They were really downplaying his skill level in the beginning episodes to make the show interesting and he was a freakin BW progamer after all. Yeah this, + imagine if he plays around at least 20 to 30 games per day. Shouldn't be any problems.

really? they were awesome this episode I thought, until the last like 30 secs. No long conversations with 2 word explanations, I was impressed.

What is this 5 days from plat to masters ? He is playing for 4 weeks now.. If you buy a new account and matched against 4 silver 1 plat opp and win all of your matches you will be plat. Then if u are good and go on winning 10 more matches u would probably be masters. So you have become plat to masters in (let's assume 1 game is 12 min long, as Jinro said ) 120 minutes.. wow:p

Maybe in NA, but Korean masters is really hard to get to.

i don't get why people are so surprised about him getting masters in such a short time. don't know how it is nowadays but i remember getting from platinum to diamond in like no time back when i started (i don't play anymore)
even if it is harder on the korean server, it was surprising enough that yellow wasn't atleast platinum right away, he probably didn't watch it ever so that might be one of the reasons. he's a talented RTS player so it was to be expected.

Even going from silver to masters doesn't take long, as in less than a day for a good player, if you are decent and your MMR isn't awful. Not like Korean masters is that tough to get into. Watching Sase, even some current korean GM players are mediocre by progamer standards

Stop tripping after all it was a successful sc1 progamer WITH COACHES. and after looking at their plat players they look like out diamond players (obviously this is a understatement since i only watch one lol but still) i bet the differences in skill between us and them are in master only.)

Yeah korean masters is especially to hard to get as a zerg. Playing in Korea server most of masters and even diamond players has various builds that is perfected and they are so active denying scout. Since zerg is all about scouting and adapting, it's harder than eu and na.. At least for me..I easily got 850 pt in masters in EU, but in korea it's real hard..Cheesing, timing pushes, incredible macro builds, so hard to deal with 'em all.

YellOw throws down 20-30 games per day, easily. I think you forget the stamina on these decorated progamers and their willingness to just put in games like a boss.

Does yellow play tomorrow or on day 2 when he's trying to qualify?

Actually I think in Korea the Diamond leaguers and the high Plat leaguers pretty much have astounding macro already. Not progamer-level, definitely, but a cut above NA/SEA/EU's Diamond, probably at EU's low masters' macro.
I should think Korea's Master Leaguers have understanding and lots of mechanical fine-tuning to hit Masters as a basic requirement.
Yellow obviously has that, and they probably don't show him asking for help but he's probably getting lots of it from other pro players (he's popular as hell in KOR).

Nah man, you just need to mass game to reach higher ranks, I imagine the only way Yellow got to Masters was 30 games a day for those 5 days straight.
30 games at least is huge for people like us, don't think we've ever seen that amount in a single day before.

Its hard to get there with no help but lets just state the facts 1) ITS YELLOW....... 2) HE HAS COACHES 3) If he macros right he still better than most (non progamers in korea) 4) He knows builds (and with his technical skills getting to master isnt the problem the problem has been how is he going to play against people with potential like the b teamers in the qualifiers.
I just want people to realize not everyone can go from plat to masters (in korea in five days WELL UNLESS YOU WERE ONE OF THE BEST ZERGS IN BW ) lol

Lame yes, but its like spoiling the match before we get to see it.... lol so i can see them doing these but once again its just a thought on keeping the suspense for there show.

You know he is on the right track when he was on three bases vs a 1 base protoss and had to be told to stop making only drones .

Would've liked to see YellOw's reaction on getting to masters, he wrote something but it didn't get translated. But overall much better than last show.

Yeah i know the difference between na/eu/and kr i have an account for all 3 (tw for kr) but all im saying is that if you put a normal diamond player vs yellow whos favored??? in your eyes not blizzards system? so if he massed games for those 5 days 30 games a day thats 150 games easly able to go from plat to masters with a couple of win streaks

I would be exctied to see how he does in code A. Yellow FIGHTING!!!
