I'm so glad I'm a Protoss player. I'll take the Tempest over Carrier any day... I wish the video showed the Tempest using it's ground attack.

Well, sorry for the "troll", but i am just getting sick of a certain posting patter in this thread:

1. Make random false statement
2. Follow it up with a racial bias

Also i dont think you need to watch that movie in slow motion several times. Its pretty obvious that the replicants are not at melee range. And yeah, there was probably an observer nearby. But so what, its not like protoss never uses observers to get vision on high ground. And you could do the exact same thing on low ground without an observer but with *insert random protoss unit* giving vision. So i think the replicant could be a very strong unit. Doesnt have to be though, depends on its cost etc.


I never said anything about melee range, I thought of the fact that a siege tank actually can shoot further than it's own LoS, and I didn't really expect the replicant to have an insane LoS. That's what I'm wondering, at the moment - in the video there's only LoS on the whole screen, I didn't see an observer either, so I wonder exactly how big it's LoS is, if you can copy anything you can see even if the replicant is miles away, etc.

It would probably be easier to make a bunch of replicants, a robo and a stargate, and make 1 immo and 1 void ray. Have the replicants replicate either of the two, then just attack with a mass of them and not allow opponent to react

Yeah, it looks like its going to give the Protoss some great mobility. But it means that if the Protoss player want to use it in that fashion then they are not going to be using many if ANY chronoboosts on unit/research production. Not only that, but say you see an army recalled on top of your mutalisks, what do you do? Fly away. The same as if you would when you encounter blink stalkers. Then what? That nexus has lost 75/100 energy and they can't recall to that base again for ages... I don't think it negates muta harrass, just changes the nature of it somewhat.
