@digmouse: I never ever have any issues except for downloading this mod and I've been using the firefox manager for 10+ years so I think I'll pass on any dl managers for now, thanks anyway!

@Blazethesage: Sadly I prefer to play these campaigns with my own music blasting fairly loud so I mainly rely on subtitles, which in this case is obviously a mistake.

When you lose a mission and click Restart, it does *not* restart the mission, but instead takes you to the list of all missions.

is there a way to play the retro edition mod with other languages?
retro edition mod only allows english.

I don't know if i did something wrong, but i cant load any map with the Launcher. Its say "Unable to Open Map" and it bring me back to the Login Screen.

I open the Launcher VIA the Editor by using "Test Document".

I placed "SCMRmaps_v5.0.zip" and "SCMRmapsBW__v5.0.zip" Into the "Maps" folder.
I placed "MassRecallRetroEdition.zip" into the "Mods" folder.
Note : Of course i UnZiped the Archive.

When i try to Play a map via the Launcher, it say "Unable to Open Map". But, when i load them Manualy, it works fine.

if anyone know what i did wrong, Please Help me. Thank you.

The maps need to go into a separate folder within the "Maps" folder that you must create called "Starcraft Mass Recall".

Starcraft 2>Maps>Starcraft Mass Recall

Things like this are very precise. Something calls for a specific path, and by god it will look under that specific path and nothing else. Even if the map it's looking for is right there, if the path it's told to look for is broken or missing, it just can't find it.

Hello, just wanted to report that I found the difficulty spike abnormally in Protoss 08 in easy. I can barely construct defences without being swarmed by enemies on all fronts, fully upgraded and with all available units. It's a bit ridiculous and discouraging for a semi-casual as I am

Hello everyone, I'm having problems when Launching a map from the menu of the SCMR Campaign Launcher, a warning message pops up saying "Unable to open map" or something like that, I put the maps in the right path, and the mods too. If something's wrong please correct me

Seriously, Protoss 08, I've just tried it again, no matter what kind of strategy I use, the enemy simply destroys me in seconds. I'm still trying to build Dragoons, they are already attacking me with Arbiters, Carriers, Scouts, basically everything they can throw at me, around every few minutes, I don't even have time to rebuild anything at all, I'm constantly attacked from all fronts. Am I the only one having trouble with this? Am I looking at it from the wrong angle? This mission is annoying the shit out of me.

Well, unless you're getting attacked far more often than I am, you should have time to rebuild at least some stuff. The big thing to keep in mind is that the enemy will come from three directions; purple will attack via the two doors in your big surrounding wall with ground troops, and red will attack from the southwest with ships. You start off with a Carrier in this map, which is a great boon to holding the enemy off at first, not to mention Fenix and the Hyperion; Fenix in particular is a godsend for holding off their air attacks. For the most part, keeping a small ground force around, combined with your existing air units that aren't currently engaged can hold off ground attacks well enough on its own, but I always make sure I've got at least 3+ cannons on the southwest corner near my assimilator to serve as extra firepower and sponges to absorb the fire of the enemy ships while my own ships do the musclework of fighting off the enemy, with Fenix's help and any other dragoons that aren't busy.

Don't forget to get a good big number of probes on minerals; you can't *properly* saturate like you can in SC2 maps, but I generally stop at around 15 or so on minerals, maybe one or two more or less depending on the map. That will give you plenty of resources coming in.

Don't be afraid to use the Hyperion to defend yourself, but try to avoid the enemy targeting him; his Yamato cannon can really help to take out the big threats faster. Also, try and keep an eye out for incoming ground attacks with an observer or something in order to intercept things like Reavers before they arrive. Sometimes I'll just get bored while I'm building myself up and send Raynor out to Yamato a random cannon in front of the enemy base, but that's just me being bored and too easily amused with the Yamato gun.

For offense, while a ground attack CAN work if you do things big enough, I personally like to take the subtle banana-shaped hint they start you off with, and go with every 12-year-old's favorite tactic for this map: spam carriers at everything till it dies. You don't need that many to deal with the southern base, but just be sure to focus fire anything that can hit air. Just keep pumping out Carriers as fast as your mineral income and your Stargates will allow, and systematically sweep purple off the map. Then you can work on taking out red's outlying satellite bases if you want, or you can wait, take over purple's old bases and build up a bigger victory fleet, then go straight for the prize. I like to at least take out the bottom left red base... just because it's there. And he's got like... three geysers there. Jerk.

Sometimes I like to include Raynor in the Carrier victory fleet, but I tend to have trouble getting the computer to ignore the big huge massive terran target in favor of the cloud of bees, so he ends up taking a bit too much damage for comfort, considering he can't be repaired.

Hello everyone. Someone know how to contact the makers? I've seen a lot of posts about being unable to open the maps even though they put it on the right place and I am very sure that I also put it on the right directory. I also tried loading a map from each campaign manually but still I get this "Unable to Open Map" message. And whenever I try to open a map, a separate window opens containing warning messages. I've done some computer programming and same thing happens when there is an error on the code, it will not run and there will be a message containing the error on the code. So I thought maybe I should send the warning message I got to the makers of Mass Recall and maybe the makers will know what the problem is but the thing is I don't know hot to contact the makers. Here is a sample message that I got when I tried opening ZergX10.SC2Map.

I'm not sure, but I do know that many, many people have had no issues whatsoever with the maps, which means the issue is probably not with the map or the mod themselves, or else everyone would be having the issue.

Version 5.1 is now out. This is it, the culmination of three years of work and thousands of hours of work between us all.
The next major update will probably come with Legacy of the Void, but it won't be as massive as this one. We still have some things in the work, including translations, but we will be taking our time. I will also keep an eye on this thread to gather feedback and answer questions.
A YouTuber called Jayborino is currently making a commented playthrough, don't hesitate to give it a look.

Thanks to all the people who reported bugs in this thread or on the main page, that was really helpful. And of course, thank all of you for your continued support, we would never have made it so far without your encouragement!

All these are custom models that are in the mod, so either the SCMRmod is at the wrong place, or the download failed, or the game for some reason can open it. Check you have put the mod exactly as shown in the screenshots, and try downloading it again.

Sir, I tried redownloading the new version of SCMRmod. I extracted it and put it on "C:\Program Files (x86)\StarCraft II\Mods" but it still says unable to open map. The warning messages also still occur whenever I try to open a map manually.

Thanks so much for promoting me so much! I absolutely love the mod.

I made this account to thank you and also make a small announcement: I plan on finishing the Protoss campaign, then have to take about a 3 week hiatus off from recording. My wedding is coming up in just over a week and I will be out of town for that and my honeymoon! Anyway, I figured that timing my recordings so that I could start the break by wrapping up the original three campaigns would be the most appropriate, and I'll reiterate this in that video as well.

I figured I should head over here and make it known since you have been so nice and friendly by linking my playlist everywhere and commenting on my videos. It would be a disservice to your team by mysteriously dropping off the planet without an explanation or reassurance that I'm coming back! I'll be finishing all six, even if the later BW missions give me a heart attack!

Also feel free to PM me on here with suggestions, or if there's any other way I can get involved. Thanks again!

I can imagine it took quite a lot of work to make this. So thank you for that, loving everything about it.

I gotta say the SC1&BW campaigns' storylines are just more deliberate and interesting to me, i hope Metzen and co. step up for Legacy of the Void.

Hey Telenil and co. -- heads up, Ep. III Shadow Hunters briefing has param/ values instead of proper subtitles and mission objectives. I did just update to 5.1 by deleting all the old files, so I know I definitely am on the latest version upon this happening. Sorry I didn't get to this in time for 5.1 release.

Is there a torrent file for these maps and mods? I think the problem is the download. I was only able to download it properly and the other remaining downloads we're corrupted and sometimes didn't finish downloading.
