I wouldn't really worry about it. So many people make such a big deal about which country things like this happen in, but to be honest it's really just chance for the most part. It could happen in almost any country and it just happened to be France this time, I don't really think it should be blamed at all on the country. Nah I think its more a French problem. If you read the thread there are only stories about this from ppl visiting france. Its really sad Yep as soon as I read that, I felt like "Well man, welcome to France!!". The air is real bad right now. I would never steal anything from anyone, but I understand some of those kis (some only). Feel like the verge of destruction in some neighbourhood.

I dont know about other european cities, but having been to Germany and France, I was surprised at the rudeness of people (especially Taxi Drivers) in Paris when compared to the really friendly and nice people in Germany. I took a taxi from the hotel to eiffel tower, and I had like one backpack with me. The taxi driver forced me to load the backpack into the boot, and I put it in, blissfully unaware that they charge extra for the putting stuff in the boot. Finally when he gives me the bill, I was totally pissed off, but had no option but to comply and give him the extra money. And I also suspect that he took a roundabout route to get to the place since the distance indicated on map and the distance that he actually drove were quiet a bit different.

Taxi suck ass in paris, but most of them are not the average French...

Every time someone steals MC's minerals with a scout from now on, I'm going to picture him getting up out of his booth, running over to them, and demanding his minerals back.

An intriguing piece of fiction from MC, shamelessly promoting his image.

Its really sad Nope, its the same all over Europe, i's just the fact that Paris is the most visited city in the world(and is more populated). It's actually the same people in every european capital that does that. They're like a mafia sort of.

Someone's a little bitter.

Very nice MC. BossToss fighting, literally.

This Winter, Gerard Butler stars in Min Chul: Chrono Boost.

So I thought of Taken immediately, the part where Liam Neeson chased the guy off an overpass.

The Last Bonjwa starring Tom Cruise

Glad he got his stuff back but that kind of brazen action in a foreign country could lead to MC getting seriously hurt by a harder criminal if it hadn't been a pickpocketing noob.
|
Saying pickpocketing is only a French thing is stupid.
Go to Rome or Naples and tell me that. Actually, they don't pick your pocket in Naples. They just ride by on scooters and steal your shit. Seriously.
And those are the nice ones.
Edit: Glad MC got his stuff back, without violence. Going to jail in a foreign country is horrible (not that I've been in jail).

Typical Paris these years. There are recorded messages reminding you to check for your stuff every 2 minutes in all public places. But those guys, they wait for you at the airport by the train ticket machines before you even realise you are in another country.
He was lucky to recover his wallet; it has usualy passed two or three different hands before you realise. Truly, that guy was a n00b, fortunately for MC.

I hated Paris. Went in May. Overpriced shitty, dirty, ghetto crap of a city.

No one is saying pickpocketing is only in france, in fact people would be very ignorant to think such a thing. But for those who visited france (more specifically paris) would know that pickpockets are much more prominent there then many other European countries (well, greece being an exception).

MC showing superior awareness and micro vs a bronze pocket thief :D

It's actually the same people in every european capital that does that. They're like a mafia sort of. By same people I assume you mean non-natives (eastern europeans, africans, gypsies, etc...). Well I agree with that part, but in my limited experience (I don't live in europe although I did live there previously for one year) the difference between the metros in france and the other ones I went through was that the police did not give a shit and were not actively sweeping the place and kicking out the suspicious people. There were a lot more shady characters and a lot less police presence in the french metros. In Rome I even saw the Carabinieri drag a gypsy girl out by her hair, you can say there is some degree of racism since they tend to target minorities but they keep the metros mostly safe from thieves these days (past 5 years).
