in that regard i was really surprised that SO many koreans signed up for s2. even tho they won't come now, i dont think it has to be a bad thing. as long as top koreans still come, it's all good. 5-6 top dogs and it's all good ![]() edit: nasl should perhaps use that 100,000$ in a way that less money goes to #1 and more money to everyone that gets to lan finals

They are not going to travel across the world only to play for 30 minutes. I think this was a huge factor in why they chose not to participate. This ^ For 2-3 months, the Koreans had to wake up at ungodly hours every week, play with lag disadvantage, then players like Boxer had to travel half way across the globe... all this to play two freakin games? And you're telling them that their full travel cost wont be covered? No wonder players like Boxer is withdrew...

Our only issue is the fact that they all: a) knew the contents of the contract, b) deliberately signed up players to qualify for the league, c) made demands, and d) waited until we already started the season to tell us that our offers to them were not acceptable. I'm really beginning to question how these Korean teams are managed when it comes to money. It seems very amateurish.

Prob won't watch NASL unless a friend pays for it.......

This is probably due to bigwigs at SC2Con and the GSL-MLG partnership feeling threatened from the NASL and its deep pockets for prize money. Question for NASL, will ZeNeX or NShoseo be able to participate? I feel as if both of those teams have more talented players then any of the teams listed here anyway....

Ridiculous. MLG lasts for 3 days, nasl lasts for 2 months. And MLG is going to raise the prizepool soon anyways.

I'm happy to see the NASL actually offering to work with them to make it more affordable, but in all honesty, it really doesn't seem to be either sides fault.

With the very late announcement, it does seem like they were looking to hurt NASL in this case.. or perhaps get a cash bonus to the SC2con officials, and not just the players.

This issue is much deeper than just money I think.

Our contract states that all prizes will be paid within 60 days of the end of Season 1. We are still within that time frame, and will be paying all prizes within that period! Artosis, HuK (who paid Boxer's deposit for S1), WeMadeFox, etc could all attest to the fact that we have and will pay our deposits back. That's not what I'm asking. I'm asking: do Korean teams simply not have the cash to pay their new security deposits? Because considering the $2000 you're offering for travel costs, it seems like that is the true hang up to their participation. In that case I believe an exception should be made for the Koreans and their security deposits, since they had an exemplary record of playing all games on time in Season 1.
