What part of 17-6 Mvp vs Nestea makes Nestea an arguable contestant vs Mvp. Not bming here, just curious.
Some people drinking the Artosis coolaid, it's clear Artosis will overhype Nestea no matter what, fact is Nestea hasn't won a tournament since his GSL Code S championship which was 3 months ago. Not hating on Nestea but Artosis drives me crazy with the Nestea whorshipping he does 24/7
you mean Clide worship? oh wait he does that too... Is there a top tier Korean that Artosis doesn't praise to high heaven.
Terrible interview and terrible title for the interview, it's like the interviewer is surprised Major considers Mvp a way better player than NesTea, which is pretty obvious.

It can seem over the top at times, but NesTea is a brilliant player, and Artosis was a Zerg. Add to that, that NesTea represents something unique; an elderly gamer that win tournaments at the highest level, and set the standard by being the first at winning 3 GSLs. MVP is young and made his mark in BW. NesTea is a symbol that anything is possible, if you put your mind to it, in a near hopeless scenario.
Artosis is just saying what I am thinking, so I think that is pretty cool.
And Oh, my, NesTea hasn't won GSL in 3 months, and only became 2nd after MVP in Blizzcon. He can't be hyped.
He has an insane win-rate vs all races. Unfortunately ZvT is his weakest matchup, and MVP his cryptonite.
No one, it's just MVP and Nestea, Leenock is getting there he won the tournament of the year at 16 years old. I understand that, Nestea being the older gamer so there's a respect factor in there but I wish Artosis would turn it down a bit on the overhyping.
I don't know if MVP had an off game, but I watched a few feet behind him play against Hero and mlg providence. And I was not impressed at all, he had really shaky decision making, his boxes were big, clunky, and slow. His expansions were god awfully slow. If MVP is the best player in the world, we are no where near the skill cap.
I'm gonna go up to my boss and tell him i'm working for him for money....and he's going to fire me... please, all you prepubescent guys who haven't worked a day in your lives, stop commenting with ridiculous over-reactions
Mine = replying to a job because it only serves to him as it is, a means to get by in life. Yours = replying to a relationship/bonding because of your personal preference.

I guess since theres three of you, my example sucks.
Point is, just because its the truth doesnt mean you should say it. I dont think anyone disagrees with that. Then its just a matter of drawing a line somewhere, because obviously the truth can also be said in most cases.
What Major said is inappropriate. In it self nothing much, but with he has shown his colors before and clearly learned nothing.
Lets be honest here, the korean hype is finally being brought down, the koreans have always been overhyped and now its starting to show it, naniwa, huk, and idra just to name a few foreigners are so good that they can beat the best koreans any day of the week. Even a few short weeks ago people said that no foreigner could compete with the top koreans but look what all has happened. Leenock is the real deal of course, ill admit that, him and DRG both i have mad respect for, and Nada, MC, people like that but MVP and NesTea are just way overhyped. They where the best but now they arent, they are still amazing players but foreigners can beat them and will continue to. Im of course biased to an extent for foreigners, but im also a protoss player and i find that protoss players other than mc are best when they are foreigners. But thats just my two cents
Lol at people doubting mvp just cause he doesn't win every tournament. Even flash doesn't win every tournament. Mvp is still the best player in the world and it will take a high level broodwar pro coming over to possibly change that.
The foreigner/korean gap is still huge and the only reason providence wasn't a clean korean sweep was due to the ridiculous advantage seeded players had. Koreans were knocking each other out left and right in the open bracket.
I don't like how naniwa got a code s spot from providence because he only won 3 bo3 to get it. Didn't really earn it in my mind, nor deserves it. Sure past mlgs were fine for code s spots cause there was group play, then championship bracket, but providence was just too stacked for seeded players. Naniwa should win a code a game first before he deserves code s. Hope he goes 0-2 in his group and loses in code a ro48, so he goes back to code b where he belongs.

I don't really consider MVP v Nestea a proper clash of the titans match, Incontrol said something vaguely like
"If I play Puma I'm going to use strategy I wouldn't normally use"
Teammate v Teamate especially on a level where they probably practice together nonstop seems more like mindgame v mindgame with the other.
Man, at the end of that interview, Major answers to the question of how is the SC2 scene in Mexico: "there is no scene there"...
He is so right it fucking pisses me off, come on Mexican gamers! We must unite and get this SC2 e-sports machine going here too. Invite your friends, family and every one you know to play this awesome game.

Leenock is the real deal but MVP is overhyped?
Do you even watch Korean tournaments? You know . . . where top foreigners are routinely invited and then get completely thrashed in the lower league.
MVP has made four GSL finals, and has three GSL championships. He recently won Arena of Legends, WCG Korea, and Blizzcon invitational?
No foreigner in the entire world has tournament achievements remotely close to that level. In fact, no foreigner who was invited to Korea to participate in Code A even got past the few two rounds. How does MVP perform at the foreigner tournaments he's invited to? He completely rapes them. Got first at the first MLG he was invited to. Got first at Blizzcon. Got fourth at the most recent MLG because he was knocked out by Koreans.
Nothing indicates that the "Korean hype" is being brought down. It's not hype.
Koreans are more organized, practice better, and spend more time on this game. Foreigners are still far away. Naniwa had a good run at MLG, a short event that tests different skill sets than league games (in league games, you have entire weeks to prepare map specific strategies) but he still can't make it in Code A.

Clearly you don't follow the Sc2 scene or maybe the GSL and Korean scene more closely, in no way is MVP "overhyped" he's been winning almost every tournament he's entered the past few months. The best foreigners are still no match for the best Koreans IMO, if MLG's seeding system wasn't so broken we would've seen that. MVP won an MLG yet had to come from the open bracket, Idra didn't even win an MLG, something is wrong there. Naniwa was seeded very far in the Championship bracket, if Nestea/MVP came to every MLG like most of the seeded players did you'd see Nestea/MVP seed #1 and #2 and MLG would've most likely been a different story. You can only play so many games before burning out and not playing on top of your game.
How has Naniwa done in the GSL? Huk made it to the round of 8 and then got destroyed by MVP. MLG isn't a tournament to base who the best is because seeding plays a big factor in your chances.
