Phoenix buff is good to give protoss an option, but will not be a huge change. Fleet beacon js way expensive and then you still have to pay and wait for the upgrade.. Meanwhile zerg can just switch out kf muta.

Its pretty disheartening to see terran nerfed in the lategame where they are already at their weakest. Agreed, I actually do dabble in Terran and it's really difficult to play competently, I like the mechanically taxing nature of the race, actually tempted to switch over if it wasn't so damn hard Ravens with HSM as a counter to the Zerg lategame comp is an interesting idea, and may work similarly to the 'max on 3/3 Carrier/Voids and win' The difficulty is transitioning safely I'll wait and see how the game develops in the next bit, fed up of having to do stupid timing attacks against Zerg or get rolled as Protoss.

Sad to see the snipe nerf. Was one of the few cool things to watch imo, along with marine splitting, good blink micro, baneling bombing and the likes. I don't think a lot of people posting here understand how difficult it is to switch to ghost production in sufficient numbers for it to be good and just cry imbalance.

How do you do this? Infestors are camping until Vikings engage.. You are absolutely not able to snipe those in time not to get fungaled in which case its over, because ALL Vikings just die right away. And you need to engage first with Vikings, because otherwise Broodlords will go all the way, so tell me, please..

Have you ever actually tried to go raven against fungals plus corrupter? Yeah HSM are pretty deadly against stacked broods but if you can't even get off more than 3 before all your ravens die a horrible death you are not going to kill a single broodlord against a decent Zerg. And even if you kill off a good amount it would probably still not be cost efficient if you lost all your ravens in the process because of fungals.
I want to be with those who share secret things or else alone.

I just thought about something. If the range upgrade for Phoeniwes solve the "muta problem" in PvZ, what's going to be the use of the Tempest unit in the next expansion? His area attack to air units was supposed to deal with mutas... The Tempest already was a shitty unit, now, it is going to be a shitty unit without any purpose.

And frankly, the Mule modification plainly annoys me because it is so illogical. Gold minerals give you x2 blue minerals,,and MULEs are supposed to mine at x2 the rate of SCVs... Therefore, Mules in gold minerals should be x4 (transitive relation). It seems to me they realize gold minerals where a stupid idea from the beginning, but they don't want to lose face just deleting them, so they came up with a half-assed solution.

Well, just your usual Blizzard hurting e-sports.

so you make vikings and he remaxes with ultras and lings and you die horribly, can't wait~~~

Seriously, if this makes it through the PTR in it's current form it's going to have noticeable impacts on lategame terran play.

Terran players, instead of QQ-ing. Why don't you go play a friend in a custom game and start SPLITTING VIKINGS. this patch is only good for the balance of the game.

Pretty sad about these changes. I don't feel good about these nerfs, especially snipe..

Zerg already doing good in the matchup and then they nerf the only powerful counter to Zerg Hive Tech so much..;

at least ultras are more viable now . Terrans shouldnt whine, i got the feeling the next patch after this will have a raven buff (at least i hope this) so terran have an alternative in lategame. Range 6 für HSM is just too bad and 125 energy too .

The snipe change is sort of like the neural parasite change - and we all know how much neural parasite is still used.

The problem I have with this game is that the only matchup that feels tactical is TvT

Also super units. Why do single units need to be so powerful? Broodlords/colossi/thors/ 5,3 ultras are all so strong games turn into getting as many of these units as possible as quickly as possible.

Eh, not the end of the world. Will make lategame tvz engagements extremely positional and finicky, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Looks like sniping infestors will be the main use of ghosts now, and then vikings to fight broodlords. Mule change is great, no doubt.

Overall I'm a fan of changes that raise the skillcap - not because I'll ever reach it, but because it's more fun to watch the pros.

the damage of the seeker missile is "pretty good" if they don't bunch up their units....
but then again... the range of seeker missile is very very very bad
