Interesting. We shall see if Gus is actually going to pay the hotel fee AND the 12k that Amanda needs.

I'm not saying "Yes they will because they'll support IPL" The small group of people at IPL are VERY passionate about ESPORTS and reaching as much of the globe as they possibly can. I think it should go a long way to show how supportive IPL has been by looking not only at their involvement with the PPSL deal, but with the qualifiers for i44 in the UK, and I wouldn't be surprised to see more IPL involvement across the globe.

Well that certainly was an empty, self-serving non-explanation that didn't address anyone's concerns. Recommend lifetime ban from ESPORTS for this douchelord.

This makes me sad to be coming from the SEA region. Seriously sad.

Just saw an interview with David Ting, head of the IPL. He said that his staff was telling him that supporting PPSL was a bad idea. David said that they should just trust PPSL and Team AZK. He said now that things have turned out the way they did, he won't sponsor someone without proof that they are capable.

They'll probably be a lot more careful in picking partners though.

I want to know if MarineKing will still get a slot at IPL 4 for winning this event.
|
This whole scenario... is REALLY hurting e-sports.
Jeez.
|
Whatever comes out of this, at least we know that Gus won't be able to get sponsor money for events anymore.
|
lol... what a fucking joke
So you had issues with getting YYJ to Australia so instead you flew your own australian member there. Right.
|
What really bothers me about this thread is that he's trying to take responsibility without actually taking responsibility.
There is no "we" in this, Gus. There is only you. Everyone else was looking up to you to lead this event, and you failed fucking miserably. And even now, when you had a chance to just flat out say "I was the one to fuck up," you can't even grow a fucking pair and do that. You have to hide behind the PPSL so that it doesn't look like it's entirely your mess. That's how immature you truly are. Everyone knows it's your fault, everyone is pointing the finger directly at you, and yet your whole apology says "sorry that we fucked up."
Your parents should be ashamed. They raised one hell of a rotten egg.

omg this is your "apology"? you're so full of fail, i hope i will never have to hear about you again.
|
|
I'm not sure how much of this was a scam in the sense that the intent was to swindle money in some deliberate way. I do think that you had someone who wasn't vetted, who had a lot of authority that they were in no way prepared to deal with, who has probably spent most of their life, through a mixture of bs and bluster, trying to appear more than they are, and never learning how to do things the proper way. This apology is defined primarily by what it doesn't address or say.
The proper response would require a lot more contrition, but at a bare minimum it would require him stopping down from any position of authority and being absolutely transparent.
Everyone has dealt with a guy like this before.

That's only the half of it.

TargA declined his invitation to the Pacific Qualifiers due to university exams. YoonYJ is next in line for the seat. Instead of approaching YoonYJ, Gus offered mOOnGLaDe a qualifying spot and paid flights/accommodation, on the condition that he is required to join Team AZK. (GLaDe declined) If your mind hasn't started connecting the dots yet, just consider their alleged acquisition of viOlet and now NEXSickness. Also ex-WeMadeFOX players Moon and Soccer being tagged as AZK players. Yeah.

He tried to pull the same shit on my players. Zzzzzz
Oh and did i forget to mention he also Screwed over 4 players from Team Cube in the Phillipines who also qualified for the Tournament and were supposed to have flights to get there but Guess what.
Gus pilfered the money from the Flights and used it to fly his own Players to the Tournament
TL;DR Gus Bribed Players to take tournament Spots that other players had already Qualified and were rightfully supposed to be granted a plane ticket to the event.
Those Plane Tickets Guess what; Gus never ended up Getting around to that because he was too busy dodging the constant concerns that YJY had voice about whether Gus was going to send him to the Tournament or Not
Meanwhile Gus was too busy Bribing MoonGlade with a Spot on Team AZK.. To Take YJY's Spot in the Tournament.....
oh yeah and here's the Chat of YJY voicing His Concerns about Gus's Little Con-Artist Scam
YJY :"I've been hearing shit from other people inside his team and out" YJY :"That he never wanted(me) to fly in the first place" YJY :"but when i spoke to him he gave me his word" YJY :"yeah but im going to be very smart about this" YJY :"i want the sponsors to see bad publicity"
Gus AKA(WitchDoc) :"GL with that"
I'm just gonna have to say that i'm guessing those Plane Tickets he never ended up paying for actually were spent on Sending his own AZK Teammates to the Event....
Because Gus's only Excuse for not Sending the Players that were promised flights is..... sadly a Pathetic Excuse
Gus's Excuse....
YoJun was considered as the replacement to attend the event alongside David "arcMSIRossi" Rossi. However, there were a few complications associated with funding (not IPL's fault), and subsequently, I was unable to send him to the event. For that, we deeply apologize and wish YoJun the best in his future endeavors. He will be compensated for flights and accommodations in the future;
Oh yeah he forgot to mention bribing MoonGlade to take JYJ's Spot because he's a Fucking Lying Pos

He has given me my word that I will be compensated at a sum of $1600AU, which was the estimated cost of the flight by next year February 15th. The reason for this is because he will be dealing with all the other financial issues at hand which is currently happening in the Philippines as you guys probably have heard of share my disappointment. http://i.imgur.com/bueay.png?4912
Is he expecting a huge present on the 14th?
