It would become very very hard to hold oracles if you went 1-1-1 in TvP. widow mine play vs banshees is also interesting and good, even if it's not the hugest deal I think this was sarcasm. Time Warp really sucks imo, I would like to see it nerfed or better removed and replaced with anything else. It further makes comebacks vs P impossible, just as FF nd it does not really do the job for protoss comebacks as well. I am really sick of watching armies getting forcefielded then timewarped and dieing without dealing any damage to the protoss (what it is used for in many situations). Other than that the only legit use of timewarp is when retreating after an attack or attempt imo. Just got an idea how to change timewarp: Protoss should only be able to use it on certain own units (maybe spellcasters?) and the radius could be increased a little then. This way protoss could still use it defensively but not attack, FF, timewarp and then auto win.
Wow, i think i have to agree with LSN for once. :D

I don't even think the spell should be replaced ; the ability to recall and, to a lesser extent, forcefields, are already excellent to allow a safe retreat, and time warp only strengthen this capacity in the Protoss race while making some all-ins probably too hard to deal with. A mothership core with overcharge and recall is already extremely valuable. Therefore I don't understand why the removal of this spell has never been considered by Blizzard.

Ye 30 seconds is way too long. This should be reduced by half in any way (they should have done this long time ago). Another interesting approach is to make it affect own units too. This way it is not that one sided and protosses could mess it up. Time-warp should not support the deathball play. Blizzard is so bad at these things.

I've always wondered why it didn't affect the caster's unit. It ould still be an useful skill for the P (because of storm, colossus) but if missplaced punish the P, like FF actually.

Haven't watched or played SC2 in forever, Blizzard hasn't announced anything which seems like it would make the less random and more skill based.

I haven't watched the game in some time so i ask here.
Has mech TvP been used any at the pro level?

Has mech TvP been used any at the pro level? Maru played mech in his ace match vs herO in SPL and said, "I think mech is fine against Protoss" in an interview.
ForGG played it against First yesterday in DH but he played rather... poorly. Not a great example.

Maru tried in PL, lost to Tempest but it was close. But it's because protoss are not used to, if mech becomes popular in TvP, better response by protoss would destroy it.

Has mech TvP been used any at the pro level? Yeah. Maru got shredded playing against some Protoss in Proleauge with it once Tempest were out.
But he made it to 4bases + ghosts and even got offensive for a moment after 20+mins.

that is amazingly balanced, although $o$ is probably single handedly responsible for the recent P wellbeing.

And Fruitdealer was singlehandedly responsible for Zerg winning anything in 2010 ;-)
At the end of the day it's a nice stat, but given the huge differences in pricemoney between tournaments it is hardly a question of balance unless you'd do hardcore in depth mathematical analysis. (Dont want to encourage anyone from posting any numbers. They make me happier than mining out Alterzim against SHs can ever do)

It does show that it doesn't matter what race you place, with enough persistence you'll make the same amount either or.

Jaedong looked Platinum League that game.

This is a very silly thing to say. The only way to look like a Platinum is to play against a Platinum in the first place.

Effort pretty easily defends it
Maybe zergs will stop droning straight to 70 and think about defense for once

The only way to look like a Platinum is to play against a Platinum in the first place. disagree. jaedong got completely wrecked on a level you don't typically expect to see a professional player get wrecked by something he sees coming. it's a circumstance of the new meta for zerg right now, everyone is trying to figure out how to defend it without sacrificing too much economy. so i think he definitely looked like a ladder nobody in that particular game from a viewer's perspective
however, i don't think top zergs looking shitty reflects anything about the balance of the build; it's just something that hasn't been figured out. remember after the speed buff when everyone was saying oracle play in pvt is absolutely gamebreaking and that it's impossible to play the matchup without losing 10+ scvs? (sure, there are still kinda issues with the oracle arguably, but you can't deny the overreaction at the time)

Previously zerg could drone to 80 drones farely safely and be slighty ahead. When going safety roaches, you end up being behind in eco which you cant recover with engages. Theres a reason why all zergs are going all ins in tournaments.
