The overwhelming elitism (which ALWAYS has been there since the dawn of time) BW Fans give out is just as disgusting as well. One thing that pisses me off more than anything from SC2 fans is the whole "hurrr BW sprites and game is just graphically ugly as fuck" and "You can't even run HD on BW!" You guys are so damn spoiled, jesus christ. Back in my days we couldn't even watch BroodWar in it's default resolution because it didnt fucking exist back then. We had to watch "Daum And BW fans need to seriously stop feeding the damn trolls. Have an open mind for fucks sake. Be happy your favorite team and or favorite player will be playing for you on TV. We have a chance for players like Flash/Bisu/JD/Stork to continue and pursue their career in SC2 which would be awesome. Afterall isn't that what we all want in the end? | ||

I think it probably has something to do with the fact that SC2 is still quite a young game when compared to BW. BW has had a lot of time to be 'figured out', so the games are typically of a higher quality than what you might find in your average SC2 game. Personally, I think once there's a greater saturation of highly skilled players in SC2, we'll find the game being figured out a lot faster than it was in BW. HoTS will likely stunt that, though. | ||

The SC2 players are taking it to an extreme against BW saying that its a dying game etc. while the BW players are taking it to an extreme in saying that the game is too dumbed down etc. What we end up with is a shit-storm/circle-jerk of opinions against opinions like we see in this thread ;/ | ||

If there is any player that will completely switch the current metagame it will necessarily be a top BW pro... not cuz he's talented or shit like that .. all these players at the top are, but because top BW pros know how to train to win. | ||

There are some good SC2 games but the average entertainment is at a lower level than BW. We can only hope that if all the proteam start playing SC2 the game will be better to watch. But the fundamental problem in S2, like to many drone bringing back to little mineral, so harassment don't make that much sense, the big army vs. big army without the same entertainment in the early game, etc.wWill still be there and SC2 will be less exciting to watch. I really hope this will turn out great but I will miss broadwar everyday | ||

But at the same time sc2 is that game that I can play and take part in even though i'm not that good, that's reachable to me (via mlg, blizzcon). and to imagine them both not together is terrifying. its not the same watching bw via the only way possible (nanashin/GTR streams in the middle of the night <3) as it is watching sc2 live. i think i'll keep watching regardless though. long live ESPORTS?:D | ||

Got it, played 500 games. Never touched it again. How could I ? Have been playing BW for such a long time. SC2 would never be close to that perfection. Barely watched any SC2. Still watch some BW and play occationally. No offense to anyone but SC2 is Activision making money on eSports: the formula: the game. Play what you want but if you think SC2 is real Starcraft, think again. Peace out! | ||
