If memory serves, Prime had a former partnership with Chinese team WE, and another Chinese team recently partnered with FXOpen as well. thought it was pandarea.

Looking forward to see what these Chinese teams can do. They are the true known unknowns of the sc world.
Thank God and gunrun.

Going to be awkward again if Edison has to translate again sitting behind the player's back.
That was really creepy.

I have a pretty low opinion of Chinese players, in fact they're mostly all crappy but Xigua is the best of a bad bunch and given he's playing Killer (who has appalling PvZ) I think Xigua might actually make it through a round.

Looking forward to seeing just how good the Chinese elite is. The only comparison I've seen is that MVP > Xigua, which was hardly surprising, nor did it say much about the Chinese top level.

Maybe (although I think Xigua in general is underrated..) but if it generates a bit more interest in the game in China, that could be huge for the state of competition. It should be interesting to see what the best of the world's biggest nation can provide once integrated with the Korean scene. I must admit I'm not a total expert on Chinese players, but hey, foreigners hwaiting.

XiGua is probably THE most underrated zerg atm, I mean, he took #2 at WCG and played good games against MVP.... I am sure he can do well and prove himself in the GSL. Good luck to them

They've been there for a while as far as I'm aware.
Edit: I guess not, according to the article they arrived yesterday.

They're actual the exact opposite and are extremely overrated. Lots of people assume that because we don't see them play they must therefore be really good and it's not too uncommon to see people make ludicrous claims like "the Chinese scene can rival the Korean" and other such absurdities. Everytime we see Chinese players play they're doing strategies from six months ago and generally playing bad.

Chinese players have an appalling record on LAN, even in their home country (Stars War, IEM China). Xigua coming 2nd at WCG (having beaten virtually no one of any note) is their only LAN result.

For those who are wondering, the linked article talks about how they will be staying at the Prime dorm. Also, Edison says a little about how there are more practice partners in korea than in china, where most gamers play dota and wc3. The usual "happy for this opportunity" and "hoping for good results" is also there too. truthfully my chinese isnt that good but thats what i could offer.
