The one thing we can go on though, is that this looks very similar to a phoenix. Therefore I think that either they are removing the phoenix, or this new unit transforms from the phoenix. Neither option is very appealing. What I hope it is, is a flying unit that is fast and can attack any unit (air or ground) with a very high cooldown single target shot that does about 50 damage. Now the special part will be that it charges up this attack the longer it is out of battle, maybe up to five charges (1 every 8 seconds?). When it fires after being charged, the shot hits the first unit and arcs to a nearby unit, and then arcs again from the second unit to a third (one for each charge). Each arc deals the same 50 damage. This would make it a great hit and run (run far away) harass unit. Every time you fly in you get about 5 worker kills, and then you escape to recharge. This requires a great deal of strategy, such as not wasting your charge on a lone scouting marine (you have to run from it and avoid letting this unit attack). And it encourages the opponent to split their units as well. Also if you are only harassing, you will not have enough charges to defend if the opponent comes knocking on your door. But it can be great for defense if you sit back with it. Also this is not the same as a mutalisk for example, since it does not do well in base trades, due to its low uncharged DPS. It basically accomplishes two things for toss, gives defense and harass. I hope the unit ends up being something like this. | ||
