This would have been a wonderful OP if you left it as a deserved indictment of fungal and the infestor, instead of donning your tinfoil hat and careening off into conspiracy-theory land.

Haha, I can't tell exactly where the line is between the funny and the serious, because i am sure there is a bit of both in here.

The statistics you have presented have been greatly swayed by the one foreigner who has consistently beaten Koreans. Stephano he is a Zerg, but he is not a patch Zerg, and has put up good results far before this was an issue. Besides Naniwa, a Protoss foreigners haven't put up that great of numbers vs Koreans. And in fact without Stephano and Naniwa the Foreigner wins vs Koreans would look alot like the Terran's. Although Infestors create silly gameplay they do not create an imbalance. The statistics you are pulling numbers from are just not enough. Its an interesting read but I would take those statistics with a grain of salt...

Yeah out of the 45 foreign zerg wins against korea, 27 of them are stephano. does that really count?

broodlings - 0$, infested terrans - 0$, spinecrawler - not a unit. Beating protoss without using a single unit that cost money - priceless.

It's unusual to think that Blizzard cares enough about esports to purposely rig the game... yet it took years for them to allow an offline tournament.

SC2 has become a cry of imbalance from every race. Its terrible for the game. When people lose, its easy to point fingers. There was never this much cry in SC;BW. People who complain about balance will never improve simply because of their mindset. So sad.

* not at Ver. My post concerns people who do complain.

1 year of fungal being OP - still not nerfed
Couple of games demonstrating snipe could be used in a powerful way lategame - instant nerf, damage halved

"How does zerg win when fungal gets nerfed?"
"How does terran win without snipe?"

I don't know, skill maybe?
There is no such thing is "e-sports". There is Brood War, and then there is crap for nerds.

When LOL took off in the esports industry, it must have turned heads in Blizzard. The buff and dominance of zergs comes during a time when LOL is skyrocketing in viewership.

LoL's enormous popularity could be viewed as a possible motivating factor. I like where your head's at.

I don't blame those who don't understand Ver's post. Only those who had put their faith on terran and keep trying hard on the ladder to earn league promotion after trying every single terran units, will truely understand the feeling of Ver. We had put our feelings aside, we tried to stop our complaint, keep our heads down and practise like mad, but when reality kicks in, a dead end is a dead end.

Sometimes it pains me so much that we are at the end of WOL, but the game that we loved and put so much efforts in will end as a broken game.

You made a lot of sense until you got into the conspiracy theory that blizzard buffed Zerg so SC2 can have more stream viewers. This accusation is ludicrous and not very well thought out. Your information is quite dated in the fact that blizzard has stated numerous times that they want to nerf the infestor... Hard. Just look at David Kim's recent statements on new changes coming to HoTS:
"Zerg

1. Hydralisk movement speed upgrade to Lair

2. Mutalisk buff to speed and/or acceleration

3. Ultralisk changed to be good vs. all ground

4. Nerf Infestor quite heavily

5. Make it easier to unburrow and reposition Swarm Hosts"

They obviously recognize the problem and are looking into fixing herp derp fungal spam infested terran 1a blords.
SC:BW has a higher skill ceiling than SC2? SC 64 is where it's at brah.

Yep, a game where foreigners can stand toe to toe with Koreans, up until at least recently.

What's Riot's plan for Season 3?

Nerf aggression so that Foreigners can once again sit in lane and farm to their heart's content without worry of huge Korean plays. Riot is in on it too! Eliminate the skill! Let the white man prosper!
