We were in there until closing last night. It is a great bar and funnily enough one of the staff there is from Swansea, so plenty to talk about.

Really impressive coverage,
Keep up the good work!!!

Already got a stack of them lined up and we'll be starting to upload them soon enough. We're just not wanting to interfere too much with the net as the Stream has to be the priority.

Updated with a feature article about how Cadred came to be at the HomeStory Cup, the history of the event and our first impressions called "The Home Story".

Loved it! Especially the part of the guy lying face down outside the bar and him mentioning that he thought stephano arrived :D Made me laugh out loud

BlinG seems really down to earth in that interview. Glad he's learnt his lesson from WCS, maybe he'll make it up at this event
|
|
Awesome coverage guys, need to get my ass to an event again to meet you Richard! Amazing video tour, and as someone said earlier, had no idea who "small" it really was.
|
Updated the main thread now so it shows the video interviews for BlinG and ClouD. Would have done it sooner but was busy with other interviews.
Next two will be Nerchio and iNControL...
|
Added the vdeo interview with Nerchio...
|
And now just added a great interview with iNcontroL - very candid and very lengthy (about 16 minutes).
|
Added a video of Golden's micro in his game against MVP.
|
Added a video of Sheth and YongHwa playing in the "stage" area.
|
Added a write up about the shock of the day, Monchi beating MVP.
|

If I could, I'd make you interview everyone there.
Thanks for the coverage, your videos are much better than most interviews.

Updated with the second group stage and the Group E & F summary.
Again, thanks for the kind words. Plenty more to come on the third day.

LOL the guy in the background during the Cloud interview!

He actually interrupted the interview with BlinG and started spouting this insane poetry to the camera. He's on Youtube apparently and is a known local character in Krefeld. He came along every couple of hours or so blowing a whistle.
We'll probably post the footage of him when everyone is at the party.
|
Updated with some more photographs from the event.
|
Updated with a summary for group G & H.

Nice interviews and VoDs from the house. Keep up the good work.

These interviews are great, best sc2 interviews I've seen so far!
|
I was going to post this in the Destiny thread but it was closed so I guess I'll just post it here. If it should be deleted I will happily do so but just my thoughts on the interview.
Very good interview.
I like Destiny and don't get why people hate him so much. He said in his interview you can't expect everyone in a community to act the same and on that you can say the same thing about the players. Not every player is going to be the same and it seems stupid to me to expect every player to act the same when it just won't happen. On that note I think it is also inappropriate if you don't like a player to go out of your way to hurt his profession. (contacting sponsors) It's understandable but on a SOTG it was stated that one can't just contact about the bad but also the good too. And to hurt his profession and income on the basis of language seems sort of out there. Destiny or anyone for that matter does not go to your private home or watch you and the second you say something wrong in that person's eyes go to your boss and affect your income and way of life. Of course I can sit here and say that if you don't like him don't watch him but I won't because that won't happen. I understand that when your profession is so open to the public much more people will be offended but idk it just seems odd to me to go out of ones way to hurt the guy.
Its not my place to make a judgement on the community as a whole and I certainly can not live up to my own expectations but if we are going to be so critical on the way Destiny acts why aren't we so critical on the way we act when we BM or are just hanging out with our friends. I'm sure many of the people who complain and dislike him have done the same things he has in the past and like he says it doesn't mean we are racist or homophobic but we've said it and anyone can make that judgement out of context so I guess if we expect him and every pro to be perfect then we have to hold ourselves up to the same standards and scold ourselves when we do the same things we would scold Destiny for.
But back on topic I think Destiny is a very good debater and just a good speaker in general. I hope he doesn't quit after 3 months as I love to see him around but its not my choice.
Probably not the right place to say but just my thoughts I guess.

It's all good anyway. Just appreciate being able to share the stuff we're doing with people who appreciate it.

I would guess Destiny didnt listen to your blog Kennigit, just read the title. I can't imagine listening to your blog and missing the point by that much >.>
Otherwise, an interesting interview though I disagree with Destiny on the "word usage" points.

No videos of the afterparty or something? :-D Pictures?

I felt it would be a bit intrusive to take pictures / video footage when the players are trying to unwind and enjoy themselves.

Thanks. They've been getting a lot of attention this time around, which is great. I've been doing SC2 stuff for a while but I think this is the first time anyone's really paid attention. Looking forward to doing more in the near future.

It was more a time constraint issue. We had people kindly offer to translate but really, when the players had limited time between games and were trying to have fun, I'm not the kind of guy to be really forceful and push them into an interview. Given that I'm new in the SC2 scene for doing this type of thing and not so well known I don't want to piss anybody off by being too forceful.
I'm sure next event we'll rope in some Koreans to join in the fun.
