Considering the foreign scene is much larger than korea in regards to SC2 I feel we owe them nothing at all and they should jump at a chance to give themselves a stronger foot hold in the foreign scene.

Of course i don't think many of them really cared about NASL anyway, given the lag and time of day. It sounded from the few comments i've heard from coaches and players that participating was a pain in the arse. So my assumption is that they've all got together and tried to throw their weight around to get more out of the deal. I'm kinda disappointed in NASL for bending over, but at the same time respect their eagerness. I'm actually glad they didn't accept the revised offers in the end, because i'd hate to see such unprofessional, whiny dealings to have actually had an effect. As for hurting quality of NASL, In the end i never took the Korean matches seriously because of the lag factor, so for me this wont actually end up hurting the weekly league one bit. Finals, sure but I pray NASL aren't doing a finals qualifier thing again like last time. I hated that so fucking much. If you don't participate in the season you shouldn't be able to get into the finals. If this is going to be the 'foreigner only' tournament, then i'm kinda glad there's one. The Koreans themselves might have given Catz his wish. All in all i'm fine this, and disappointed in the Koreans attitude. GL HF NASL Season 2!

Can anybody really say they enjoyed championship sunday with a bunch of koreans playing from mlg anaheim more than they did back in dallas when naniwa made his spectacular run? Absolutely not. Speak for yourself. Columbus and Anaheim were way more exciting because of the koreans. I wasn't excited when naniwa won Dallas and it was a pretty ho hum event especially with all the tech problems.

Could just be a vocal minority but they sure do believe their proverbial crap don't stink. See, this is what I don't get. This was my reaction on reading the OP too, but it's the exact opposite of what the game at large needs to see. Nationalism over a video game is pretty silly. I'll still watch and appreciate the NASL because it's not in me to put koreans on a pedestal just for being korean. It's too bad they won't be playing, but it isn't the end of the world (and the NASL will do fine once people grow up and watch games with slightly less good players in them).

Your talking about size vs quality? Can't stand the people in this thread that are OK with inferior play at international events. Why so much Korean hate? I want to watch the best! The koreans know they are the best so why not ask for special treatment? Its not like they don't have plenty of other venues open to them. Bottom line is they don't need the NASL, the NASL (IMO) needs them to be taken seriously as a league.... *edit: it will stay this way till the rest of the world steps their games up a notch.....

You think antagonizing the Koreans will increase your viewers, NASL? Sorry, either way I've lost complete interest in the NASL now, no way am i willing to pay for a season pass now. how is all this NASL's fault anyway?

People love to jump to conclusions and put the blame on one party(Just look at the TSL drama between the coach and its players). It is most likely both parties involved have valid reasons not to continue. Reasons might be valid, but unless NASL is straight-up lying behaviour of Korean teams was pretty low.

So what's your point? ![]() That the Korean teams shouldn't expect special treatment that isn't given to foreign teams as well. They should be treated equally. And that Korean teams need to operate better so they can afford these trips. With $1000 in travel expenses covered by NASL, that leaves them with about $500-$700 to come up with. Thats not that much money. Especially when their player is going to win $1,000 minimum.

I worry that this will hurt the worldwide scene somehow, I hope that we can get the rest of the story here and that something can be worked out, I would hate to see koreans not coming to foreign events or foreign events not inviting koreans because of something like this :/
