Sooo....if we want to be able to move out on the map and fight cloaked units or even think about taking a third we have to get to lair + build whatever tech building the viper requires + get the viper out + use the one time ability on a random unit?

...

Zerg doesnt get contained enough as it is?

I want to see Lurkers instead of the Swarm Host and Goliaths instead of the Warhound. And leave Carriers in the game, just make them viable, you can cut that stupid replicant out and make the Oracle actually decent instead of just annoying.

Lots of new stuff looks really cool. How much of it will make it out of beta? I can already see a few things that will need to be removed for balance imo. DT openings will stop zerg from getting a 3rd base before lair now. Ultra burrow charge could be really good vs siege lines.

Protoss gained a town portal, but besides that got worse.

Not sure what 1 thor is going to do... Remove mothership, but make thor a hero unit? Does Terran really need more aoe?

As a Protoss player HOTS make me TT

I really don't think abduct on viper is a good idea. It feels to dawn of war-y and honestly will just fuck over pvz even more as now all our important dps units will either be neural'd or abducted.

Im feeling like protoss is getting a bit of the shaft

Replicator seems like it has potential.. both good and bad. could help if we get a tank. but if we lose 200/200 for nothing, tha twill suck a lot

zerg and terran feel better. protoss feels different

will reserve further judgement until later

I just feel like stalkers are screwed (between marauders and mechrauders and dark swarm/fungal)

Okay. Tier 1 is a bad idea, duh. Tier 3 is still a bad idea. Example: Terran on 4-5 bases spread out across the map, trying to push the zerg. Zerg takes one ling, makes it into a bling, burrows and then just sneaks around to an expansion and blow up the scvs. What I'm trying to say is that the terran will be stretched way to thin in defending all his bases. Waste of money to put up turrets everywhere. 150 for a turret is no joke.. Positioning it will be a bitch to make sure it can cover the entire mineral line.

Okay, now lets say youve successful managed to establish detection around your new expo. Now how the fuck are you supposed to kill the bings? Okay, hold back a couple marines to deal with the blings (well, now your main army is weaker......... -_-) or set up a planetary. Planatary = less orbitals = less scans = better for zerg as now pretty much everything can burrow and move around. Fuck.


This is a nice, but totally bunk description of how that would work, simply because there are already existing means of accomplishing the same task that are no less threatening to the terran player: burrow roaches and burrow infestors, both of which are tier 2.

Hmm. The more I think about these units, the more I think they should just buff gateway units, give gateways inverse cooldown w/ warpgates, and replace the colossus. Anyone?
