I'm going to go out on a limb and say it comes out of the Robotics Facility and is an air support spellcaster.

So, assuming these three unveiled units balance one another out...

Zerg: anti-air ground tank (I'm going to say it's tier 1; zerg tier 2 is completely stuffed and we need a tier 1 anti-air)
Terran: armored mech (probably some updated version of the goliath)
Protoss: It does look awfully like BW Corsair...so if they're adding that in I think that just reinforces my Zerg argument.

I certainly hope it's a replacement to the Phoenix or a specialized Harass unit. Blizzard has stated several times that Protoss lacks a dedicated harass unit and I hope this is their answer.

Either way, I can't see them removing the carrier all-together, but it'll probably be made over it anyways.

you don't make carriers against terran, and zerg can neural them, not to mention the horrendous build time + interceptors, and upgrade research.

I want a harass unit for sure, but I definitely don't want the phoenix to be the unit that gets scrapped. I mean, if your gonna take out a unit take out a stupid useless one like the Carrier or take a really boring one like the colossus, why the hell would you replace the fastest coolest unit that protoss has, its only harassment unit and a unit that requires skill?

now, if this is a dedicated air to air unit that has super strong spike damage, where i can graviton beam a unit and one shot it with this bad boy, well, that would just be swell
