Features that Blizzard still hasn't talked about implementing:
1. Watching highest ranked ladder players in obs view (like in Dota2) unless this is what they mean by in-game streaming 2. Clan/Individual in-game weekly tournaments 3. In-game training system 4. Watching replays with other people
In order of importance

That has already been confirmed. In game streaming i'm pretty sure is allowing people to stream their game to twitch or whatever without the need for external software. Dunno how confirmed that is though.

No one listened to me when I said Blizzard doesn't give a shit about Esports - They don't. The only reason they say they do is so people will continue to support them. I'm not sure how much more obvious this can be when THEY HAVE A TECHNOLOGY that their only using for their tournaments.
Guys, really - This technology is not that complicated. Blizzard is slow playing their hand because they can make more money this way just like in poker. They could have given tournaments this kind of server from the start, but they didn't cause they haven't figured out how they're going to charge people.
I use to believe in Blizz, but fuck that. They really are just trying to get money now - which is fine, but that's all they care about. They really do not give a shit about the community. If they did, they would be do a way better job with this shit.

They said months and months ago that they had this server available and if the tourney is willing to pay to hire it and then have security protect it 24/7 that tourneys could use it but it probably hadn't been tested and no tourney was goin to take the risk of it crashing or what not.
They had a bad experience with the WoW tourney server code being leaked and aren't going to make that mistake again. Blizz give a massive fuck about esports but they also have to protect their IP and as such they aren't going to just let every random LAN tourney use their special server.
This is the first time the local server has been deployed for en event and they are testing it out, you will probably see it used for many major LAN events now. GSL and OSL will likely get one a piece to use for their events, MLG will definately use it.
Blizz have never once said that its for their use only, I don't know where you pull that piece of trash from (well I do.... out of your ass) but you really should wake up and learn how the real world works. Blizz want control of their product, they don't want Kespa or anyone else to run tourneys without their permission and they don't want pirate servers like iccup and they have a right to keep back any technology they want to achieve that.

Things that people claim that blizzard hasn't said they will do, but they actually are working on, plan to work on in the future or would like to do if possible:
Replays with friends Resume game from replay Tournament system In game streaming
only thing they've never talked about from your list, is an in-game training system, though I have no idea what you mean by that and why should that be up to blizzard. LoL doesn't have it, nor does Dota2 and those are the standard by which people seem to judge SC2 features by these days.
If you want in game training, you get a coach and they coach you or you play against better players and friends. Why should blizz implement something? You have UMS maps that train all kinds of things, do you just want it spoon fed to you?

I wonder exactly how stupid you must feel if you are one of those guards, standing there with your gun and watching a pc stand around 24/7.

Im not talking about what was the reason, i was talking about the people saying it was not a (bnet) connection drop.

Not to mention Wtf, lol, they expect armed guards to protect the server.....gee no wonder no one has taken up the offer, probably a couple 30 grand just to get the server, on top of paying armed guards and everything only for the potential for a better connection.

Just putting this out there: IPL, I live in Vegas, and am a licensed armed security guard in the state of Nevada.
I will guard the server for free.

I would think armed security guards should be relatively easy to find in a Vegas casino environment. Not sure how much it would cost to pick up two from the property owner, though. Awesome to volunteer, but you know you can't have any thumb drives on you right?
Very nice interview, and while the post seems to be pointed squarely at the tournament server, the entire interview is full of interesting things.

Interesting, but the cost for a tournament would be probably way to high, as most issues are not internet related anyway(most of the time its the hardware at place, you know LAN and stuff). And yeah if they have huge internet problems, then there wouldn't be many viewers. But it is nice for tournaments that doesn't need income from online audience.

There are already unofficial SC2 servers. There is already a pirate LAN crack. Protecting against piracy is no longer a valid excuse (never was). If these LAN crack versions can't play on the official ladder they didn't fail in their protection against piracy did they? Uhh, thats a dumb way of looking at it? LAN has dick all to do with battle.net. You can implement LAN and have an online/official ladder. You can hack an X360 but you can't go online either. Because the authentication is server-side. So we could've had LAN and no pirated versions on ladder the entire time.
People thinking holding back LAN provides benefits to them that it most definitely doesn't is exactly why Blizzard never felt enough pressure to put LAN in. Ignorant consumers ftl.

Not saying you're untrustworthy, but I would be much more suspicious of a SC2 fan guarding data that, if it was released, would be beneficial to the scene as a whole than someone who gave 0 shits about SC2 except that they're getting paid to stand next to a computer.

I remember DJWheat saying that blizzard has had this for years. All tournaments can use it if only they pay for a guard to protect it. So where is the news? Am i wrong?
Edit: NVM has already been mentioned.

It took them two years and it's still restricted.
They're control freaks.
We've had the ability to have LANS ever since I can remember.
Honestly if you haven't lived through that period and checked out the latency for yourself. You just don't know what you're talking about it.
