I really hope they are looking at the whole area of board control even after the removal of the shredder, SC2 needs units like that.
|
I hope they just use beta to test unit idea. I am sick of people complaning about something that they know very little about.

Soo, lets turn the tempest EXACTLY into the carrier...Just with a shorter build time( I'm only assuming ) and probably cheaper. Huh, nice work.

I really wanna see how many zergs really going to use the vipers ability to blind stuff...If only there was already a unit that sticks units in their place and kills them
Good updates imo.I am a terran and i really would like to see a decent mech approach.Take your time blizzard. We already have a beautiful game in our hands and we can wait for the expansion.

Everything about HoTS sounds absolutely terrible to me. Hope I'm wrong.

The games not even in beta yet...
Changes look good and show that they're definitely testing out stuff rather than taking the knee-jerk reactions that are half of the posts in this thread so far. I'll wait to try them for myself before deciding but I'm always excited about new stuff!

We have decided to keep the overseer Yes! I love the overseer! So happy ^^ Not sure if we need these alternative Nydus Worms, because it sounds like stuff you can achieve by OV spread and drop. Generally I like the idea of variety of worm mechanics though. I hope they keep the Carrier, after all, hope they read what proportion of the fans want it. The Terran anti-siege missile reminds me for some reason of Dune 2's Death Hand of Harkonnen; I mean, it will probably have some serious disadvantages to its usage, otherwise it would easily become the most op unit in the game.

I can see 4-5 of these eating minerals in your opponents base pretty frustrating if your terran, with the lack of melee units. "Blinding" cloud just reduces range by 1. It's not Dark Swarm, you don't need melee units for this.

They've already talked about a beta. It'll show them how ridiculous any idea of a caster gaining energy from the most abundant resource in the game is.

I wish they would just bring out a beta for us to play around with but by the sounds of the changes they have made and are still making, i can't see a beta being anywhere close to being ready... I don't know that I want "air protoss" to be an option. It doesn't exactly fit with their particular idiom of being an honorable warrior culture with superior technology.
you can't be a honorable warrior in an aircraft?? And I just think it would give Protoss more options than they currently have, and isn't that Blizz's whole 'things' behind the expansions?

I actually think the mineral to energy thing is pretty cool and I'm excited to see what they do with the nydus worm.

Doesn't sound like they are close to release, makes me sad

It's not exactly the same.
It will have guaranteed damage. Our own broodlord.

when a carrier attacks you want to sit back and jsut blow up the intercepters instead of running in and attacking the main army

I'm glad the Thor might be kept.
Very concerned about the Tempest though. Sounds like a very very dangerous addition to the Protoss ball.

They focus so hard on making role specific units and not ones with possibilities for diversity. Ffs, they say "this is supposed to do this because of this reason".

We are also trying some additional abilities on the nydus network to allow you to spawn different types of nydus worms. The most interesting worms have been a worm that can spew creep across several screens to create a zerg assault highway, as well as a worm that attacks only enemy buildings, meant to be used as a ground-based zerg base raider.
my body is ready

I'm quite disappointed because terran is not getting any factory anti-air.(Who is gonna fly their brood lords into floating spider mines?) I also feel that terrran needs another factory unit like the Goliath.
|
"The warhound still feels a little too much like a small thor, which is just not new enough to give terran players new strategies.
If we keep the Thor, we are currently experimenting with an anti-air spider mine that would give the terrans a way to get some factory-built anti-air into small places that a Thor has trouble reaching (like near your minerals). Whether this is meaningful, considering terrans have marines, is still in question???????? We are also experimenting with an extremely long-ranged terran missile launcher that can be used to break siege tank lines to make terran-vs.-terran factory-based games more dynamic."
If terran dosen't get a decent warhound and if Blizzard dosen't make mech more viable vs P/Z im finally gonna be able to drop sc2 without regret. Anti-air spider mine? Really? Long ranged terran missle launcher? Awfull thor still in game?
From what I read here it dosen't really look like a expansion...it looks more like a terran nerf.
