I am still going to support NASL because they tried their hardest to get what the fans wanted clearly in this thread. Paying for travel for players is almost unheard of in competitions that aren't super large. Props to NASL for actually trying. Ohwell, LIQUIDHERO FIGHTING!

Assuming you bomb out in a single elimination bracket in the first round, they just put in 9+ worth of Bo3s at uncomfortable times and a trip to US pretty much nothing. Also player prizemoney does not go towards teams, so teams will still be paying out of pocket for travel/accomodation still. I don't think it's unreasonable to increase to supply travel/accomodation for all players when they've provided games for NASL for the whole league portion of the system. its once a week, dont make it sound like they have to wake up at 4am everyday of the week. and having to work for be at the finals? damn, that's so unfair, what a cruel world

With that money you could just watch GSL if you wanted to watch Koreans so badly and had money to spend. It's just unfortunate. The same barriers that block non-Koreans from entering GSL are the same for Koreans entering foreign tournaments. People just never take into account the logistics before complaining. Holding an international event is harder than it looks.

Our only issue is the fact that they all: a) knew the contents of the contract, b) deliberately signed up players to qualify for the league, c) made demands, and d) waited until we already started the season to tell us that our offers to them were not acceptable. I have been pretty critical of NASL, but these are all reasonable expectations. It is unfortunate what happened with the Korean teams but I look forward to a statement from SC2Con :/
