb unrelated requirements of their players.

A lot of hate in this thread, but it has to be said that watching RuFF play is quite entertaining.

Maybe not unique, maybe not elegant, but definitely fun to watch.

He's the same way. It's what I did to whenever I saw ruff on the screen. Play extremely safe where if you played vs a macro oriented terran you would be behind, but you know it doesn't matter you just have to survive his early cheese then proceed to win from there ^_^.

I wish you the best.
They wanted you to post in the vVv forums? Then kicked you for not doing so? I will not comment... but I am both surprised and extremely disappointed in their approach. You/Hasuu have sacrificed a lot to stay on that team through all of the shit that has happened in the past 8 months - would have hoped that you would at least have been able to benefit from the stability now.

Ruff, if you macro better, you can be pretty good.

Below is a brief outline of our new expectations. If you think any of these are 'absurdly dumb' or unrelated then I don't know what else to say.
+ Show Spoiler + You actively engage your fan-base on multiple mediums, including Twitter and Facebook, live streaming, and written and video content
You actively pursue promotion of your organization, sponsors and brand, both in-game and out
You are consistently in communication with your organization and management in terms of team development and brand promotion
You follow a consistent practice schedule (which includes strategy discussion and game play review as well as in-game practice)
At events you represent and support your organization 100% of the time (including networking with other teams, wearing team and sponsored gear, and utilizing social media)
At events you work with staff and management to create promotional media for the organization (including photos, video, interviews, etc)

Damn! Didn't know you were still around, you playing still? :p
As far as macro goes I do agree I lack there a bit, but I have been doing some decent macro play I got some nice 2 base timings that take a 3rd and 4th behind them. Dunno, I am just itchy to constantly be fighting on the map. Don't like to idle in the base a lot, prefer that agression. I've found reaper expands to be fun though because you are constantly controlling the reapers.

lol wow @ this thread, people need to step back.
I missed you and your builds ruff.

vVv is huge in LoL, not like LgN huge or TSM huge.
But they've got amazing LoL players.
As for SC2, I've tried to get onto the team but got denied due to age.
vVv did MLG(s) but then stopped suddenly.

I've not heard of you until now, but if you are truely "unothadox", that means you innovate your own builds rather than follow like a mindless sheep, and I hope the best for you. After release vVv streams were doing exceedingly well, they are still a good team, Best of luck, I used to watch you during physics at University.

I totally agree. playing defensive macro games are rather dull to watch. It's much more entertaining with constant contact between the two players. Personally I hate watching 30+ min games where nobody attacks at all.
People only seem to think only macro games = skill, but timing pushes are an art as well. I say keep up the good work RuFF!

Good riddance. If anyone is looking for the definition of a one trick pony, then this is it.

Good player, cool and innovative playstyle, I will continue to watch your stream. thanks ruff! Should also be featured based on the entertainment level
