I play(ed) zerg, mid master level EU basically since release until this autumn, but ... game is so gdamn boring now. And no, I don't find it interesting to play or watch infestors everywhere. Best thing that could happen to the game would be to remove infestors and remove forcefields, and then rebalance afterwards. Not like that would happen. So back to playing lol / dota2 / dishonored / guild wars / randomothergames for me. Of course, I paid for GSL every season, MLG, first NASL, etc, but I stopped watching completely now because the games are boring.

And Korean Zerg, the patch don't apply to them? I know there is some problem when you see the number of low foreigner zergs who became suddenly good with the patch, but you can't say (like the OP) that all the zerg foreigners who are good are patchzergs: Stephano or Nerchio did well and rose before the patch, it's a fact, and they were really good at muta/ban/ling (Stephano was known in spring 2011 in Europe for his ZvT and his use of burrowed ban when the infestors were rarely used and the T3 was reached much later). I really don't understand this conspiracy theory: Blizz want that the foreigners (sorry to prefer this terms than "white people", i don't call koreans "yellow people") wins so they buff zergs.... ok, and koreans don't play zergs?

People got banned for way less than bashing every foreigner and inventing conspiracies. Cool, thanks for sharing!

But the SC2 engine operates that all units move in clusters. One fungal can score 20 marines, something that would've been impossible in BW due to the units pathfinding and the fact that you moved your units 12 at the time instead of an army of 100 with 1 button.

sure fungal is incredibly strong right now, but the balance switches back and forth continuously. blizzard will introduce changes to the game until it is balanced. rushing them into making changes sooner is not indisputably the best thing to do as a community member to try to make the game better. besides, blizzard is not the only gateway of improvement in terms of balance; think back to dt/corsair. people figure shit out. also, i don't understand how you expect others to take your opinion seriously if you make it as hard as you possibly can to make your opinion sound like facts. + Show Spoiler + Naturally everyone is affected by this, but small errors with Terran count exponentially more than other races. Zergs can make absurd comebacks with ease; on the other hand, Terrans almost never do. They have no margin for error while Zerg has an excessive tolerance for mistakes. Well, we gave Blizzard more time, and look where it got us: an unequivocally worse product than before. Unfortunately, SC2 is not a game that linearly rewards skill. etc.

If I didn't have my KeSPA boys playing SC2 now, I'd have probably quit watching already too.

This was a really well done article, and it makes perfect sense in economic terms. Compare the potential number of customers has in Europe and the US to Korea. They are not even close. There are so many more porential opportunities for Blizzard to sell their game outside of Korea. In 2004 Blizzard was the best company in the world, they cared about the fans equally and we loved them for it. Now hey just care about the money, and though it will get them more sales short term. In the long run it will not pay off. They should count their blessings that there are no other legitimate RTS's in the gaming industry to compete with them. Let the best player win. That is how games should work. Grubby had a 90% win rate on war3 ladder because he was one of the best. Now the best have 70.

After the latest patch terran pros seem to be having an easier time though, let's give it some time, cut the QQ and be satisfied. Those who deny that zerg was the most boring and OP race throughout much of 2012 is either blind, not playing nor watching, or a biased zerg.
