I await the other shoe to drop in which SC2Con releases their side of the story. At which point NASL.tv will probably be vilified as typical internet denizens are wanton to do. Personally, I'm actually kind of happy about this. I already watch GOM/GSL, MLG, Dreamhack, icCup tournaments. I like a bit of variety in the players I watch so not having another league for Koreans to roflstomp foreigners is a nice change.

My own opinion of foreigner world vs. Korean world aside, I find it hilarious that at various points of the discussion (not most of it of course), it becomes a topic of white and western specifically which describes the foreigner world instead of including other eastern nations and non-white guys.

I mean no offense to Artosis or Catz or qxc but I highly doubt they would've made it to NASL season 1 if they had to perform well in/won a tournament for their spot. QXC all-killing in GSTL makes me feel like he deserves it ![]() But yes, I hope they throw a small tournament or something so the top X players gets the available spots..

We have already begun paying back all security deposits of players who are no longer in Season 2. Our contract states that all prizes will be paid within 60 days of the end of Season 1. We are still within that time frame, and will be paying all prizes within that period! Artosis, HuK (who paid Boxer's deposit for S1), WeMadeFox, etc could all attest to the fact that we have and will pay our deposits back.

How dose that deserve a warning? There is nothing racist about that post lol. He worded it a little abrasively but that's about it. On the other hand I have seen 30+ posts mindlessly hating on the NASL saying complete bullshit and should be banned.

The entire $2,000 covers both the minimal ro16 prize and travel stipend. If Korean players were knocked out that early and were part of teams with barely any sponsorship, they are literally gaining little money from the event. In my opinion with the time commitment involved, the way NASL Grand Finals were run, and Boxer not returning next season says a lot that the marginal gains weren't worth it. Also I would like to know considering roundtrip to Korea and back is 1200 bucks, how much were the the Hotel and food costs given that the Korea players arrived a few days early? It would have added more to expenses considerably.
