from the lack bnet features (CROSS REGION PLAY, i still cant play with my old buddys, clansupport,proper chat etc) to the shitty ladder system(and custom game system) and ofcourse i just got bored by all the fotm allin play in a many games and the deathball x vs deathball y , winner wins the game situations. from the time when i bought my way into beta where i loaded it up for the first time and had a little tear in my eye actually seeing sc2 in action the first time this game sure managed to turn me off. ofc will still get hots and see if things get better but honestly at this point i dont have much hope left. | ||

Reason number 1: "omg so cheesey, no skill"... take a lesson from koreans, there is aggressive builds, and then is non-aggressive macro based builds. It's a part of the game just like a team that blitzes all the time in football, do you call that cheesey? Because that is exactly what it is but you never hear teams/players/fans crying about "oh the pittsburg steelers, they're so cheesey, they constantly put pressure on and play all out and all in" ... I hate to say this, but this is just that damn entitled american attitude that so many of us ( yes im american ) are developing. Take a lesson from koreans.. They're strategies, not "cheeses".. get that word out of your vocab. Reason number 2: "i'm scared of ladder"... are you that mentally weak? Change your mindset is all I have to say. You're not scared of ladder, you're scared of getting your @ss kicked. You're scared of losing. You're a b*tch ( pardon my french TL ) pretty much. It's a computer game, and you're letting your ego get the best of you. This is what I did, I tell myself I want to learn how to be as gracious a loser as I possibly can be when I do lose. Any of you that watch stephano play on streams, he laughs when he loses. Then he finds out what he did wrong, and then he moves on with life. So once again, it's your ego and your mentality, it's YOU it's not the damn game. The other reasons, like bnet sucks, interface etc. etc. yeah, I kind of have to agree, blizzard you seriously disappoint sometimes. | ||

1. the interface is horrible. you feel alone. there is little to do. no tournaments. horrible custom map system. no real statistics. below masters you don't even see your losses. 2. you cannot change your race. it's completetly ridiculous to assume that people only want to play one race or that they are at the same skill level with every race. it's stupid. most people play 2 or even 3 races. 3. the map pool is bad. way better than in the beginning, but still pretty horrible. 4. the game just lacks in gameplay. it's just not that well designed. units are all bound to single (hard counter) roles, often making them boring. micro just isn't too important, there's little you can do in reaction to Forcefield, Fungal, Concussive, etc.. 5. cheese is extremely prevalent and strong and often hard to scout (and in lower leagues where there is little scouting done, you just lose), or even if you scout it you often can't do much about it. even in higher leagues it's cheesecraft to a certain extent. | ||

Unless you are way ahead ( in which case is a matter of not losing the game ) there is no point in attacking before 200/200 if its not and all in. Pressure before 200/200 exists, non all in timings to kill an expo or make your opponent do an army trade that is in your advantage exist in all matchup but the mirror one as far as i know ( more or less pvz ), harass exists. But all those things are hard to do unless you have the apm, and quite frankly being able to produce units constantly might not be as fun as sentry dropping but its easier and more important do to. You need to learn how to play really well and to have the appropriate mechanics if you want to be able to do that which you can't have if you didn't train enough or don't have a rich wc3 or sc;bw background. | ||

lots of problems. The ladder didnt intrigue me. i got to Diamond and TvZ got frustrating. My friend is trying hard and is still motivated and playing but i find no enjoyment anymore. Id play the game more often if the custom maps weren't butchered to shit. No chance for potential, always Tower defense, never not Tower defense ;l It would come down to the point where i didnt play the game because i didnt enjoy it. Its hard to put my finger exactly on the problem, probably cause im just annoyed by a bunch of things that i dislike subconsiously | ||

I have been playing SC2 since beta patch 13, so I've been with the game for close to 2 years. I moved about 6 months ago, and have only had access to internet through my Droid. It saddens me, because i have an inherent 300-500ms lag spikes that are very intermittant and random, sometimes lasting a few seconds, other times lasting long enough to kick me out of the game. Because of this, I can't keep my ladder ranking like I want it, so i play as little as possible to keep my account active. I wish i could play more, im just tired at sitting at the top of diamon ladder playing low masters mmr'ish players and losing because of Lag. So yea, i stopped playing as much, but only because i have to. Its like cruel and unusual punishment, i hate it. I miss my mass 50 games a day on sc2 | ||
