So that a 10pool for a bit faster queens is not shooting oneself in the foot eco wise. Some would say that this would encourage more 6pools, but I don't think so cause you still have the same amount of larva.
I agree! And barracks should be 25 minerals. Nexus should be free.

You crack me up Let`s make larvae be returned from cancelled eggs too while were at it. Should not have any effect on early rushes Edit: just realized: if it costed 50 you could actually start making the pool at once. Hahahaha

what exactly does increased ground range help accomplish?

Hahahaha Idk if this is what you were getting at but they made larva from cancelled eggs a thing for like a day in the beta. Early pools were obviously completely imbalanced so we just had to hide from the ladder until they fixed it. Luckily it was pretty quick :D

For Zerg players that day is known as the blood red day of bountiful flesh gorging, or simply the perfect day. We commemorate its memory once a year with a giant wicker egg that we set fire to. Quite the sight actually.

You have obviously never played StarCraft 1. Spawning pools used to cost 150 minerals and the 4 pool was broken, to say the least.

So what if you could make a pool at once. You still wont have any more larva, you cant 6pool with more lings, it would just come a few secs earlier. It would still not be a viable strat in any circumstance, hell Z cheese is way underpowered if you ask me. Though it would make up for somewhat a better weak Z early game.

The pool still takes time to build. Enough time for you to get enough larva and mine enough minerals to make 6 lings immediately. Game over.

Ugh the horror for 6pools.. I dont even want to think about it lmao.

Would be pretty much the same if a rax would cost 100 Minerals because 2rax is broken.

I'm not even sure if you're serious because of how ridiculously strong it'd be

Yay! Range 5 queen makes me a happy ZvZer!

Why is this so much stronger than a normal 6 pool? You will not have any more larvae. You will be supply capped at the same places etc. Even with todays 6pool you are not broke, you are short of larvae. Its not like more money will spawn you more larvae.

Protoss and zerg players are just so ungrateful and greedy. Seriously some of the comments that are being made are actually rediculous. I dont think they will ever be happy until everything that they build is free.

That's my point, though, they're trying to fix something that ain't broken. And if it's meant for hellions, queens are too slow to ever properly deal with hellions. And even then, we either drop an early roach warren for 3-4 roaches or randomly make a ton of slings to surprise sex the hellions with a massive surround and take complete map control. I liked the idea of the energy buff because it allowed queens to be a little more versatile in their defense. Which they're still not. They're great against very small numbers of air or ground units, but are otherwise useless and are better off just sitting by themselves injecting. They basically have a role outside of larva/creep in the first 4-5 minutes of the game and the last 4-5 minutes of the game...assuming you reached brood lords.

Larva is produced at a rate of 1 every 15 seconds. Also, spawning pool takes over a minute to finish building. You'll have the larva. Also, I take it you don't 6 pool much. The standard six pool actually incorporates extractor tricks to reach 10 lings quickly and then the ovie right after. Your suggestion is broken. Move on.

Faster overlord ruins any rush and all-in strategies in ZvZ. Now, every Zerg will be ready to any incoming atack in ZvZ. That matchup now becomes a totally macro-oriented game. Sadly...

Is the 5 Range buff US only, or am I using the wrong map? When I test it the Queen has 50 Energy as it was before,
