I'll continue to input games as I play them, but this seemingly confirms my suspicion that I tend to inject and spend my larva better than average for my league (at least from the sample size the OP used). These two things are the only aspects of my play I've put deliberate practice into, and I've only been doing so for the last week because of Day9's recent Newbie Tuesday. In BW I used to practice spending all my money against a computer for hours at a time so that I could beat my friends on LAN, and that practice likely has residual effects as well. My winrate among those games is even, and the majority of my losses since I've started paying attention to my progress are from not knowing when an attack is coming, and how to engage their army in the most effective way possible. Most of my wins are around the 15-18 minute mark, and I just 1a my much larger army into theirs. I'm sure once I get some more experience I'll make the jump to Masters. I guess what I'm saying is, this shows that lately I'm ok at spending what I've got. Now I just need to learn when to spend it on what, and how to control it. This sort of feedback is enormously useful.

In by far the most cases in bronze-platinum or even diamond, macro is what is holding you back. An easy way to have a good SQ in lower leagues is to build too many production structures to keep the money low. This affects the SQ value a lot, and you shouldn't probably make conclusions like "My macro is in master level, therefore I'm a masters level player". SQ is a good estimate, but having these crucial macro mistakes is really bad and indeed is a big reason in what is holding you back.

So far my very quick impression is that SQ is higher when losing (people are pushed to the wall and macro like there's no tomorrow), whereas when winning people may tend to afford to be less efficient with their resource spending, on average. Moreover, because I've seen it happen in progaming, even to Koreans, I suppose if true this would scale up to all levels of play. I would assume this would be true. I know personally I macro a lot less hard when I know im ahead and about to win. Especially when im in a deathpush, it's like, "well I could make 2 tanks 10 marines and a medivac, but im blowing up his spawning pool and everything so...." Macro is a lot more than just SQ - spending the income. A big part of macro is also maximizing the income. Having an even saturation, no idle workers, constant worker production without supply blocks and having a good expansion control are a big part of macro. This is true but you also have to factor in the "resource collection rate" I'm sure it's easy for a bronze leaguer who has 10 workers and 10 barracks to keep his money low, but his income will be like 500 or so for the whole game, so i'm sure there would be an easy way to factor in the Income rate vs time in order to get a more accurate measure that would factor in stuff like production buildings.
