Not really great anti-air though, can't stand up to much except mutas in low numbers (not gonna happen), dropships (marines be there), other phoenixes (don't count, every unit will do exactly the same against itself), and warp prisms (current state of PvP makes this not worth it in most standard games) and BL's assuming player is dumb and has no infestors/corrupters.
The Phoenix is actually great anti-air in decent numbers, and when combined with an army of ground or other air units. You would be surprised how quickly they take down vikings and how much damage they absorb from vikings and corruptors. They are relatively cheap and very quick to rebuild, so having them take hits from carriers, void rays or colossi is invaluable. Phoenix are very strong. They problem is that the stargate is a dead end, so it isn't used or explored enough. That and marines are stupidly strong.

I hope there is something else as well, this sure isn't doing anything for our early game problems. Looks cool though.

Whats the sixth one yo? And no, observer isnt a valid answer ofc. Yay finally the flying sentry with air-forcefields

You are all silly. That thing is obiusly a necklase for colossi, that you can buy from the blizzard store for $4.99.

Zerg has five INCLUDING overload and overseer.

I must admit I am a bit disappointed since it's another air unit. But blizzard said they may remove units so I don't know, may be removing mothership and puting vortex or recall in this unit.

If it's an exact replica of the corsair, i will be one happy protoss
|
do the hexagons have something to do with warp ins?
|
This kind of looks like the Quake logo. Maybe it's piloted by rapha and shoots rockets.
|
Damn it!
Alright protoss, here's the deal. You give us your scourge, and we will give you our turtle balista. We need the scourge more to deal with carrier builds, you can use the turtle balista to kill the MM ball. Oh, and ghosts are allergic to turtles.

If it is a stargate unit, (which it totally looks like) I think that it will be a siege unit, like what the Guardian in BW was.

Completely unrelated to the thread, but I'll be happy as all hell if the canon name is "Turtle Balista."

I wonder if it functions somewhat like a photon cannon/siege tank... in mobile mode it has no attack but it can go into 'channeling' mode for a few seconds, become immobile, then has a fairly strong attack similar to a photon cannon. It'd help give protoss a way to control space and to harass.

Looks like a reverse arbiter, with slightly more "fabulous" rounded wings.
|
Flying reaper? :D (you can see scrab coming from mouth)
|
idk it looks like its going to attempt to solve all the late game collosus troubles, but then again if its a spellcaster that means more micro, but maybe more available stargate play.
|
It does look like a stargate unit but I can't help thinking it kinda resembles those fire prisms of Eldar in the W40K universe. Maybe its a new seige unit to replace the collossi?

I can see it, admittedly.
