Ddoro is now a part of ROOT again
Quantic has been a competitor for the top North American team since it’s inception. Featuring top tier players like State, Illusion and Hawk, it’s a real surprise to see them fall by the wayside.We swear that it wasn’t part of our plan to take over the NA scene and scoop up old mate ROOTDdoRo.
Really. Wasn’t us.
JungHo “DdoRo” Moon is one of the original members of ROOT Gaming dating back to the days of Destiny, KiWiKaKi, qxc and Minigun. Back then, like most Protosses of the time, it could be said that he played second fiddle to KiWiKaKi, but ROOT used him relentlessly in clanwar. Most notably, he scored a reverse all-kill against fNatic as ROOT’s ace.
DdoRo’s live tournament record has been limited to NA events, where he’s placed similarly to his Quantic bretheren — high enough to make a splash, but often just out of the limelight. A Korean resident of Canada, DdoRo also placed 3rd in WCS Canada, qualifying above TT1 and Drewbie. At the national finals, he tied with Fitzy after losing to eventual runner-up ViBE. DdoRo’s style is markedly fast-paced and active for a Protoss, his micromanagement is immaculate, and while I’m on a roll, he’s a super qt too.

Yeah I feel like ROOT's last announcement was a while ago (or I don't follow the scene enough anymore)! Good to hear they are still out there and getting new players!

Ddoro has been a staple since beta. Miss him from the Response streaming days.

Beta hero, but like with many Korean Canadian/Americans, have fallen off, hope he can rise back up as a top NA toss again.

ddoro used to be one of the protoss I'd watch whenever I could back when SC2 was young. His style is really solid and it always blew my mind that he wasn't really "popular" with how great he was playing.

Is ROOT not getting on the FP for a reason? It took someone asking in the Theogenes thread for it to show up. Not accusing, just curious if it was that they just forgot/didn't notice or intentional. These are two pretty big pieces of news for a great team.
