PTR can test bugs, maps, editor functions... it's really not limited to balance | ||

Fungal was changed to a projectile that didn't hit air but still did more damage (like it does now). I don't think that change lasted for more than a day or two because the community outrage was so strong, so they changed it to what it is now instead. I commend Blizzard for actually having a PTR, but they definitely don't spend too much time cheking the results of the changes they make. That being said, the players who actually play on the PTR are rarely the kind of people who actually should be testing the new changes (e.g. top-level players), and are more likely a small group of players spread out among different leagues, so I don't think they can get accurate results from the PTR anyway. | ||

Just because that's how it is since a month now doesn't mean anything. The games was pretty much balanced (again: everybody will always whine, I also would change some stuff). At least, at no point before it was better balanced. The game changes, new strats come up, players will adapt, it just needs some time. And I say it again, Blizzard usually thinks like that. They wait what happens before they perform major changes. If something like a patch will come out, it will only contain minor (mabye only bug or editor) fixes. | ||
