Maybe you went to MLG and you got to have a cool photo with a smiling Day9 or you ran into Goody walking very slowly in a determined mechanical fashion down the street or perhaps you even made some trolling joke towards WhiteRa about special tactics only to have him smile and say something really nice to you, if any of these or similar situations have happened then this is the thread for you!
This will be a thread to share your experiences with meeting the pros or special names of the SC2 (or even BW) community. Perhaps you have a cool photo to show or you have an opinion of a player after you met them or maybe you just want to tell your story, these are all welcome here.
I made this thread because tonight I was a little starstruck (and of course I searched on TL for a similar thread but I couldn't find one so why not make it, I'm sure there are plenty of people that have been in the same situation as me and would like to share it).
I went out here in Mannheim, Germany to a restaurant in Paradeplatz where they have a buffet and after stuffing my face I got up to pay my bill and I noticed a surprisingly tall blond guy (I know what you're thinking, all Germans look like that, it's not the case but whatever). to who I think I said far too loud "Hasuobs?". The girl that he was with (what a pimp) gave a giggle like this happens all the time and he said Hey and shook my hand which I didn't expect but was happy about. What followed was something reminiscent of an 8 year old kid meeting someone like Rafael Nadal or Sebastian Vettel. I introduced myself as Pete (why on earth would that be important?!) and he said something in German to which I answered "I'm sorry I don't speak much German, I'm from Australia". He gave surprised look like he was baffled there was an Australian who recognised him in Germany and said "Oh!" and although he can speak english I think he didn't know what else to say, neither did I, my mind had frozen with the experience of meeting my first SC2 progamer, I started to head towards the counter and him towards the tables and I just said "Have a nice night!". What an exciting story! Well... it was exciting for me anyway.
He seemed like a really nice guy and my final thought was "fuck, I left my camera at home, but I met Hasuobs, cool!"
Edit: I didn't even realise that I was making my first SC2 thread on my 200th post, yay, all the more important!
Back in March we had a little tourney here in Arizona and EGIdrA and SirScoots (along with Gatored, SKU, and a few others) were all there. Before I had met idra irl I had only known him through the BM games that HD and Husky casted of him. After meeting him he really is a nice guy and I got to play a match vs him just so I could say I played vs IdrA. He just played normally while I just fooled around (ended up crushing me lol).
2 months later I went to another one we had here and I got to meet Machine and Inka.
At MLG DC I wanted a picture of IdrA, so I grabbed him and got a photo -- just of him, though, not with me. I wanted to use it for a local news blog I was going to write. So, it was kind of a weird request, and then later, on the Live on Three MLG edition, he admitted that he wondered if I'd just taken a picture of his crotch.
So my esports claim to fame is taking a picture of IdrA's crotch (even though I didn't.)
Man that super awesome :D:D I've never meet anyone in real life. I've been in contact with a fair few progamers online, not as cool as your story, but all I can say is I love talking to HuK, and Destiny was always a complete ass to me
I donated Huk $5 in beta when he was on VT for his new pc/cat food lol. I joked about how he should pay me back with interest after he won Dreamhack and HSC3 when he came on kawaiirice's stream. He actually asked for my paypal saying he always pays his debts, and I dodged lol. Went to MLG Anaheim and my friend told him that I was here. He said HuK said, "tell that bitch to get over here" lol Waiting in line for Boxer (too busy practicing T_T), HuK came over and did a small signing and he pulls out a gigantic wad of cash like a boss and gave me $20 and signed the bill lol
I also met Kiwikaki and FnaticMSI.Rain in the restroom there. I wish they had urinals instead of stalls.
I'm met vVvTitan and Murder in the CS pub i always go to
At NASL, I was in the line waiting to meet Day[9], and I was telling my friends how I didn't get Artosis' autograph because he had to leave every time I was the next person in line. It happened to me 3 times already. Turns out, Day[9] overheard my conversation and proceeded to say, "Yeah, Dan's a dick!" Everyone started laughing. Then when it was my turn to meet Day[9], he said, "Hey I'm not Artosis, so let's hang out." It was the best experience ever.

I once played in a tournament agains sheth and incontrol. incontrol cannon rushed me. Sheth was very manner and played a fun game. But destroyed me completely.
I have spoken to 2 TSL players on skype. That was fun. I regularly speak with aLive. I've spoken with Killer twice.
I've had various conversations with Koreans pros on bnet. Like.
YoDa Happy asd Sickness Bomber I'll stop there and just say a lot. lol
Also I got coaching from Rainbow once. It was so much fun.
Lining up in the bathroom for a urinal, I was wondering how I would get a chance to meet my favorite players. Right then, HuK walked in and lined up behind me. I was like, "Oh shit. wtf...." I was a bit reluctant to ask him for a picture at first, since we were in the bathroom, but I manned up and asked him anyway--and got my picture with him
He said he didn't mind, and would even be okay with taking a picture while we were peeing, though that "might be a little weird."
Taught Myth how to pass his English exam Got Grubby to freestyle with me (sort of) Convinced 4K DreAm to play sc2 Met Thorzain at MLG, and then he was swarmed by fanboys, so we didnt get to talk Watched Demuslim slam his keyboard losing to Strifecro, Drank with them both later. While at MLG, my friends wife was sitting next to IdrA during the MC throat slash, you can see her in a couple of the videos. Met Losira, Moon and MC all at the practice area at Columbus, told Moon he was a god countless times While chatting with some people, IdrA walked by and they got a photo with him, i tried to bomb the photo, dont know if it worked Talked with a bunch of COD pros at MLG, a bunch were like "man we shouldve won, but my teammates sucked" others were really kosher people, down for everything, and really fun. Go figure it was a girl COD team.
I've had a couple, but I don't think it's too big of a deal. I was on Kings of Tin really early on and played 4v4 with Wheat, Chill, and Zlasher. Got to show off some sick storms on stream. I also got a shoutout from Artosis during the GSL finals 2 or 3 seasons ago for "hosting" a GSL party (it got canceled).
As for real life encounters, I met a lot of progamers at IEM New York last year. HuK sat next to me after he got eliminated (forgot the storm research). Asked qxc some questions. I met Rich briefly. Talked to Day[9] and got him to sign my bag. I think that's the extent of it. I'm planning on going to MLG Providence, but I doubt I'll get as many opportunities again.
I went out to have a smoke at the NASL finals and bumped into Tasteless and Artosis, where I regaled them with a story about Richard Rorty's penis. Tasteless was into it but Artosis was sort of looking at me like I was a serial killer.
During beta I played a custom map with one of Husky's friends... does that count? I also played with someone using the ID iNcontroL on League of Legends, but I didn't think it was worth asking if it was actually Geoff. >.>

Once, Destiny scrolled over a comment of mine when he was browsing teamliquid on his stream. i think it was in that big language debate thread. I got really giddy @_@
Was vileHashes first mod for his stream back when he was on Livestream last year, talked to some of his high ranked buddies in his chat then too. Talked to Machine to congrat him after an MLG on in game chat. My fav of them all though is being 2 posts down from Rekrul in a thread were Xeris tried to apologize to a fan, Rekrul's a baller. ^^ edit- Oh and a few months back I dominated a random 4v4 game against Husky and some of his buddies, went mass ghost all over them ftw.
Very cool stories here! I played COH with HuK (who was then GosuStarcraft). HuK was so fucking beastly at that game. I was always the most intimidated against him, even moreso than the actual #1 ranked people. I asked him if he remembered me, and he said "very vaguely." So there's that haha. I don't think I could take games anymore.
At Dreamhack summer a couple of months ago my computer broke down for like a day so since I couldn't play in the open tournament I went around watching games, collecting autographs and chating with some pros.
The most memorable ones were HuK, whom I approached after his games against Moon, I asked him if he won, he said yes and I asked for his autograph. He joked about if I would still have wanted it if he had lost.
I also think I really cheered up Machine, he had just been knocked out and was laddering and did pretty poorly and looked overall sad so I went up to him, asked for his autograph and said he was a great player/wished him luck. He seemed genuinely cheered up!
I also spoke to HasuObs a couple of times, wishing him luck etc, he seems like a really cool guy! And at the end of all of this I came away with a piece of hard paper with a sick collection of autographs, I'll upload a picture later if I remember it!
I got to thank Day 9 for getting me out of bronze once :D Oh and also, I was the only person in the pool with the koreans (MC, Zenio, PuMa) on the last day of the nasl finals, and I just sat there watching them play like little kids, having so much fun.
I went to MLG Columbus and I was looking around the player stations when the doors first opened. I was setting up my keyboard etc to get a practice game in, and Day9 walks up. I get an autograph and am very happy to be able to talk to him in person.
Then Gretorp walks up, I get a picture with both, and then Day9 insists that I get a massage (IDK WHY), so both Day 9 and Gretorp begin to massage me. Never washing my shoulders again.
Day 9 answered my question once in the daily mispronouced my name though (he said no-b-bob its really nob-bob) thats about all. living in canada sucks for meeting pro-gamers
Meeting X'Ds~Grrrr... in person along with the rest of the X'Ds~ team back in 2000 when Grrrr... was at the top of the game. Spent a week with them in Quebec. Great time.
CatsPajamas repeated my chat joke to the 30 people watching DoA's jtv stream during a Code A broadcast that the most surreal part of watching and listening to DoA's free form MS Paint art session was having Moletrap talk over DoA again. Also the one about Huk being 6'3" with the pillow.
I remember I met a bunch of people at PAX East this year, there was a fairly big chunk of EG there, and JP, Wheat, Day9, Pokebunny, etc. Also I just randomly saw Torch and was like, wait why's he at PAX?
Also, this is kinda funny I think. I apparently met Artosis when he went to my old house once, but I didn't know at the time lol. He was friends with my bro in high school, and my bro had a birthday party. This was back in maybe 2002-2003 ish, and I didn't really know much about BW until like 08 when my bro told me about scforall haha.
Edit: Oh and coLRyan too from NESC2League, I guess people in NH will run into everyone else in NH eventually haha. Oh and someone at my college knew Milkis, and I played him (and got wrecked) one time. It was pretty sad how bad D- is compared to D+...
At MLG Anaheim, I was one of the first in line to meet BoxeR, MMA, MVP, and DRG. After BoxeR finished signing my copy of SC2, I bowed to him and said "Kamsa hamnida, kwan jang nim" (Thank you, master). He pointed to himself and was like "kwan jang nim?!" MMA agreed with me and laughed:
Not long after that, I spotted TLO and wanted to get a picture with him. When I was next, he got pulled away to the player area, but he pointed at me and said "I'll get you, I promise." Found him at the Sony Ericsson autograph signing and got this:
I also got to meet Day[9] with my girlfriend, and we told him that our second date was watching his Valentine's Day Funday Monday (truth). He laughed and called that "erotic" while he signed my SC2 (the same one the Koreans signed!!). Then I thanked him for getting me into platinum and he fist bumped me. For the picture, there was probably a couple of inches in between us, so he was like "get in here" as he pulled us in closer:

I think Osho is from Israel right? He is a pretty damn good Zerg player, he's been in a few big Euro tournaments, perhaps you can get to meet him? Organise something with the SC2 community there. You never know what could happen. For example the only really notable Australian progamer is Moonglade but I am travelling here in a Germany and I had the crazy luck of bumping into a pro. It's a small Tarsonis.

Great stories in here, a lot of laughs too, I'm glad people are enjoying talking about their experiences.
Lots of good publicity for Huk in here by the looks of it! He sounds like a real champ, I never know what to think of the popular pros, people online can be far different to how they are in person and sometimes people just keep up appearances to not deal with too much shit.

What did Bomber say?
I auctally was chatting with YoDa and Happy at the time. I had metioned that they both are 2 of my favourite Terrans. He chimed in and said "what about me?"
I didn't know who he was (he was using Koreans id) so I asked him and he said bomber. I check his profile and it was #2 GM at the time. So I told him I loved him (as a fan) and he thanked me. We talked about the GSL afterwords for like 10-15 mins or such until GSL came on.
I'm such an e-fanboy (no real life experiences ;/). I had Morrow and Kellymilkies reply to posts of mine. TLO answered one of my questions on IRC and Jinro just recently replied to one of my PMs about race wars. ;x
I went to my first ever lan event because the venue was literally 5 minutes walking from my house. I had found out the night before right after my exams at uni and you could enter at the door. First round I'm against ROOTDdoRo and I think to myself this can't actually be someone from ROOT. He was. I got owned by an inbase proxy 2gate on Scrap followed by a voidray rush on Lost Temple. If I ever make it to top Masters he's enemy number 1.
This was at the NASL Gives Back event. Friends and I drove down to Santa Monica Pier to meet Gretorp, White-Ra, Sen, and Primadog. We played video games at the arcade (Gretorp stomped some noob at Street Fighter, I played an air rifle game with White-Ra, and my other friend played House of the Dead with White-Ra). Primadog took this photo so unfortunately he isn't in it
My friend and I stood here over his shoulder and watched his game against Moon (I think it was Moon) at MLG Anaheim. It was awesome to watch him play in first person.
Taken at MLG Anaheim. Day[9] signed my chest because my friend (who bailed on us the day before) is a huge Day[9] fan and was begging for an autographed photo. Well, he did get his autograph in a photo.
played Debo a few times while he was streaming. one time i went for FE and he went all-in and after i lost i quickly switched on his stream only to hear him say: "what an idiot, you can't FE on that map"
Back in early beta I got matched against the likes of iNcontrol and ViBE and a few others quite frequently, I talked to them and was all giddy while playing. For some reason I specially remember ViBE, because I played him so many times in both 1v1 and 2v2, he ALWAYS destroyed me.
edit: I will be at Blizzcon 2011 (2 days after returning from Iraq for the past year) hopefully I will have many more PRO stories
I met every progamer that went to MLG Dallas 2010 (Ret, IdrA, Jinro, and iNcontroL were notably fucking nice although all of them were really nice people), as well as djWHEAT, JP, and Day[9]. Actually djWHEAT and Day[9] hung out with me and a few other fans from the Texas eSports Association (a University of Texas at Austin student organization) for maybe half an hour? (maybe more like 15 minutes, I don't remember) the first night we were there.
Needless to say MLG even a few events ago was vastly different from the MLG we just had last weekend. At MLG Dallas 2010 there were basically a few hundred fans and when we were sitting on the floor watching games I looked around and Day9, Gretorp, IdrA, and Tyler were all like within arms reach of me. That probably wouldn't happen again at an MLG, lol.
I passd by White-ra in the bathroom at MLG Anaheim
Got a pic with MMA, Alicia, Jinro, and Huk
Jinro, Huk, and MMA were super nice about getting pictures and general fan interaction.
I felt bad asking Milkis to take a pic with Alicia. He seemed pretty annoyed and said "You know you can do it at 10" and refused to help take a pic with a friend and I.
My friend randomly invited Liquid Ret to our party just to see how he would respond. He ended up joining and was like 3v3 gogogogogo so we played some 3s with him :D 3-0
At MLG Columbus, I met most of the pro-gamers and got to talk to them for a bit. I was surprised at how easy it was to get a hold of them between matches. I got pics with everyone I talked to, but my brother messed up a bunch of them I'll post the good ones.
At Columbus, my brother and I shared a room that was right across the hall from Root- our favorite team. Pics ensued:
Also, we literally shared the hotel elevator with all the Koreans. It was so amazing They were so nice- especially MMA and Losira. I think MC's game face is permanently stuck on him though:
I also talked to- and got pics with- all of EG, who was perhaps the nicest team I had gotten the chance to have discussions with that day. Every person on EG (iNcontroL, idrA, Axslav, LZ, Machine, etc.) introduced themselves by their first name and asked for my first name, and then some small talk occasionally ensued.
I was fortunate enough to, of course, find a lot of the Team Liquid players (although, interestingly enough, never with my TL shirt on). I also saw Hot Bid running around, and I got to shake his hand TLO had a wonderful night the previous evening, by the way...
I also got to chat with Naniwa, Thorzain, and Morrow about how well they thought they would do (but unfortunately, those pics were epic fails). I then got to meet Tasteless, Artosis, Day[9], and DJ Wheat, (and my younger brother messed up my pics with Day[9] x.x), talked with Day[9] about mathematics and Day[9] Dailies, I got several compliments from Tastosis regarding my shirt (I was labeled as quite the Handsome Nerd ), and I talked with Artosis about going chargelot-archon in PvP

Hey I was there too :3 I was the nerd that won the eg mousepad.
Played 2 games vs Day[9] in sc1 Played a few games vs Louder in sc1 (Extra points if you know who he is) Played Kawaii too many times in sc1 too :p thats about it Asked idra for a game and called stork a chobo.
I told incontrol to storm the hydras instead of the roaches when he asked the stream why he lost a game. He raged pretty hard, so naturally I trolled him by saying "u mad?"...He banned me from the chat...then ranted about how he only was constructive criticism and not trolling, using my first and second comments as examples for both...lawl
I was walking into the bathroom at MLG Anaheim right before the WhiteRa and Drewbie match. WhiteRa walks out and passes me. I turn and yell, "WhiteRa, good luck!" and do the double thumbs up. He turns around, yells "Thanks!" and does the double thumbs up.
I washed my hands next to TLO in the bathroom right before his match against InControl. I was so nervous I asked him if he was still in the tournament even though I knew he was playing next.
I saw Tyler and his wife walking towards my direction and I said "OMG It's Tyler!" I think he probably heard me and I was going to ask for a picture but judging from his facial expression he didn't want to be bothered so I just awkwardly watched him walk pass me.
I didn't take any pictures with progamers but I took many creepy secret pictures of progamers.
I once stood next to Trek. Beat that with a stick^^
That was pretty awesome, but I guess it was when I played Sven and Slayer in the 2v2 tournament at TG i dunno... 10 years ago? Or when I was in Korea during MBC vs SKT in PL and I held up a sign saying 'Sea fighting' and the camera shifted to him.. then he waved, but then got embarrassed and the camera just stayed on him. lol.
hmmmz... i guess they are all bw people..... oh well

Damn, just looked at his record on Liquipedia O.o . Weird that I never heard about him. Finally have a proplayer to look for here
I got to play Kiwikaki in a TLOpen streamed infront of a few hundred people, I crafted a sweet Stalker rush perfect for PvP, but his 1 gate immortal completely countered it T_T
The event was MLG Dallas 2010 grand finals, there was this guy there named Liquid'jinro, I had never heard of him or most of the pros there. Jinro was tearing it up so of course I wanted to meet this guy, and so I did. He was one of the most kind, chill, and handsome dude ever. Jinro then goes on to the finals with TT1, I sit in a hot little back room with 150 people crammed into it waiting for over an hour to watch Jinro take the first MLG title. A little while later I was staying up bragging to everyone I had met and gotten a picture with the foreigner tearing it up in GSL!
Nope, haven't had any really, talked to Hwangsin briefly on his stream (before it was featured. Yeah, i'm a hwangsin hipster), he showcased his amazing english skills.

Oh yeah I spoke to Hwangsin as well, a bit about Nerchio and how he beat him.
got tasteless and julys signatures from mlg coloumbus and i saw tasteless and artosis running to cast their matches, they must been late, so they were running thru the mail hall with no escort with there sport jackets over there head to avoid getting stopped by fans so they wouldn't be late and as they walked past me i told them "nice cloak upgrade" or something, i think they got the joke either way it was funny
I am a fan of Gretorp and I got lucky enough to see him at MLG. I walked up to him and asked him to sign my shoe and I handed it to him and he was the only person to sign it so he was like "I'm the First one!?" and I was like "You are the ONLY one!" then he put his arms out and we embraced in a nerd hug. Now I got my awesome shoe signed by Gretorp.
I got autographs from a bunch of people at MLG dallas (huk, qxc, the whole complexity team, sheth, gretorp, TLO, naniwa, and a couple others I don't remember off the top of my head). I've played Deezer in a tournament. I chat with coL.Ryan on twitter and G4MR follows me. Oh and I write for Check6Gaming (a group of awesome guys!)
No real life stories, but In the TL open series, I've played (and lost to) SLoG (1st rd), Future and Gatored (both 3rd rd), first two when I was in platnum and last when I was diamond...it wasn't even close :p

That might be the coolest HuK story I have ever heard. What a badass
I stalked HuK and TLO to get HuK's autograph at Dreamhack Summer. He went to do a interview, and TLO just stood and stared at me while I waited for HuK do be done. But since I were so nervous to speak with him so I didn't dare to ask him until he had done a interview with rakaka. I then got the courage to ask him, my voice shaked and I forgot my pen so he had to remember me to get my pen back. ^^
Hung out around some EG guys including Idra/Lz/Axslav/Strifecro for over an hour. Had great conversation with Axslav and he even snuck us into the player's area for the last Open Bracket round games. Had a nice chat with HayprO who is a super nice and intelligent guy and was accidentally grabbed by Grubby's cameraman and featured on his documentary during MLG Dallas.

Had a couple of conversations with iNcontrol and a very very funny one with Gretorp at the NASL Grand Finals, along with running into Day[9] in the bathrooms lolol.
Also played Mr. Bitters student on stream, beat him 3 of 5 times, played Mr. Bitter, and got smashed. =P
Also while I was at MLG dallas 2010 I was getting a picture with Day9 and the camera ran out of batteries, in the mean time day9 gave me a back massage for a good minute, all those years of gaming made him a good chiropractor.
MLG D.C I bumped into HuK and this was the first time I was getting serious about Starcraft 2(Was competing for Halo Reach at D.C made it to Round 5.). I looked at him and I said "I think I know you" then he replies "No You don't". Then after glancing at him for a little more im like "YOUR HUK" hes like "Yeah, whats up". I asked him what he thinks about Idra and if he can take him out, he responded by telling me he thinks he maybe the only one who can take him out. Before he left I asked him how to win PvZ and he told me "Dont play toss, they suck". Then he vanished.. Just like that.
I met Day9 at PAX East2011! There I hugged him twice and got a photo with him. The 2nd hug which was promised to me by day9 set off a chain rection hug with the people waiting in line for an evening with day9 and husky XD. I also met iNControl and got to chat with him cool guy!
My closest one was I had a lesson with machine something like 5 months ago, then a few weeks ago as I was about to log and go to the gym I get a message from Machine asking me to play one of his students. So I did, and then got to play a couple games vs Machine, I was like retardedly happy about that.
Went to Korea in May. Got to watch the GSTL finals of SlayerS vs. MVP live at the GSL studio. Took a picture with BoxeR, shook his hand, and saw all of the players in person. Amazing. Also met cArn, TorcH, DoA. Got some GSL on-air screen time with my bro and our sign.
GSL - Gym, Starcraft, Laundry. That was us
Then I caught part of GSL Code S tournament. Saw HongUn, Genius, took a picture with MKP.
NOTE: Despite comments, I do not spam them, first, I make sure their stream is not online, secondly, I make sure they are not in a game (or if they are marked "busy" or "away"). Only then will I believe that they are just "chillin", in which I make my move.
In case any pros read this, if you found me annoying, please PM me and I will apologize (but when you PM me that's another victory for me :D)
Last year I was in a journalism class and I wanted to write as many ESPORTS related articles for my school's paper as my teacher would allow (turns out that number is quite a lot). My first article had something to do with casters and to get an interview I sent emails/youtube messages to Day9/Husky/HD/Psy. Psy was the only one to email me back and he was mad chill. Answered all of my questions and stuff.
Few months later my friend ran into him during an FFA and they started talking after.
A friend and I decided to go TLO-gaming-house-hunting as we had a vague idea of where the place was located. Before, we had looked at google maps for over 3 hours (not even kidding) without finding a house that matched the pictures we found on TL.com.
We grabbed our bikes and found the house hardly believed our eyes when the 10th or so house we looked at turned out to be it! We didn't dare to knock as it'd feel a bit stalkerish, stood and felt stupid for like 5 minutes until we decided that we'd come back later with a gift of some sort.
I kinda forgot about the whole thing until my "friend"(!) told me he went there with another guy, and they were the first ever fans to be let into the house!!! Damn him to hell!
I guess it wasn't really a close encounter for me in that sense but it counts for something
Before CellaWeRRa was on slayers and he was streaming on NA I had him as a friend and we played 3 games on his stream, I lose all 3 but I had a blast. Holy check.
One of my co-workers I work with every day heard I was into SC and he just happens to mention that his son is Artosis. Small world, especially since I live in Cali.
I've called into Destinys stream a few times, and called djWHEAT on Weapon of Choice a few times. Discussed (rather, ranted about) language with Steven on stream and with djWHEAT I brought up the "possible bias" from the EG/Milkis drama and had a nice discussion. Thats about it.
I got a cool SC2 poster signed by savior, nada, and yellow back when they competed in Blizzcon for BW!
Who would have known at that time one would be disavowed by the community, one would switch over to SC2 full time, and the third would ... well we'll see!
I played SC and then BW from 1998 to 2001 or so at a decent level. Hung out in all the really old school channels that were around back then (nohunters, x17, etc) and then moved on to Kali when all the pros migrated there. You would see people like elky, rekrul, grrr, 1st~tsunami, tillerman, eVERLAST, (orky)asmodey, lots and lots of old school pros I can't remember, hanging around in those channels and on Kali.
Played against fairly high level old school players, xDs guys back when they were one of the top foreign clans, SuperCondomUser (wonder what ever happened to him?)...others I can't remember. Lots of fun memories.
Nothing really in SC2 except taking games off low GM players occasionally on ladder...I'm too old now, not enough time to play as much as I would like.
I had a great conversation 2 times with Qxc during MLG Anaheim on day 3. The first conversation was during the hour long boxer vs rain match and he gave me a full analysis, the second conversation I asked him if he could beat MMA in a mixed martial arts match (I asked because he stated previously he's studied jiu-jitsu and MMA has used to be a mma fighter).
I was part of White-Ra's entourage for MLG Anaheim, sorta helping him out. He's super chill and he loves his Korean BBQ. On his last day in California, I picked out a great place for all of us to eat, but traffic was heavy so we didn't make it
I shook hands with IdrA at a tourney, got his autograph, and told him I loved his stream and that I almost failed studying for my final exam when he finally got to streaming for the first time in a long while. He's so polite and he's got the most piercing blue eyes, I was like @______@
I also spoke with the some of the rest of EG, EGDeMuslim and Lz I think. So mannered~
Met a lot of Team Reign members at MLG Anaheim, they were fun Kiwi remembered my battle.net name at the TL lounge kickback thing, but I don't think he remembered my name haha.
I hung out with most of the FXO Koreans like Slog, Oz, Moonan even though my Korean is bad, they were hilarious though a bit drunk haha.
Pretty cool stories, kind of weird to think how celebrity Starcraft pros are nowadays. I have met with all of Quantic gaming, Talked with Sen, MC, Ret, at NASL. Met Geoff 3 times now, Sean 4 times and he even has the sign my fiance made for him in his room still. Talked with Machine a couple times. The most famous player ever CFTrident is a buddy of mine
I played a GM called JediGameR or something offracing in custom. I was stomping him quite hard and he said something like "Are you mad you'll never be in GM?" lol
On August 06 2011 08:57 Soulish wrote: I played a GM called JediGameR or something offracing in custom. I was stomping him quite hard and he said something like "Are you mad you'll never be in GM?" lol
lol thats syndicate, he's basicly known for being a very mediocre cheesy player who BMs like no other.
Got TLO to sign the top of my laptop at the GSL. Got a picture with Fruitdealer. Had dinner and interviewed Torch and Seltzer. Interviewed Tastosis and Idra. Walked behind Tastosis in Shinchon. (>.> Not creepy stalker like I promise. Friend and I were coming out of the subway and we were heading back to our dorm. Halfway there, we realized the people in front of us were Tastosis. Chickened out and didn't say anything though Took pictures for my friend Gimble of him and Jinro and Huk.
Tl:dr; What do you do when you study abroad? Starcraft stuff.
hung out with entire FXO team, as well as kiwikaki, TT1, and all of team Dignitas, and their manager. and got into the IPL Pro lounge.
Had a few drinks with Kiwi and team FXO, TT1, SeleCt, and others, before management came and took our booze away.
Also witnessed Choya mistake a can of Burner Fuel (the stuff they use to keep food trays hot) for dip, and dip his nacho chip into it, AND eat it before I could slap it out of his hand. I felt terrible, and tried to warn him what he just did, but he realized (in what seemed like super slow motion) what just happened, and he began to dry heave, we rushed him to the restroom but the IPL lounge was a closed set for recording, and they had locked us in. We ended up having to open the door anyways because he was feeling really sick, and he got out but we got yelled at by the IPL recording staff.
Also got to hang out with milkis and many others, and he helped us get Ganzi's autograph!
Also met: Liquid Jinro, Liquid TLO (who knows me now because i stalked him at blizzcon!), Liquid Ret, Liquid Haypro, EG.Incontrol (we both got ice cream at the IPL lounge at the same time and we briefly talked), Alicia, MMA laughed at me when I asked if I could take a picture of him while he was warming up as he was being rather shy, Moletrap, PeanutSC, White-Ra, Rain, DRG, and Sheth!
There's probably a lot more from what happened at MLG Anaheim, but it was awesome, and all thanks to my friend who knew all of the pros and introduced me to them. Awesome friend, and awesome pro players for being so chill. Shoutouts to :
Milkis, SloG, Optik, Oz, Moonan, qxc, tgun, unstable, Choya, Steak/Stalife/Steaklife, Slush, Kiwi, TT1, SeleCT, Naniwa, SjoW (It's sjowtime!), Merz, and their team manager Odee who was SUPER awesome (but a billiards shark!) who hung out with us all weekend!
i msged day9 and said i whip my hair grack and forth and it is forever archived in a daily
i say on incontrols stream "turn ur keyboard down its too loud" and hes like wow i love how people demand things when you're streaming
i told artosis he made a typo in his post once AND he messaged me back
i tried to tell day9 in one of his dailies he said you could select literally infinite units with this engine but i went to fastest map and its really only like 500 overlords max.. i didnt even get a response from the sean himself tho
Talked to Day9 multiple times IRL. Destiny and I talked for like 10 seconds. Met Tastosis (I was probably blushing the whole time) Sheth is awesome Ret is also awesome Took a group photo with Boxer, so handsome IdrA's quite mannered IRL. I was surprised Puma autographed my mouse pad, cool guy Incontrol is super mannered. Awesome dude. Machine is super cool, same with Spanishiwa
Got a game casted of mine on PsYStarcraft's Youtube channel (not quite a "pro" persay, but its cool to have a Youtube video of you playing and 28k views on it)
Got iNcontrol to respond to a private message I sent to him, with him simply saying "Erotic :D"
I played against "liquid travis" I think his name was? He's a mod here on TL but at first I thought he was actually someone from "team liquid" fail haha. He seemed like he was really pissed off and he BM'd me though But afterwards he apologized
I've congratulated Huk on wins and cheered him on on his facebook more than once and i've got replies for everyone
Also met Optikzero in a 3v3 with some friends, we didn't think it was the real one and happened to decide to early pool. We also happened to gang up at optik's base in which me and my other friend decided to do the hatch cancel creep trick and make spines there. He quickly ragequit
So here's my brush with fame. Last year July before there were too many tournaments out I hosted and ran a tournament with a bunch of big names, one of which was Huk before he blew up with fame. Here's the interview. This is just before release so its interesting to listen to the strategies pre release and now a year after.
I met Day9 at IEM New York, but my camera didnt work so I couldn't get a picture. Then I played him on 4v4 ladder while I was playing with some friends. I played JP on ladder a few weeks ago while he was streaming. I also went to a lan event with slog, moonan, and pokebunny. My friend also met White-Ra at complete random in the subway while he was in New York, and got his autograph and talked for about half an hour.
Met and had Husky commentate the 2v2 Tournament in the PAX 2010 BYOC event (managed to even get 2nd place with a random on the spur partner I didn't know lawl)...
Got to go to a Starcraft 2 Design Presentation by Dustin Browder at GDC 2011, and managed to ask him why the Design team chose the Dark Shrine as the only building in the entire game without an Upgrade-able ability (while we all scurried onto our next Talks/Presentations). To which he replied... "We couldn't find an upgrade that would have been suitable, and not all buildings had to have an ability upgrade." ...
Went firebats against Octzerg in the TSL2 ladder, still lost to zerglings. A year later, Plexa mentions having watched that game.
Played infernal in a TvP Outsider when he was preparing to play Flash for WCG on that map. My best Flash impersonation was obviously not good enough. Got rolled.
Beat Kenya's WCG qualifier Psyko in a TvP. He was D level and tried to defend his natural with mass cannons against my tank/vulture...
EDIT: Just noticed this is the Sc2 forum. Woops. Met Thorzain and NaNiwa in NY.
I met a bunch of pros at Anaheim :[. Got my shirt signed by them too. Alicia, Mvp, and Choya were the only koreans though. I talked to Oz and was too scared to talk to the rest of FXO :[.
also I have a picture with blasterion, who's a complete baller
In 2004 the WCG Grand Finals were in San Francisco, so I took some vacation days from work and headed over there. I hung around mostly with mnm and collegeBored and had the opportunity to meet Testie, Nazgul, Artosis, Insane, I think Drone was there... Anyway Testie was (is?) very much a young hooligan who was really interested in pulling pranks and whatnot, and by contrast Artosis was (is?) very much a man of business and passion. Even back then he talked about nothing but Starcraft: who his opponents were, what map he was playing next round, what the balance on the maps are like, what some good strategies are on the WCG maps, who has the best chance against the Koreans, definite shoutouts to him for holding it down even now. I forget who it was that introduced me to Nazgul as "TL's most famous resident conservative" and Nazgul's eyes immediately lit up and he said to me something along the lines of "you seem friendly enough" as he shook my hand haha.
At the first Blizzcon I bought a second copy of SC just so the progamers would sign it. I met and took pictures with Nal_rA, NaDa, I think YellOw was there too, and some other players I can't really remember. That was a super awesome moment though.
The lesson is if you have even a remote opportunity to go to a major tournament, you must go! You won't regret it.

Beat incontrol and thisisjimmy on ladder. Lost to tasteless during beta, he just made an inbase hatch and massed lings... bastard took my ladder points.
Lost to Goody 5 times in a row on ladder (seriously we matched 5 times in a row >.<)
For MLG Anaheim, Teamliquid, vVv, TK, and VP gamers all came to my internet cafe ^__^. I got to meet huk, jinro, TLO, HDstarcraft, Dopa, and several others. The best part was that I could stand over their shoulder and watch them play... their APM is insane, it sounds like a typist doing 120 WPM.
I shook IdrA's hand and got a picture taken with him at Columbus. It was like my unrealistic goal going there and I actually got it so I was pretty excited to meet my favorite pro
Messaged qxc when he was at one of the earlier MLGs playing idra, when he was accidently researching air plating instead of ground plating for his Thors. Told him what was up, and he said "rofl thanks"
During the beta I got 0-5ed by Artosis, beat Tasteless, Torch, and Neans. Lost to KawaiiRice and Machine. I beat Louder on his stream PvP with 2 gate proxy on Blistering Sands when he had like 1500 viewers, I came in chat afterwards because I didn't stream cheat, and people were saying he used the n-word haha.
Got to play a FFA with Masq and Cella, that was fun. I tried to kill cella with voidrays and he was freaking out lol. But then I got smashed by my neighbor.
Recently lost a game to KellyMilkies because my PvZ is horrific. Probably the lowest moment of my SC2 career lol. And I got manner hatched too.
My MMR sucks I wish I could still play known players like in beta. :/ FU PVZ
MLG Anaheim 2011: Meeting up with most of the pros including most of the Liquid, EG, Dignitas, Slayers members, and all the casters. In related event, getting my pirate bird poster shouted out by JP and Incontrol at the end of the latest SotG (EP45): + Show Spoiler +

I have a hat that's signed by players from MLG Raleigh 2010, but at that time, I didn't really know who they were that much... It includes: Incontrol, QXC, JP, Husky, Huk, LzGamer, and then Day 9 has the biggest one on the top of the hat with a big heart under it.
Swapped from Terran to Zerg back in August 2010. Got matched with Unstable on Steppes of War against his Protoss on my 5th game of Zerg ever. Now I've seen him on GSL. Lol.
Day9 read my question on the daily about a year ago. I've got him on my friends list in-game, but I don't want to bother the dude. Guess I'll have to get good enough to get on friendsday wednesday
Back just after release when there was the gosucoaching training house and QXC was there, he was interacting with the crowd on camera. Apparently I'm his hero.
HuK did a Q&A a few months back on his stream while laddering and he told me his favorite PvT opener (the infamous 20 food FE).
I've got a few familiar faces on my friends list; QXC's old ROOT account, Day9, CombatEX and sjArtosis. I don't plan on bothering any of them, it's just kind of cool to see them log on
Saw TLO coming out of the Anaheim Hilton last BlizzCon and asked him if he was going to go be going to the TL after party and he said "I dont' know I think so" but in that awesome German accent. It was one of the coolest run in with a pro gamer yet. lol

Interesting, because all my tvz games are basically 45 minutes! Tvp average length is 18, and tvt average length is 35 minutes according to analysis.
Maybe I used to be hardcore cheesy, i was using cheeses to figure out what worked and what didn't. PM me for long games against progamers.
This is for BW, but I guess it applies here as well.
So my dad works for STX, and about 2 years ago we went to Pusan for a BW event @ Haewoondae, and I was so stoked sitting in the very front row with my dad's colleagues. I remember during the event, I needed to use the washroom backstage, and as I was returning to my seat, I saw Bisu walking along with 2 guys in suits. We stared at each other for 1 second, gave a slight grin, and I just kept walking (yeah I didn't ask for an autograph/picture it just didn't feel necessary). Anyways, about 3/4 through the tournament we leave the place (I know I was kinda pissed off at that moment) but to my surprise, I ended up eating with the STX Soul manager and a couple of Seo Ji Soo's lady friends (no, she was not there D: ) and a few other ppl whom I didn't know of. Halfway through our dinner Park Jong Soo joins our dinner and at the time, I only knew him as a pro gamer (didn't really follow him in the gaming scene much, I only knew Hwasin and Tossgirl from STX). It was pretty nice meeting/talking with them and the manager wanted me to stay over at their gaming house for a couple days and I told him I'll think about it (ended up not going, I wasn't a HUGE bw fan + I was leaving soon back to Canada anyways.)
And apparently, Hwasin's very good at basketball haha
I had the great pleasure of being at the HomeStory Cup III finals, in the pub beneath Take's place. I saw all of the pros that were playing at least once, chatted with Socke a bit, and got manly handshakes from Huk and Tyler. I really wanted a chance to say hi to Naniwa, but he stayed inside until the end and then he was really upset after his loss and hopped straight into a taxi.
I just dreamed i got a autograph from BoxeR. Other then that a few months ago Day[9] was walking down my street and i saw him so i ran out and gave him a hug.
I have had my name/question read out 5 times during the gsl interviews. (was the happiest nerrd) One of my questions was "why did nestea bring 5 drones out to kill the engineering bay blocking his natural" i thought it was more economic to wait and build it after lings because of the lost mining time. nestea said he wanted to expand and it was a stupid question. John then asked why artosis asked that question.
was quite a funny moment.
EDIT 1 - John said it was stupid, nestea said it was obvious
When playing WC3 I happened to be in the same clan, Keepers of Destruction, as a few people who are semi-famous in various gaming communities. Probably the most well known in the SC2 community are Axslav and Strifecro who are currently on EG. Shriek was a pretty well known WC3 player that I also got to know pretty well - but TL would probably appreciate the fact that he's Froz's little brother more than anything. KoD-Elemental now plays LoL with CLG or something. I don't follow competitive LoL so I'm not sure how big of a deal that is.
It's kind of amazing how many interesting people were in that clan!
From reading through this thread it's really interesting how many people have met progamers through MLG. It really shows how great an event (or several events) have been for the fans with obviously a lot interaction between the players and the fans.
I hope that tournaments in Europe and other places can create the similar environment that MLG has in order to help esports grow. I know there has been a lot of criticism for MLG but perhaps they are actually doing a good job without even knowing it thanks to the awesome players they invite.
Please keep the stories coming! It's funny to hear about how stalker-ish some of us can be when it comes to meeting a progamer
I got humiliated in the Semi-finals of an online tournament in the hands of HwangSin, and it was casted. I didn't see the cast (for obvious reasons) but friends told me afterwards that it was pretty brutal (of course I was already super nervous for playing HwangSin with cash on the line). Learning experience though
I'm a mid level diamond player, not close to Masters League. My usual way of warming up for a ladder session is to jump in some random 2v2s and just play out a couple build orders just to get my hands moving, not going tryhard mode.
So, open up Star2 one evening, hit the random 2v2 queue, and I get matched up against... Sen and White-Ra. o_0
My random partner was a tool, but other than that, it was incredibly cool just to play a match with pros and get decimated in front of a stream of ~5000 people. :-)
Similar experience, got matched up in 4v4 against nrgsteve, dde, and vibe. Quite a shock for someone who's not even masters. I got slaughtered. I did get entertainment out of being "favored" though.
So far, I have a couple modest achievements, but they make me happy.
1. I am a moderator for Trump's stream chat. 2. I played a 2v2 with 4K.Warden (though he was xiWarden, at the time) because I answered a trivia question correctly in his stream chat.
Edit: 10/29/2011 3. Recently become a mod for Liquid'Jinro and TSL_Polt!!!
It's my way of trying to help them for helping me (by just being awesome!).
A few months ago I started doing amateur media work with Starcarft 2. I went to MLG Columbus and local LANs and met a lot of players. However at this last MLG in Anaheim I saw TLO and approached him. After introducing myself again he asked, "Are you coming to all the MLGs?". He recognized me from when we met in Columbus and that was super-awesome.
On my way to MLG anaheim in the morning I passed by the Fnatic team and tried to control myself. Saturday I went to go get pizza and Kiwikiaki/Slush were in line so I held in my inner fan girl.
Talked to the guy who made the Dignitas video of MLG (always forget his name lol), at dreamhack and complimented him on a job well done, he was thankfull and tired as hell I believe
Also talked a bit with Thorzain at Dreamhack and said he was providing great games, he was kinda down and said he hoped to show some better games etc. He looked so startled
My best moments of meeting pro gamers were at Dreamhack summer 2011. Me and my brother volunteered for Dreamhack as interviewers in the Arena section. We interview LaLush and MorroW among others in SC2 and other games, and had a long chat with morrow after his interview. Around the event i didn't wanna bother the gamers for pics / signings cause they always looked so busy Right after the finals in the arena we hung out back stage and day9 walks in, so we talked to him about the finals and he was ecstatic, jumping around couldn't believe that 6pool in the final game. But the best moment must have been to get to film my brother interview HuK minutes after his win. The video is below.
Oh and White-ra was going to come on my stream when I did a 24 hour charity marathon, but ended up not doing so. I think he was too busy but was way too mannered to say no at the time. I still love him.
Not irl experiences, but Grubby has tweeted me back a bunch of times and always seems to make an effort to respond to his fans. Very small gestures from him like that mean a lot to fanboys like me. Also, Wolf was spoiling GSL games in his twitter so I tweeted him and told him it was bad. He didn't reply but he stopped spoiling as much so I guess he's OK.
At Assembly summer last friday, I was watching the Asus ROG tournament live and was reserving a seat for my friend when out of nowhere Dimaga comes and asks if he can take the seat. Then I utterly pwn him by telling him that it's reserved. Then he takes the one next to it. :D
My buddy and I were both placed in a 4v4 with Idra playing Terran. It was during that last LAN they went to in either Arizona or the Verizon one... I'm guessing he was just warming up.
Anyways, he was semi-crippled early by a roach rush that I cleaned up cross map, and then he tried to go mass cloak banshee on 2 ports, losing his entire group of them several times in the center of the map or harassing a Protoss main that had blink stalkers and canons.
Eventually he just leaves, we got a ton of money, other teammate leaves, tons more money. Then we macro'd like crazy and steamrolled the other team... Idra probably never even knew.
Confirmed it was him with my creeper friendslist/comparing the ID with the one he was using onstream at the LAN.
I called up to this show called Inside the Game and djWHEAT took my call and I got to talk to painuser, IdrA and incontrol. Call it good luck but this happened 9 times in a row.
I really enjoy how social vilePsy is. I have played 2 games with him. he always (expect for two days ago) replied to my in game messages.
I played marine arena 2xs with dSelect. I was giving him tips on marine micro. we played for around 4 hours and i asked him in the first min if he was the ladder leading select. he didnt respond so i was unsure for both sets. I felt a little silly giving him so many tips. we won both times
recently ZenexByun responds to all my twitter posts. Byun is recently being super awesome with foreign fans. I have talked to him on Skype for a couple of mins trying to help him with English but me not knowing Korean its a little difficult. Sadly my twitter/Tl/justintv/skype accounts are under my alternate name
I played a custom game with a bunch of TL members but i didnt save the reply and i forget who all i played with.

I was gonna get my SC2-copy signed by July, but i ended up painting him on the finger with my pen :S He gave like a scream and i was so ashamed :D He smiled afterwards though.
I am friends with Sheth on Google + and I may have influenced a future Kings of Tin over twitter. But that is all really. These other stories are so much better
I went to MLG Anaheim and met a bunch of people. TLO, MMA, Alicia, HuK, Day[9], LZgamer, HDstarcraft, Incontrol, Machine, QXC, Sheth, and probably more lol.
I also got to go to the afterparty at fire and ice where everyone was having a great time. Almost took a shot with HuK but the bar was too busy, so we just went outside. I especially enjoyed when Sundance quieted the crowd as if he was going to make a speech, but instead pointed at Day[9] and said, "This guy needs drinks!"
I think he got... a little bit tipsy after that. Or before that. Well, everyone was drinking. All I remember is getting a backrub for a little while from Day[9] (which was quite excellent).
At least I didn't end up in jail though like my buddy lol.
I practiced my ass off after sc2 came out, was a high level Terran player and was entering smalltournaments left and right; in the 3rd round of a 64 player tournament, run by some guy named Fisher who ran several in a row tournaments in a row, I got to play HuK. After pulling off a great 3 Hellion Drop that dropped him to something like 11 Probes and taking a big lead I slowly but surely handed the lead right back to him as I made nervous mistakes(I like to think this, but really he just went straight beastmode) and I lost. He compliment me on the game though and I was so incredibly happy.
A few months later school was kicking my ass so I was playing casually and playing Zerg more often than Terran, maybe 10-15 games a week. When I made it to the 5th round of one of the TL Opens(like #10 or 11 I think, one of the later ones for TSL3 qualifying) and I got to play Socke. The game lasted about 15 minutes before he steamrolled me, I was up 20 food and playing a fairly strong macro game when his army composition and phenomenal army control just wrecked me.
I met Day9 at Gamescom Cologne last year. I remember being very shy and excited and I kept on thinking about how he specially made time for fans to meet him after the casts he was doing. And how he probably doesn't remember faces of 'the crowd'. I happened to be in Cologne with my girlfriend who went slalomskating near the river on the side opposite to the venue. And when the final game was played I walked out and was walking to our meeting point, while looking around to see if I could find her. And at some point I hear a voice say 'Hey man!'. It was ofcourse Day9 right in front of me. I was soooo baffled, didn't know what to say (again). But he broke the ice by saying how he really had to have some food. Then when I was still standing there like some dumb teenage fanboy, he throws a high ten. And it took me some time before my arms realized what to do. In retrospect I was just really glad I didn't leave him hanging.
Grubby follows me on Twitter I've casted Ogogo a few times (BW folks know) HuK won't play a game if I'm in it Sixjax.MajOr stole my bed at Columbus Morrow and ThorZaIN we're chilling in my hotel room at cbus as well dde always wants to SOTIS with me (That counts, right? lol) And finally for now we'll go with, I used to have ban/kick power in op ToT)
Huk read and answered a couple of my questions on his stream. That is about all i have for pro interaction. Planning on going to MLG Providence hoping to meet some of the pros there.
Met a bunch of player at MLG Anaheim. :D Got pictures with qxc, Jinro, sjow, Select, Alicia, and HuK! All of them were very friendly and it was an awesome experience. ^^
When we met TLO, me and my friends were eating in the food court and he was walking by. My friend stopped him and asked if we could get a picture, and he said "only if I can have a bite of your pizza." So we got a picture, and TLO did in fact take some of his pizza. XD
When we met qxc, my friend was talking with him for a bit, and then qxc looked at me and asked "handshake? hug?" And of course, I went with hug~ and he was like "I love hugs!" He seemed like a super nice guy. :D
This is me with HuK! ^^ He's my favorite. Unfortunately didn't get to really talk to him, buuuut I was still super excited about meeting him, lol.
Qxc is my favorite player as he was the guy that got me into watching SC2 in the beta. Been hooked ever since. I was at a small party and met a girl he dated for quite a while. We talked about his special tactics and I was allowed to be in nerd heaven. Then she talked about their sex life. The next morning I felt like I had vicariously slept with qxc. It was the wierdest combination of awkward and starstruck.

I doubt I'll ever get the chance to meet a pro (except Moonglade perhaps), so online interaction is all I'll get. I'm hoping to be matched up against one (especially a Korean) in a tournament sometime, hopefully a TL open. =)
Oh, I think HuK responded to one of my questions when he was in the TeamLiquid chat channel once. That's about it I think. xD
I took a picture with me and oGsMC, I shaked hands with White-Ra at stockholm invitational. Didn't talk with IdrA though, he left too early But there were so many good people there (huk as well) that I didn't even bother asking for autographs from people like sjow/morrow (I'm a huge fan of them both but since they're swedish it's not THAT cool, it's not like MC who is a korean). I was very happy with watching that tournament, it was great! :D Have some good memories from that tournie
I flew out to mlg columbus i meet a lot of people there some my favorites was dan and nick of course and this one. he saw me taking a picture i guess and i just love the look on his face.
Tasteless might have the greatest signature ever. I think it totally reflects his personality 100% lol.
I got up to rank 63 in ladder one time in SC when it was crazy hard to get in top 1k playing ZvZ only haha. Also have asked questions in many streams and have had pretty much all top players etc mention my name answering them ;-D
John The Translator held up the [chicken-scratch] cheerful I submitted through GOMTV forums with "Bring my John" written on it ^^'' The one [also chicken-scratch] I drew for FXO for the GSTL also got featured, so I'm content with that.
Otherwise, not much else I can do to brush with ESPORTS fame ^^''
I came out of my Hotel at the Hilton @ MLG Anaheim to grab a towel. Then Boxer himself came out of his hotel heading towards his match. I didnt have a camera or anything so I just smiled and shook his hand and said "Big Fan, and Good luck".
Doesnt matter that I didnt get a picture, that will be a good memory to keep for awhile. I always adored Boxer since I was very young. Met a lot of other great players too, such as my other hero White-Ra :D.
i got a lot of signatures on my computer case from pros at MLG Anaheim. but the big story is i was standing behind Destiny during one of his games and after the match was over he turned around and shook my hand thanking me for watching him play.
MLG DC after party, hanging out with EG team. Pouring Idra his victory screwdriver. Although I accidentally gave him the one I made for myself (much stronger), so he didn't drink the whole thing.
Was super stoked about being in the hotel room while they recorded the sotg episode to recap the entire event. Incontrol, idra, machine, Tyler, Huk, DJWheat, Slasher, JP... and the random after parties with all the other players and TL staff.
Was pretty epic.
Edit - Was actually pretty interesting, staff members were interested in meeting the players, and players were actually interested in meeting staff.
Funny moment was: Me walking up to some guy I didn't recognize just to be nice and figure out who he was and why he was hanging out with EG (thought he was somebody's friend)...
Me: Hey, are you a player?
Him: Yeah
Me: Cool. What's your name?
Him: LzGamer
Me: HOLY SHIT NICE TO MEET YOU DUDE!! I WATCH YOU STREAM ALL THE TIME!!
Him: Thanks. Who are you?
Me: EvilTeletubby
Him: HOLY SHIT NICE TO MEET YOU!! I LOVE YOUR BANS!!
He's not really a pro, but I have had many many questions and comments answered by Spanishiwa on his stream (I swear 5% of the ppl on streams actually ask intelligent questions, you can totally get noticed if you aren't an idiot)
Met qxc, HuK, Nony, DJ Wheat, JP and Day 9 at MLG DC. There was that long technical difficulty the first day of DC in the early hours and my friend and I had waved at Day 9 earlier that morning, he came over during the downtime and talked with me and my friend for like 10 minutes.. I was so starstruck haha.. my friend got a pic with him doing puppet face :D
During the Stockholm Invitational I met HuK and talked with him for a bit. This was after the MLG where IdrA said HuK couldn't beat him in a real game, so I had Chris promise me that if he won against IdrA, he'd ask in the interview what a real game is. I think he thought that was a funny idea and shook my hand to seal the deal!
Also, I had a chat with Morrow where he confirmed that during the game against MC he did let his third hatch continue building to uphold the VR.
I'm also the one who was the only one to laugh at some joke from 2GD, making him look at me and say something about me laughing like a girl! I believe that was on the stream as well.. ^^
At gadget show live, an back in March in the UK, I got to interview Naniwa, Sjow, Select, Apollo, Bling, Total Biscuit, Khaldor and Odee. With it being my first time around players, I was completely star struck and just watched them play games for ages feeling like a bit of a stalker, watching over their shoulders. When we spoke to Nani, he said "Odee said you guys didn't show up yesterday", and I thought I'd pissed him off. I spoke to Odee after and he explained that Naniwa just says what's on his mind, so I was alright with it.
When it came to the interviews, Naniwa had just won, Sjow had come 5th and was clearly disappointed, and I'd only really just got in to the SC2 scene, so I didn't know a huge amount about SeleCT (If SeleCT ever reads this, I'm sorry <3 ). I asked a few REALLY stupid questions and felt really awkward because I was nervous as hell.
They were all really nice guys, and after the tournament, the computers were free, so I sat down to ladder, and I looked opposite me, and Nani had just sat down to play a bit, I suppose I should have asked for a game. We went to thank the guys for their time, and BlinG joked that they would have coached me if they'd seen me play after I said I was even more nervous playing so close to such good players. (woo go silver me!)
So I missed an opportunity to get training from some of the best players in Europe, but all of them were really nice, and Apollo is a huge troll, distracting the guys during the interview by mooning them and lying on the floor gesturing to SeleCT. My regrets were not interviewing Socke and Hasuobs, again, I'm sorry! <3, and also coming off as a huuuuuge stalker for the weekend, with the last weird thing being seeing Naniwa and Sjow while I was waiting for my bus going in to a shop. Me and my friend asked them for a picture and they said yes which was awesome :D. If anyone wants to see the cringe worthy interviews they're here;
I went to Seoul for my holiday (obviously chosen for the GomTV studios ;-P) and met Tastosis, HuK and Jinro. I didn't have my camera with me when I met HuK and Jinro (fail much?) >:-| but fortunately got it for the end of the sets so i got pics of me and Tastosis. Looks like they need to put out a restraining order LOL, such a geekfan ;-) Got HuK and Jinro's autographs though, and managed to convey Scandinavian support from Norway.
Managed two days at GomTV, it was awesome! Very starstruck ;-)
Ran in to day9 at dreamhack last year, got to talk to him briefly and give him an high 5 and a hug, he is such a nice guy. Also met jinro & mc at the most recent dreamhack, they were all really nice and cared about their fans.
Had a brief in-game chat conversation with HwangSin, but I'll always regret deciding last minute not going to MLG Columbus and then finding out that oGsMC (fav player) was replacing Bomber at the event. T_T
I flew down to WCG qualifiers in Sydney here in Australia and played with some of the best players in south east asia.
On the plane trip home, I was sitting directly behind FXOmOOnGLaDe and talked to him for an entire hour. I got a photo with him at the airport and told him I'd see him at the next WCG event in brisbane! :D
I'd post a picture but school blocks photobucket x.x
I also found I look almost exactly like FXO t_gun and talked to him for a while on TL before my tournament match.
I attended the NASL finals in Ontario as well as MLG anaheim, ended up meeting all the pro's and got pictures and signatures from everyone that I could get a hold of. During the NASL finals my friends and I ended up staying in a room right next to WhiteRa and his buddy, and their room reeked of pot...lol.

im a diamond player, but i got one of my games casted by Wolf and Catspyjamas.
it was at CES, and unfortunately i lost and caused our team to be eliminated, but i still put up a good fight with 15k viewers watching. also i had a lot of my friends watching the stream and message me after.
At MLG Colombus I went up to Liquid`Tyler and Said "Hey Noony, It's noony right?" and he said "yeah" and then I said well Noony, I hope you have a good tournament and once again, good luck Teeler"
I talked to Liquid`Ret @ MLG Dallas 2010 after he just beat LZGamer I said " hey ret that was an awesome game zerg fighting!" he said, "Thanks...." , I proceeded to say, "you're doing great this tournament good luck the rest of the way" he Said, "Thanks but it was just and EG player" lol
At Anaheim a couple friends and I had the privilege of hanging out with not only DjWheat, but Mrs. Wheat as well! We all had a great time, we discussed esports and the Terran hellion bullsh!@t that the Koreans were killing everyone with at MLG. I was amazed at how tall he was! He always looked kinda short next to Day[9], but I'm almost 6' and I was dwarfed by the Wheat. Then i saw Day[9] later, and it all made sense =P
At MLG Columbus, one of the girls in our group was having a wardrobe issue where her jacket kept unzipping itself. All she had on underneath was her underwear. After Idra lost to Thorzain, we ran into him in the lobby outside and asked to take a picture. He agreed, and the girl with the wardrobe issue went to take the pic while we all clustered around grack. Right as she said "cheese," her jacket came undone, and Idra just smirked hilariously.
10 minutes later, her boyfriend came back from the bathroom, and he saw the look on our faces and was like "what?" Lets just say Idra has a new antifan after that XD

Holy crap, my friends and I are all in the background of your picture (which is adorable btw)! I think I remember seeing you there too. ^^;
We met a TON of pros at MLG Anaheim, it was quite awesome. I felt like such a dork asking them to take pictures with me or to sign my mousepad but everyone was really nice. Also my best friend and I gave HuK some banana Laffy Taffy, which he seemed pretty happy about. :3
Oh and once during that weekend I saw TLO and Jinro walking from the Hilton back to the convention center. I waved at them and when TLO waved back I got all embarrassed and hid like a dumbass. But I stopped being a wuss eventually and asked them to take a picture with us. I get so stupidly starstruck...
Didn't have the chance to go an MLG yet, but i've met my favorite protoss twice already. Also a great poker player...that's right...i am talking about the one and only KiWiKaKi. He's a great d00d and really funny too. But unfortunately, LAN tourneys doesnt seem to be a good fit for him...
I met Slush a couple times too...best one was when SC2 just got out...only downside is that he lost to an unknown player to me at the time, AlexCMoi.
Oh and i had the privilege to take a pic with JF...didnt know much about him back in september 2010 when it occured but now that i know who he is and what he represents to this community, i am really glad i met him.
Other names i've had a chance to meet : Ahboxxah, Attero, Fayth, AlexCMoi, Taurent, dde
The common thing about these guys is they're really cool and chill dudes. Not afraid to talk to fans and hang out with us.

OMG that is a sick fucking mousepad. I'm totally copying you when I go to Raleigh this month. :X
Artosis retweeted a tweet of mine on how to do the dishes properly (laptop stuck against the windowsill so I can do dishes and watch GSL at the same time)
MSi celebrated their 25th anniversary here in Philippines. They brought Sen with them as part of the program. Fortunately, we got to handle the part where Sen gets to play the gamers of PH. So yeah, I got to talk with Sen
He might not be the biggest profile in SC2 yet but I met 2GD at a bar a while back ago some time after DH Invitational. We talked over a beer for a while and he is such an awesome person ♥
I sat in the same car as Nazgul once. I was like 13 and really shy but hang out with some guy called Valiant~TCO, he lived rather close to me and invited me to join him to WCG tournament in the Netherlands. Somewhere along the way we stopped in Utrecht to pick up Nazgul (me having no idea who Nazgul actually was) and Victor joined us there
I talked to him from time to time until I think I got carried away a bit in my fanboyism and he blocked me on MSN He asked me to register on TL when it started and I've checked it ever since. Always scared he'd ban me someday :D
I haven't met any pro's IRL or anything, but I remember talking to Kungen in WoW (some swedes or WoW nerds must know what I'm talking about!) once and was really proud that he would actually answer my questions, since I knew he almost always used an addon to block all random messages :D
Working for MLG I've met a lot of the Pros but since I found this thread for HuK's Twitter I'll talk about my run ins with him.
In Anaheim against SjoW i asked him what his veto is and he goes 'I'm not sure ask one of my fan girls' and looks towards the 3 behind him. They seem nervous and don't want to veto a map for him because they don't want to pick a wrong one. Finally some guy says "Veto Testbug" and the girls sort of silently agreed. I go back to HuK and tell him what happened and he's like "Aww man you can't have a guy pick a veto that's bad luck man, so bm". Haha.
I got to ref his match against Ganzi too and him and Ganzi were doing some friendly BM and Ganzi said something like "You cry all the way back to korea" or something and HuK give me this joking look and goes "Ref you see this? I want a technical". It was hilarious.
HuK has one of the best personalities of any pro I've met, it's always fun getting him on one of my stations, especially cuz I play toss.
I played a 4s game with 3 friends - first or second game that we played for our placement matches, and it was against DJ Wheat, Hotbid, Mango, and someone else...and we got beat pretty handily to say the least.
Very minor on streams usually. Got to be camera man for stream watchers while Megumixbear went and made a quesadilla and took care of her niece and newphew for a few minutes. Got CatsPajamas to say And now for the weather on sheth's stream Got my question on Day9 lol so excited for that (day9fanboy)
On August 08 2011 21:56 Cchel42 wrote: I played vVvSepharim and lagged out of the game.
I was so upset ;_;
who...
I played stork[gm] on iCCup ladder at the start of a new season. We were both in D at the time, and he even gave me advice during the game... As he was stomping me. (he had broken english, could have been making fun of my play... idk)
I got my face smashed by HuK in his TLAttack on the European server. Tried to 7-raxx marine allin him, but had a total mental breakdown from the nerves and lost terribly without putting up too much of a fight.
Huk once cussed me hard on stream when i beat him in some reaction test thing about clicking button as soon as the color change (there was a thread were people posted there response), was something like i was fed loads of sugar or some shit. Hated him ever since lol such a faggot.
Met and spoke with Tasteless on several occasions at NASL. At the same event met and took pictures with Day9, MC, July, and IncontroL plus Anna! MC had his semi-game face on and almost seemed bothered with the fact that I wanted an autograph AND a picture! Incontrol, Day9, and July are SUPER good manner. I mean, Sean does all that casting and then sits down at a table for god-knows-how-long meeting god-knows-how-many fans? What a trooper.
Yes, July does feel like teddy bear of some sort. Maybe he gave me props for addressing him in korean but he was the nicest and most receptive of the whole lot.
I got avoided by Artosis all 3 days even though I'm wearing a handsome nerd t-shirt on EACH and every day. Thanks Dan...I'm feelin' the love.
MLG Anaheim my friends and I and a group of people were on the elevator about to go up to our room. Then Day[9] approached the elevator and evaluated the situation and then looked at us and said:
I met Sheth at MLG Columbus. I wasn't sure it was him for the first half of the first day lol. I kept watching him practice over to the left of the venue while I sat on the floor to watch the mainstage. Needless to say I continiusly bumped into him that day, and the following.
He was actually the only pro I was too nervous to ask for an autograph haha. And really I don't know why. He is by far, one of the nicest people ever lol. It was kind of funny because he kept looking at me from time to time during the event. I think he could tell I wanted to ask for an autograph. I really wish that I had.
Other than that I talked to DJWheat for a bit at Columbus as well. Once early in the day when he was telling a group of us where Sean was, and later that night to tell me that Sean was actually sick and left early that night. Although he might have been trolling me both times, it was SO cool to actually meet him
My girlfriend and I were behind Naniwa in the food court in Columbus and he couldn't understand the lady serving the food or something so he was just standing there puzzled and my girlfriend didn't see him I guess and proceeded to walk in front of him and start ordering. I didn't know what he looked like at the time but when I got back in and saw him on stream I lol'd.
Day9 autographed my dollar bill at MLG Dallas. I actually sprinted at him as he was walking backstage to make sure I got to meet him. He then proceeded to pull me backstage with him because he didn't have time to get swarmed by all the other nerds. It was an epic moment.
I had a great experience at MLG Anaheim. I got pictures with Day[9], autographs from all the Koreans, Huk, a picture with Jinro and the like. When I left my hotel on the way to the airport on Monday morning, I thought my awesome experience was all but over. I boarded my small American Airlines aircraft and saw djWHEAT, Jen, and miniWHEAT on the aircraft. I walked towards them looking for my seat and trying not to act like a stupid fan girl at a Jonas Brothers concert. miniWHEAT and Jen were a row in front of djWHEAT because of airline messing up and low and behold who was in my row, djWHEAT himself :D I got to sit next to the man, the myth, and the legend for a three hour plane ride. He was super exhausted and his voice was shot, so I didn't want to bother him, but we talked for a little bit about the weekend and he showed me a picture of him and MVP. Such an awesome dude who took the time to talk to me despite him probably wanting to be alone for awhile.
One of the best experiences of my life. Super cool
I have twice managed to interview GoOdy over skype after a tournament grand final win. It was after a solid 2 days of casting (both times, it was the last 2 polarfluke.co.za tournaments) and he had just won in the final. Im a massive fanboy of his so the first time I was really "stiff" (and no not in that way you dirty pervs :p) the second time was much better as I wasnt so starstruck and managed to loosen up a little bit! Other than that Ive chatted with Kelly Milkies here and there, I talk to ActionJesuz quite a bit on skype. Oh and I have live cast games of VirusBly and VirusSatiini, GoOdy, RGNPheonix, sunwoo (althought it was jinshil playing on his account) and DIMAGA. Im really chuffed about that! I havent met any of them in person yet tho, one day!
I never play Starjeweled but one day i decided to play one game to get the heal achievement and battle.net randomly teams me up with EU pro Happy. I was so nervous and I played like a trainwreck so we lost.. I felt really bad but at the same time happy to play with him.
After I made this thread : http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=178722 I received some supportive PM from Jinro, Incontrol, Day9 and Artosis that really warmed my heart. That was during the second GSL, GimbleB printed some of the artworks for cheering Ret and Jinro. Because of GimbleB awesome skills and kindness, Ret and Jinro both signed the prints and GimbleB sent them to me + a razor mouse that he won with a random contest that happened there. That was the awesomeest experience ever. Progamers and the SC2 community show the best exemple of support and kindness that I rarely witnessed.
EDIT : Oh and I also faced Ret in a 2v2 ladder game. I was playing with one of my very good friend and we were like "OMG do you think it's the real Ret ???" and he told me "no, surely a fan". And I was like "I don't know man, we just reached master, so its possible" he really doubted about it. We end up winning the game and I rushed to the game profile to check if it was the real Ret. And yeah it was him in grand master. We were like omg we so gosu, let's watch the replay. Then we realised he was playing with some random silver dude that totally did shit during all the game... FUCK IT ! I'VE STILL BEATEN RET !!!
Tyler was playing against Sheth in Joshy's Col koth or whatever, and I said something like easy tyler 4-0, and afterwards Sheth pm'd me
"Sheth: In ur face.
Sincerely, Sheth"
then we proceeded to have a convo where I said it was probably just nony's wife etc.
Tyler has responded to my PMs in the past, and HuK has done the same on twitter on and TL. :D.
Here's me and HuK's twitter convo, I was just joking around:
@LorangerChris huk quick question, how do you find time to jerk it in pro houses with all the comps/people in one room? i wanna go pro but..
@Jecker7 circle jerk every sunday night after prayer
Pretty baller lol
EDIT: going through twitter history, also extended conversations with Hwanni, Kennigit, and incontrol + some other pros responding. Sick life, I hope this part of esports never goes away.
I got to play monobattles with day9 twice. Both times I was on the opposing team. Lost the first one (I was so nervous), but won the second one. (I felt bad :<)
Also got to play against whitera's terran on TL Attack, I was so nervous, and I was shaking so much, but he was doing some derpy battlecruiser build, so I was actually able to win, lol, but I was shaking so much I wasn't even able to type out gg before everyone left the game.
Played versus Dimaga in a craftcup and got stomped hard, still an honor to play him ^^ and also I hit Beastyqt in a 4v4 game where our team managed to grab the win. Fun stuff
I've been to Blizzcon, MLG, and NASL and met the pros, but what sticks out most in my mind is the first time I met White-Ra at NASL.
I was in the restroom when WhiteRa suddenly walks in and starts using the urinal next to me. He had a flock of kids follow him into the restroom and were bugging him (while taking a piss) to sign autographs. I told them they should at least wait until he washes his hands to ask, and WhiteRa nodded in agreement to me.
Day[9] running through the entire line waiting to get into NASL, giving high-fives to every single person was also really cool.
I've met InControl, TLO, and QXC at MLG Columbus in July. TLO really is as sweet IRL as he appears to be ^^ Got him to sign my mouse pad. I'm taking good care of it :D
Never met any SC2 guys IRL. I spend a lot of time in IRC and I know a few people that are close to some pros and 'celebrities' though so Ive talked to plenty.
Day9 gave me a little shoutout on his stream once, I've exchanged a few ♥'s with iNcontroL on his facebook wall and talked to him in his stream chat several times, talked with JP in his stream chat once or twice, had Scoots ask me to send him some Maine Lobsters, I've played sotis and monobattles with vilestate (he was tQstate at the time though), hung out in customs with both desrow and kellymilkies (her NA account), and I'm probably missing a few
Also, completely by random coincidence I got matched with Ret's girlfriend on ladder in platinum league, and only knew it was her because she was in masters 2v2 with him. So after the game I asked how she knew him and that's how I found out xD
But that's about it. Most of my interactions are just a result of knowing day9's chat mods since I sit in the quakenet room all day. TotalBuscuit used to hang out in there sometimes, so I'm sure I had quite a few great conversations with him as well hahaha.
Well besides the obvious case of Pro's posting in my threads, I once met Morrow at my friend's hockey practice last winter here in Stockholm... which was very random, appearantly he was a friend of the hockey coach
Oh, and also saw a few during Stockholm Invitational
I went to Dignitas Pro Gamer Search finals and hung out with all the people there: Sjow, BlinG, ODEE, TB, Apollo, Pureball and all the finalists. Was a fun day out.
Last year at MLG Raleigh, I had no idea who Catz was at the time. I was talking to a friend after Tyler beat Catz and I said something along the lines of "Yea Tyler just beat some guy named Catz, I've never heard of him". Later I realized Catz was standing right next to me when i said that...
My bad! Now I know who Catz is and he's a total BADASS. I'm surprised he didn't beat the crap out of me right then and there.
I got on TL Attack! with Sen :D Who ever knew that that bored day browsing Liquipedia and stumbling upon the one base mutalisk opening would pay off so well ^-^
I later told him in chat that I love him, and that he's my favorite player, and he told be that he loves me too ^-^ Yay Sen!
Got to meet all my favorite players at MLG Anaheim recently. Great experience, and everyone there was friendly and inviting. ♥ incontrol especially for signing my plaque even after the rough weekend he had. Waited in line for an hour to meet Day9 but they ushered him away before most of the line could see him.
edit: just realized it says "Liquid HuK" -_- now I have to get it signed by EG HuK!
On August 09 2011 07:27 eNtitY~ wrote: Working for MLG I've met a lot of the Pros but since I found this thread for HuK's Twitter I'll talk about my run ins with him.
LOL OMG. I swear on my life, two of those girls were my best friend and me! That random guy who picked Testbug is our friend. Holy crap. Yeah, we definitely were nervous because we didn't want to pick the wrong map. XD
After receiving coaching from a well known Zerg player, after the lesson was done, I was lucky enough to observe a match with Incontrol against Sheth. I shot the wind with them for a minute. It was nice. Then I felt I outstayed my welcome and left. Not much, but it was fun to watch big time players playing on my screen live.
I played John the translator in a showmatch that DOA casted. I have played itmejp kellymilkies and megumixbear all on ladder. I have played 3v3's on the same team as torch and John. I got just about every pro gamers picture at mlg colombus (except for day9 who basically shot me down). oooooh yeah
I'm fairly good with identifying smurfs and the like but in the game we played (I'm high plat) his build was so insanely good (I 3 gate sentry expanded, he burrow roach pushed with 8 roaches and killed me whilst he took his 3rd) and the 240 apm average made me believe that this indeed was Lim Jae-Duk practising on NA. In no time at all he was put into masters, after of course being very well mannered and patient with his lack of english, we conversed for about 15 minutes before he asked for my email. I don't bother him too much, but in the times we have talked he states every time he is very unhappy with Korea to NA latency.
I can find and upload the replay if anyone wants, he claimed the build was to "burn sentry forcefield" but straight up killed me with some burrow micro t.t
I played Rain in a 1v1 obs on xelnaga caverns, he had 300+apm almost every game, he said he just got a new keyboard and was just breaking it in. He beat everyone so badly it wasn't even funny.
when i sat in the NASL crowd in the front row, I guess when NASL was delayed for 2 hours they just showed the main stage for 2 hours and i just sat there waiting.
I once spoke to Destiny on skype when he was doing that thing on his stream about language. If anybody remembers, I was the British guy. (Hoping there was only one :D)
i said hello to demuslim during his stream..he typed hello back. did the same thing to sheth but i cant remember if sheth said hi to me...insanely nice guy but insanely popular
Me and my buddies were standing around at MLG Dallas this year watching a game, when qxc stole HuKs pillow, and gave it to us and told us to run for it... Haha, we were more or less confused and ended up just giving it back to HuK... But, it was cool regardless... The famous pillow in our grasp!
I went to high school with Iaguz (top SEA player, invited to IEM) before StarCraft 2 even came out =P And I've played against someone who's played against Fenix + Morrow + Thorzain in small tournaments =D Does 2 degrees of separation count? xD
Got to play dApollo on the ladder and he kicked my ass. Whenever i see him casting i remember that he beat me. He is now the only caster that i am not allowed to hate.
My best friend's old high school friend went on a date with day[9]. Appearently, he made a lot of starcraft jokes/puns. "I'll put your tank into seige mode!" was one I remembered
I know some of you guys watch state of the game with DJwheat, and well that guy who asked Hey how are you guys twice and then randomly said his question was my friend he couldn't hear what they were saying and didn't have the common sense to be like "I'm sorry I can't hear you guys". lol
I tried to get in but they ended before they answered my call TT
I got a picture with InControl. He's the nicest guy; I could tell he was so tired and bored after signing autographs and playing at MLG Columbus, but he still took the time to grab a photo with me (I'm the white guy flipping balls).
I've played Darkforce, ActionJesuz (many times) and a few pro terran players in online tournaments... Played dApollo once on ladder. Actually had a 40-50minute game - but he ended up winning Apollo was really mannered considering, I opened with a cannonrush - and he still went gg and everything (after my gg)
I got to play a match with TSLHeart while he was streaming the other week. I'm not very good, but I asked if we could play as he was on the NA server, and we got to play. I got nervous and missed a FF by a hex, and it lost me the game T_T
I probably would have lost anyway, but I'd have rather gone down swinging.
TLO sat in front of me to watch MLG Dallas Finals.
I also bought Day9 a pizza at Dallas, I was getting mine and it was just him me, and JP in line. I turned around to them chatting. Me being shy I didnt want to say anything so I handed the lady my money and said cover his as well, sorry JP..
This got me started thinking about a question. What percentage of players can say that they beat someone who beat someone who beat someone who beat someone etc. who beat a top pro gamer?
Before playhem got 'big' it was just small tounys and only a handful of us played everyday in them and I played slush (Still ROOT at that time I think)
His timings are awkward as fuck and I lost because of it :/ GG's

I really like this thread. I've never seen it before! Anyway, here's my story:
At MLG Columbus, I saw Day9 talking with a literal CROWD of fans-- like there was probably a hundred people crowded around him. He was able to sign a couple of autographs, but then this very determined, official-looking, short blonde woman-- she was probably about 5'3"-- came up to Day9 and told him he had to go back to the cast. Day9, a little startled, very tired, but incredibly professional, apologized to the crowed, and walked brusquely away with the woman. I jogged up to him from behind with my autograph-binder and said, "Hey Day9! I heard back when you were a professional Brood War player you were pretty good at multi-tasking. Do you think you could walk and autograph this for me at the same time?"
Day9, still walking-- me keeping up pace for pace-- took my binder and my pen and looked at me. He said, "Well, it's not going to be neat."
In my nervousness and excitement, I tried to play it cool, chuckling, "That doesn't matter! I don't care if it's neat as long as it's really big!" His signature filled the entire 8x10 page, reading 'Sean Day[9] Plott.' It is the most beautiful signature I've ever seen, and I will forever love Day9 for being so kind and excited for this wonderful game.
Additionally, my friend and I got a picture before MLG Columbus:
I'm the one with the goofy smile on the left.
If you notice the position in which LosirA, MMA, and MC are standing, you'll see that this picture accurately reflects the Champion's Podium of that tournament o.O
I was at MLG Anaheim watching the SlayerS team do some last minute practice before going back to the hotel room.
As they left I just stood there and watched having flashbacks of being a little kid watching YouTube vods of boxer playing and other top Korean pros.
As boxer passed me I remembered a word milkies told me. So I called out Lim Yo-Hwan's pseudonym Boxer. He stopped and turned to me with a great big smile on his face. In that moment I said Thank you (in Korean) for coming to America (in English) and gave a slight bow. He extended his hand and I without thinking about it did the same shaking his hand. In that moment he returned the bow. As he turned and walked away I sat in an almost empty Anaheim convention hall feeling a sensation new to me.
Achieving a dream is something most people never get the pleasure of understanding but on that Friday in July I saw a hint of what it meant to accomplish something of that magnitude. This was on the back of a four month period where I met EG.Idra, Machine, Lzgamer, Incontrol, Demuslim, SirScoots, Quantic.Inka, Gosu.Gatored, QIM.MVP, SlayerS.Ganzi, Alicia,GosuGamers.Lastshadow, Sku and JP Mcdaniel.

I beat TLO on ladder once with 5 gate zeal/sentry ^^
I once played stephano (he was playing terran for fun) I didnt believe it was stephano and kept asking if he was trolling. At the end of the game i asked if he could msg me from his real account. I instantly got 4-5 msgs from different people because he was streaming then i found out it really was him
A cute little story from IPL3's last day. I had a whole metric fuckton of brushes with players, including many hours of Mafia with one Liquid`Sheth, but the most interesting one was when all of the Non-Boxer Slayers Players were all hanging at the bar at the end of the last day, and I meandered down for a bit and hung with people before we all had to go home. So I'm chatting with the Slayers guys and Smix (I think, I was too plastered to remember at that point), and one of them asks if they can touch my hair (for reference, it's a big fluffy afro). I agree, and the moment I do, all of the other Korean players want to get a feel for it too. I'd say I never want to wash my hair again, but that's both creepy AND Unhygenic. :D
I went to Barcraft in Anaheim and tried to get a picture with Nestea but he had to go. So then I got one with WhiteRa, but not before HD ran in front of me to get a picture with him first
Also saw Slasher get his head shaved, it was awesome
Played a few games with pro's back in beta when diamond was the top teir. Never really had the elo since to get top level gamers anymore. played against dayvie and others.
I went to Comicon IEM NY where I met Killer and Top...also right before I met top I hit him on ladder while he was practicing at IEM at the side play area for SC2 which was hillarious....our game was up on one of the smaller screens lol
I am from Croatia and I had a unique opportunity to go see my relatives in America and just to find out that next MLG Anaheim is a 20 mins drive from my aunt's place. I asked my aunt if she could drive me there for at least one day and she agreed. After I came there I was so happy just seeing all pros being there feeling the atmosphere it was truly a nerd dream. As time past I knew I had only few hours left and I went to get some fresh air and guess who I saw Day9! He just came inside. It was so awesome some kind fellow took a photo of us it was truly a memory to remember for me. + Show Spoiler +
And that's not all I got to take pictures and get to talk for a few second with other pros to! Like destiny, qxc, catz and sheth! It was truly awesome and I hope I can go at least once more.
Destiny and me I really like watching his stream. Learned a lot by watching him play plus he is really a funny guy. + Show Spoiler +
Sheth and me! I love sheth he is the man he inspired me to play zerg and he is really kind and awesome. + Show Spoiler +
Catz!! Found him smoking outside if I remember right he just lost so I didn't want to bother him much. + Show Spoiler +
So after meeting so many pros and spending time at MLG I was so happy coming from Croatia I never thought I will be able to go and see such an cool event. Well that's my experience it was the only time I met any pro but it was really awesome and I will remember it for a long time.
Had a short conversation with InControl at MLG Columbus and congratulated him for taking a game off Losira. He is a really cool dude and appreciates his fans.
Later my buddies and I were sitting on a bench in the lobby between matches and I noticed July walking by. I waved (more like flailed) my hand in the air like the July fanboy that I am and he responded with this humongous grin and two big thumbs up. Interacting with July made me so giddy because he was the only pro I followed at all before SC2 besides Boxer.
Saw a lot of Day9 and Idra too, but they were always so swamped with fans wanting autographs and pictures that I made no attempt to interact with them. I swear Day9 could probably verbally issue commands to his huge control groups of fans like they were zealots waiting to 1a for him.

I played(edit: beat! :p) Tasteless like a few days into the Beta. I didn't think it was him, and when I said "Hey Tasteless" he said Artosis was with him, and then I knew it wasn't :/
I played Artosis a few games later and he said "Tasteless says hi." I was like, ehh.. still not sure...
Then, as the game was ending, Artosis argued vehemently about the state of ZvZ and what it would be in the future as well. That's when I knew I had played tasteless and artosis, haha.
I was drunk as fuck at a barcraft when I caught Morrow doing shots with a friend. Long story short I asked him if he "shouldn't win anything soon?" to which he responded that "perhaps we should step outside for a bit?". Good shit.
I was in an elevator with HuK and two TL Mods at DC after HuK took second. I was frozen in nerd-awe while HuK tried to remember where some guy who knew him was from.
Not super huge But i found out that one of my friends and classmates from Highschool happens to be one of the cheesiest Terrans on Ladder. SCDPride. Small world eh? We talk here n there every week
I am lucky enough to be at mlg Anaheim and Blizzcon so I have tons of signatures and pics. (NESTEANESTEANESTEANESTEA) My only run in that was not an intentional encounter was when I was eating dinner at Blizzcon and saw that Painuser was sitting at the table behind me and Gretorp was at the table in front in me.

In Korea, went to a proleague match between SKT and STX (Bisu all-killed), then two days later went to MSL where Bisu, Stork, and Jaedong were playing. Next day went to GSL where Idra and Nada were playing

:D do you have a picture of you? I most definitely talked to you, then.
I don't have one on this computer, but I was the 6'5" guy on the Production crew at Bally's. I was also one of the guys behind the GSTL viewing party with Mr. Chae
I went to IPL 3 and managed to snag Stephano and his signature right before he went on to win the finals. He signed "Go go pink ranger", it was so friggin sweet!
I also wished him luck of course, because he had already put on some amazing games that tournie.
um lets see...Skyped with Kawaiirice over some training thing once... Chatted with Spanishiwa lots of times as I know some mutual people between him and myself... Destiny turns out to be some guy's brother that I know in class, so I've talked to him... Back in Korea, I've met IMMVP, no autograph though...on the street...at a Family Mart...yea...offered to buy him a drink and he just laughed it off, he was getting some snacks from what I can tell.
Ummm...thats it xD I want to meet MMA though, seems like a really chill dude.
Got much too drunk going for drinks with Chill plus many of my sc2 friends down here in calgary. Chill and Bitters now laugh incessantly and don't make me forget it. (Not MrBitters).
I plan on making my brush with sc2 fame less memorable for my moronic antics.
i competed at anaheim and at the MLG afterparty i got to meet boxer/jessica/mma//whitera talking all alone.. no other fans or anyone.. was just me and faith.. also saw MMA, boxer pointed to him after i shook his hand but i was too star struck to realize he wanted me to shake his hand as well.. haha.. i felt kinda bad after that.. but got to shake MVPs hand as welll right before that.. was a good night :D also, i saw shawn (day9) but.. he looked to baller to approach. i couldn't summon up the courage ;D
Generally around the old BW progamers, I get so nervous I don't even end up talking to them X.X. There have been so many events where I was too scared to say hi to NaDa. Probably took me 10+ events before I walked up and said hi! :D

you gave me a fist bump at mlg raleigh, so thank you sir <3
At the end of one of the evenings at MLG Columbus, Day[9] and djWheat came out and I got pictures with them and got to talk with them Also got pictures with Tasteless and Artosis the next morning (profile picture with Artosis and me, sporting their Micro/ Macro shirt)... and most of EG and some other favorite players (Naniwa, Thorzain, TLO, Ret, etc.).
And as I was going back to my room, I ended up riding the elevator with MMA, Losira, July, and MC. Got pictures with them too and shook their hands. It was the only time I wish I had gotten stuck in an elevator. Probably should have pressed the emergency stop button.
Oh yeah, and my room was directly across the hall from my favorite team... Root. (R.I.P. Root.) Got pics with Drewbie, Catz, Kiwikaki, and Slush too
On my way to the GOMtv Studio on tuesday, me and my friends ran into Tasteless (who were chatting up two korean girls, ofc) outside Pizza School. Asked if he knew where the studio was to which he replied: "Yeah, actually I just so happen to do" and smiled. He told us the way and we all shook his hand, he seems so nice
I dont know if this counts, but back in beta KawaiiRice had a popular stream, which I watched a lot. I became freinds with a few of his mods, and got to play a few games vs Kawaii, during one of these I get a message saying the streams wants me to go mothership, so i switch into stargate and do it, then get owned by hydra because i had no units (he was off raceing because i was terrible). Also I once got told to kill myslef by someone on his skype call.
One time when Stephano was streaming he brought up his chat and you could see my name on the chat on his screen. Proudest moment of my entire life even though it means nothing to anyone besides me
HuK replied to a tweet of mine kinda recently, Turned a shitty day into a great one at work (for any pros reading this, things like that while time consuming as a mo' fuggah, really, REALLY make your fans' day/week/month.).
Hoping to meet a bunch of people at providence tomorrow. Destiny/Losira are my goals for the QIM meet and greet. 'Course I'm one of those nerds who gets freaked out talking to people, so I'll be content getting a shirt.
I live in the same city as the the Plott brothers grew up in and I'm chatting with a guy from around here who drank with Rekrul on a few occasions in Korea.
At MLG Dallas 2010 I was scheduled to play a match with TLO. Too bad I was also participating in the Super Smash Bros Brawl tournament (not advisable to play in two tournaments). My friend came and told me they were calling me, when I got there I had been disqualified. I saw that TLO was int he player area, which they wouldn't let me in, on facebook. So I messaged him on facebook from my iPhone hoping he would see it. He probably just ignored it, so I yelled out Dario! He came over, and I said I was supposed to play you, anyway we could play it out anyways? He asked the ref, and the ref said okay, and they were calling the next matches. Tyler came around and asked TLO for the keyboard, and I was denied my rematch. I've always wanted to play him since. Talked to him in his chat on stream when he was responding to ensure he saw it to try and set it up, sent him a polite message on Teamliquid. Always been ignored Changed my image of TLO forever really, he just kinda ignores me all around, I got upset at first, but he's just really busy so I forgive him now!
At MLG Anaheim 2011 I got to play against Tristan, Day[9]'s friend. The first match I was so overwhelmed, mind-gaming myself out that I just played like I was in bronze. The next game I counterpicked Xel'naga and I had prepared a strategy for Xel'naga ZvP over the week. I had trouble in ZvP and I felt that if I came up witha specific strategy for one map, I could probably swing the set back in my favor no matter what. I roach ling all'ined a little modified from what is normal, so it hides what it is at a specific time. It works great against 3 gate expand. He 3 gate expanded, and built a forge instantly after nexus, so it was even STRONGER what I was doing. Long story short I made horrible decisions with my unit control, and I forgot to put the drones back on gas after the initial round of lings to continue making roaches with all my gas, and drones with the last of the minerals to transition into the mid-game somewhat. The point of the build is to force the nexus down, and head into the mid game with 2 bases vs 1 with a decent amount of drones and lots of units. I had control problems, and instead of requesting a pause and fixing my mouse, I played through it and got more frustrated, and just crumbled. I at one time killed all his sentries, could have destoyed his nexus but kept running into his mineral line, and went into his base. I had him, I so had him, and I just made horrible decisions. After that I could barely play, and still havent' full recovered, I am still mad at myself after all this time for playing so bad. Almost took a game off of him. I was so mad about losing the way I did, I held my head down and wanted to cry about it. I then said good game and shook his hand, and he looked shooken up because of my reaction to losing I think.
Before that I had played VPSyckness (on CheckSix now) (ZvZ) and he was a super nice guy. Had a somewhat weird first game where I was poised to make a comeback, but made some crucial mistakes, got a sick fungal off that got like the maximum amount of roaches perma-fungaled in range of 4 spines with no other units left. The next game was on metalopolis and we spawned close air. I made my gas geyser first, and made my pool barely before him, with this in mind I was going to go ling baneling attack mirroring his expansion timing into roaches. Since I was only slightly behind economically, a trivial amount due to copying him to that point, I would have been fine going into roaches. I sent my ling baneling attack out, droning behind it and building a roach warren almost finished. My banelings finished morphing when his just started. I botched sending them to the mains mineral line properly and didn't do enough damage only got like 6-8 drones, but it still put me ahead. I lost most my lings instead of running them back. I had forgotten to make roaches behind that, so when he attacked I didn't have the necessary defenses to hold off the semi-allinish counter attack. I say semi-allinish since I was ahead in drones at that point and he made a round of lings to counter attack instead of redroning. I felt really bad, since I knew my strategies were inches ahead of him in timing, my execution of the build was great, just my control and forgetting to build roaches had me lose.

One time I tried to talk to Day[9] at Blizzcon. He blew me off. Damn 1%'er
I have viOlet on Skype and Real ID, I chat with him daily. He knows me by name and makes me feel like a boss. <3 Hwanni. I also chat with Machine regularly on Bnet and occasionally on Skype. Bryce so nice.
Oh yeah, I'm also good friends with Orb and Diamond and all the ESV guys. So semi famous ppl as well.
At DreamHack Summer this I finally got to meet my old hero from WC3, Moon. We talked a lot (despite the sort-of language barrier) and he signed my old MYM shirt and took pictures.
It felt especially good since I had previously wanted to meet him @ WCG 2008 (the one where he ended 2nd - lol blademaster -_-) but couldn't attend in the end because my flight got cancelled.
Hmm all that I can think of is that one time I posted a question on Spanishiwa's stream chat right before he started a game, and he then discussed my idea for the first half of that game. I felt like a total baller and later told my sc2 buddies at school and they couldn't believe it.
Not bad for someone that isn't involved that much and would rather watch from the sidelines. ^^ Although I definitly plan on going to a MLG someday.
I've played oGsTheSTC on the NA ladder when his account was diamond before his IPL3 match against White Ra. He ended up using the same build against me as he did the first game in that series and I only lasted 2 min less than White Ra so I consider that a success.
I also went to MLG Orlando and met all the pros there who were all super nice and I got pics with MC and White Ra.
I also played Catz because he sometimes plays some offrace games with the guys from UF.
I ran into Dimaga after Blizzcon at the airport, and we just chilled while waiting for our flights. What an incredible down to earth guy. My favorite non-korean bar none.

he does indeed seem like a very friendly person
I should aspire to be more like him, I find most fans to be kind of annoying (not all of them obviously, but when they just barge into a conversation.... it's kinda weird)
Went into a StarBattle lobby, then a player by the name of Liquid`TLO appeared to be joining the lobby. Chat went ablaze with "FAKE?" "REAL!?" "IS THIS THE REAL TLO???"
I once played against ret in 3v3. I even killed his lair with banshees while my teammates kill his natural with lings, then we all died to counter attack :D
Back at MLG Columbus, my friends and I were standing out in the lobby waiting for my brother to drive the van up to the door because it was raining. A few guys went off to the bathroom, and the rest of us were standing around talking. We saw Idra walking by looking kind of mopey, this was shortly after he lost to Thorzain on the main stage ruining his perfect tournament up to that point. We waved him over and asked if we could take a picture with him, he said he would, and we grabbed our obilgatory "release the gracken" sign and lined up together. The girlfriend of one of the guys who had gone off to the bathroom volunteered to take the picture, and she stood in front of us and said "1...2..."
And then her jacket zipper slid open and revealed rather more of her than she would have liked in front of Idra. We got a smile out of him as the picture was taken.
My brush with anybody famous has so far only been at MLG's. I live in Raleigh, so I have attended the last two MLGs that have been held here. The MLG Raleigh in 2010 was the first time SC2 was included in the ProCircuit, and lets just say, they had not really figured out how to set up the Starcraft2 area correctly. So, my friends and I would get to the venue early and stake out a spot next to the player stations. Now, the divider between the players and the audience was literally at the edge of the table, so you were within an arm's length away from all of the players (I am sure they absolutely hated those playing conditions). So, we got to watch the top players right over their shoulders. My friends and I also got Husky to sign a whole bunch of stuff (tablet, giant Starcraft 2 box, multiple laptops, etc. lol). Later that event my friend got HuK to sign a shirt, and I handed HuK the sharpie and stood a foot away from him (ahhh! @_@ xD lol )
The last brush with fame I had was at this past MLG Raleigh. I was playing at station 32 in the open bracket, and my match was running long. Tyler ended up watching my last game, and then took my place at the station (as I lost, ;_; ). I got to wish him luck before leaving the player area. I got mentioned on the stream by Husky, but then Day[9] completely ignored what he said and proceeded to go into one of his stories LOL.
Nothing big or overly exciting, but I have really enjoyed the experiences.
* Getting to play with close to all of iS players from my work for the team * Talking to Puma and Rain on Skype chat. It's broken English but SO funny yet understandable at same time! Puma should stop listening to InControl or he's gonna keep teaching him wrong words for occasions, such a troll.
*Puma totally chooses the wrong word* Me: Where'd you learn that? Puma: InControl told me it means ...
* NASL event. Talking to MC. Having him translate some things into Korean for Puma I think. Probably tacky for me to ask runner-up to assist in congratulating the winner. * NASL afterparty. HasuObs & WhiteRa drunk me under the table. Europeans man. Before in NASL or might've been at party, meeting Kevin Lin, Mr. Twitch.Tv dude. * MLG Anaheim afterparty. Twitch TV guys, rest of iS team (at that point) in person. * MLG Anaheim lunch, all the FXO guys. Shout out to tgun & raelcun. Unstable leaving after one bite of a huge delicious chocolate cake.
It's really nice to meet the players you see stream and win events. Wasn't shell shocked like an uber-fan might because of what my current job entails (Non-ESPORTS job). Just being nice and hospitable with people that could beat me SC2 with my eyes closed.
I beat vVvWaffles in a 1v1... I was Gold at the time. ROFL. I played him because I met him in a chat channel and we have the same name (I'm wafflez) so I was like "battle of the waffles??" then we did... And I played the best game of my life and won in 14 minutes. It was ridiculous.
Also I had a ten minute conversation about life and computer games with vileIllusion, he was ReVillusion at the time, on his stream. pretty baus.
Plus I ran into Tgun on the street in sydney, and I was like OH SHIT IT'S TGUN to my friend and then he turned around and was like "hey mate, heard of me have you??" Then I got a signature.
At NASL season 1 on day 2 during the lunch break, a friend of mine and I went to subway to get food. On our way back, his girlfriend is like "Pro gamer behind you guys" I turn around and I instantly recognized him as Boxer. I wasn't sure what to do so I just said "fuck it" and I grabbed my sc2 box and my sharpee and ran up to him and asked if he would sign my box. He said ok and then took a picture with us. Great guy...almost the top highlight from that weekend.
The best part of the weekend was when Incontrol invited the 3 of us to dinner. So I got to eat at Outback with him, Anna, Moletrap and ghostclaw. Was definitely a meal I will not forget.
NASL Season 2 finals are on my birthday this year and I've already got my room and tickets booked. Can't wait to see what surprises are in store for me this time around.
I was at MLG Anaheim and some fan was talking to Huk. I walked up to them, and Huk started to pull his wallet out of his pocket for some reason. A quarter fell out, and the fan picked it up. He started to hand it to Huk, then Huk told him he could keep it, and laughed. I then said "give it to me instead." The guy said, "why?" and I responded, "Iono, just do it."
I eventually spent that quarter. I thought it was funny. I'm usually a pretty nice guy but acted odd at that moment. Must have been the huk aura.
I'm not sure if I've already said this, but one time when demuslim was streaming and doing a q/a, I asked him "what's the biggest poo you've ever done?". He was reading the questions aloud as he went through, so when he got to mine he said "what's the biggest - oh that's just stupid" (or something along those lines). I felt bad afterwards though
I once watched a pro-gamers stream... Just kidding, I'm a little far away from all the cool stuff. Although I was once signed up in a tournament to play mouz.HasuObs, but he didn't pitch, so I got a walk over ^_^ aw yeah, does that count?
Got promoted from Platinum to Diamond on my season 2 placement match. Whose the first person I run into but ZenexHack (i think he was code a for 10 seconds but i might be wrong). He was streaming on NA then.
Oh one more thing. Friday nights is always the best for meeting pro players and casters. I learned that Mr. Bitter is ridiculously handsome up close. Eventually Day9 came out, and I didn't have to wait for hours like ppl do on Sat and Sun. He was a nice enough guy, really tall and skinnier than he looks. Honestly though he didn't seem as nice as InControl or Mr. Bitter believe it or not. My cute asian friend gave him a tin of cookies and he put it on the ground and then rested his foot on it :S
However, later my roommate and I met Gretorp, and let me just say, I have never been more surprised. As a purchaser of NASL season one, I thought gretorp was a lame, boring, good for nothing piece of shit. BUT HOLY FUCKING SHIT.
GRETORP IS AN AWESOME PERSON!!! He is HILARIOUS. I was ragging on him for being filipino (he's actually not, but it's a pet peeve) and he was making fun of me for being the pastiest Mexican he's ever seen. We had a great time chatting it up. We also talked about the gretorp upgrades (they make alot of sense) and he bitchslapped us for saying he's in masters (actually GM). He talked to us for a good while, he was excited about having just been at EVO in las vegas. Eventually we left him because we didn't want to push our luck.
Then, day of the finals, during Boxer Vs Rain on metalopolis, I see gretorp looking around for a seat. I give him a seat next to my cute asian friend. He sits and has a good time, and then her BF shows up. Gretorp leaves even though I tell him it's ok. hahahaha
Not SCII, but a friend of mine submitted a BW replay to Day[9] back when he did BW casts on the daily, and I was an obs in the game, telling both players to macro, spend their money, etc. I believe Day[9] said something along the lines of "I love this guy, just screaming 'macro.' He should be in every game."

Oh yeah, NASL heard some Koreans were askin about where In 'n' Out was (hamburger place). Later on, saw JulyZerg and a couple friends walkin that way. Koreans love In 'n Out!

No but seriously I haven't done anything(or anyone) special in SC2 now that I came to think about it. I can stroke my ego and get it bigger in other ways even though it's hard.
I was at Charles de Gaulle airport on the 24th(?) of October. My family had come over to visit and I was just taking them back to the airport. After a huge hassle with overbooked flights and broken check in machines, I finally saw my family off and start walking back to the Metro station inside the airport and I see this young Korean nerd baller walking passed. It takes me about ten seconds to realize it was MKP with another guy who I didn't get a good look at. I decide to turn around and say hi, let him know I'm a big fan, but after the ten seconds it took me to recognize him, he was already lost in the crow T_T. Yeah, if any of you have not been in an airport the size of CDG, it's always that ridiculously packed with people. My brush was sad and short, but I wasn't really expecting to see any awesome SC II Pros just going to the airport so win anyway!
BTW that was right after ESWC was held here in Paris so I am like 99.999% certain it was him, even if I didn't get a chance to talk to him.
I went to the Gadget show in the UK earlier this year, and literally the day before I saw that there was an SC2 tournament to be played there. I didn't really look at the details, was just aware of it. On the drive up, I was telling my friends about SC2, what it's like, how there are commentators, etc, and they couldn't believe that sort of thing would happen around a video game?! Anyway, get to the Gadget show and at the part we entered, the SC2 tournament was being played right there. It was weird, a row of alienware PC's (5 on each side), with the area taped off, and sitting there chatting is Socke, Sjow, Select, Naniwa, and I think Mana and Hasuobs might've been there? At the time, I was a big Socke fan (as Protoss player) so I must admit to being a bit obsessed with him, but Select immediatly caught my eyes because his hands were so damn fast. My friend Tina who's never played games in her life just couldn't believe what she was seeing, even though she couldnt understand at all what he was doing I had a little chat with Sjow (super friendly), as Socke had gone afk, and his account was logged in - I joked with Sjow asking him if he thought Socke would notice if I did a quick ladder game on his account? Ended up watching quite a few games (my friends got bored pretty quick), and got to say grats to Socke after he beat Sjow in one round. I felt a bit bad for them, you had all these top players but there was almost no interest in the SC2. I felt like a real fan boy, watching the play up close like that. My one regret was at the time I didn't really know who Naniwa was (he's become one of my favorite players since), and I think he ended up winning the event. I would love to have watched him play over his shoulder but never got the chance. Anyway, was a very cool experience to see them play up close like that.
I was in a game with Sheth and I think Minigun for about 10 seconds.
It was during the Shethtiny drive, and they were playing the Micro Tourney map... I joined, and I guess that someone they wanted in didn't get in, so they quit.

:D do you have a picture of you? I most definitely talked to you, then.
I don't have one on this computer, but I was the 6'5" guy on the Production crew at Bally's. I was also one of the guys behind the GSTL viewing party with Mr. Chae
Oh, cool, then I definitely remember you. I was the guy with the afro running back and forth during the BW showmatches. I was wearing a rather bright teal Proleague T-shirt during it.
Liquid was at the same hotel that I was, so on day2 for example I was on the same bus as haypro, and I saw Sheth on Friday morning but just was not 100% sure if it was him or a fan so i kinda did a double take. Also saw Jinro in the elevator friday, and outside the venue a few times. Saw Tyler knock on the door right next to my room Sunday morning. One of the people who shared the hotel with me said hi there. Few other misc spottings around the hotel.
Shook hands and told Incontrol that I loved him when I got into the venue on Friday morning. When open bracket was starting he signed my shirt while waiting to hear his name get called.
I spoke briefly with Tastosis when I got my hoodie signed, got to thank them for getting me into Starcraft as something more than doing UMS games and tower D, and how they brought a great joy to my life. I also saw Tasteless outside having a smoke once, but he was on camera and I did not want to bother him.
Huk passed directly in front of me when I was in line to get Leenocks signature after huk lost I was wearing my protoss shirt and said sorry as he passed, but he was definately not in the mood for anyone at that point.
There were a ton more, the pros really do go out into the crowd and meet the fans at these events.
Once, Artosis was casting a GSL game and some terran made a bunch of ravens. Tasteless called them a flock I think, then Artosis corrected him and called them a murder. Between games I sent him a tweet and told him that a group of ravens is called an unkindness. Before the next game started, Artosis told Tasteless on the stream that it was actually an unkindness and that he was wrong in calling it a murder. Call me a nerd, but I loved it
I've often been a picky bastard when wanting to talk to koreans on the KR server, but i've talked to Bomber and beaten him when he was my favourite player!!.. (he didn't play serious obviously) and TheBest, also offering TheBest my NA smurf for the NASL qualifier he played in (TotesMcGee). Played Squirtle's offrace and Mvp's offrace (he was random), won vs squirtle and got destroyed my Mvp's protoss . Also got a game off SaSe! As a SEA player this can be seen as pretty big haha.
On streams i've vsed a lot of people. In fact, the last 3 first games on NA of the day i vsed HongUnPrime on stream. Needless to say i rolled over and got owned by a lot of carriers. I've also vsed Dimaga, IdrA, Sheth, Stephano among other on stream (... zerg heroes), managing to take games off of Dimaga and Sheth, and sheth is really damn manner. My friend who was watching the stream told me he complimented my ZvZ.
Oh, and got owned 3-0 by MarineKing in a SEA Invitational tourney. I said 'sa rang hae' and he made sure to me he was not a homosexual.
Sorry for the bragish post, the memories kept coming back n_n.
Note: i think we should all finish our posts with "whats yours?"
my brush with sc2 fame is, i made a blog about becoming a progamer, then i did a job hunt used TL advice of newspapers is best place to look, found a job mentioned why i wanted the money "buy a pc and become sc2 progamer" the interviewer knew of sc, and so i got a call to work there, first day of training and i didnt go,
passed up a 12$hour job + commission and a new pc to become an sc2 pro, thats my brush
Destiny once banned me by mistake on stream, he quickly noticed and said "oops" and unbanned. And also there was once he forgot about getting hive tech and I reminded him.
I played a 4v4 with slayers_golden before, I managed to kill off some lings of his :D I also played a 4v4 with kellymilkies but she never told me if she is the real one
I was a MLG Raleigh attendee (If you watched the stream, I was the guy with the 10' long ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ banner) I got to meet quite a few players, I even got to have a pretty long conversation with Ret, Sheth, and HayprO about Zerg. I'd say I shook hands with just about every famous player there, and it was a surreal experience.
I was also lucky enough to be one of the staff flown out to IPL 3. While I was there I got to have drinks with quite a few players, I got to play against White-Ra once while he was at the Playhem booth. I was also the only white guy in the staff outside when the SlayerS limo arrived. I got my picture with BoxeR which was really cool for me, and I watched the finals with Ryung and ThorZain. I was in the elevator with Stephano after his victory, it was hilarious to see everyone staring at the guy walking through the casino with a giant check. I proceeded to stay up all night in the Liquid lounge with Hot_Bid, Orb, intrigue, and the rest of the guys there playing Mafia. My shuttle back to the airport featured my second long encounter with Ret.
I got autographs from so many people at Providence. I didn't get Huk's even tho he walked RIGHT NEXT TO ME. I didnt have my mouse pad with me for him top sign so I left him alone =_=

The next day, I had just won a match and I was waiting for another, when my girlfriend calls and is going through some family drama. I go out to the lunch area and sit down to talk to her, pretty serious conversation. A couple minutes into it and Sheth stops by and asks if he minds if he sits at my table. I mumble approval and something about him being one of my favorite streamers, but I was just too distracted to actually be able to talk to him, especially since I wanted to ask about the reaper/bunker opening ThisIsJimmy beat me with the day before.
Eventually the conversation got too personal and I stepped away without saying goodbye, and then I realized that I left my half-empty dr pepper on the table like an asshole.

So nuts on that.
Wow i am really sorry that your girlfriend was having trouble with things, that seems like the worst kind of timing and luck. Life is funny that way but after all of that i hope you get another chance to meet and talk with Sheth he dose seem to be a really cool guy.
went to i44 with friends for cod4.. after studying the schedule entered us all in for sc2 instead.. We went out pretty much without wins (except me ;D) but made friends with some very friendly masters players and later got sigs off WhiteRa and Stephano.... today i turned up at the station to get home and bumped into WhiteRa again - the guy is such a legend
the involvement of sc2 made this tourny so much more entertaining i hope it becomes a regular even with a small pot
Friend and I were completely drunk at mlg anaheim, were asked to, "stop harassing the players," after yelling at Tyler for a good minute trying to get his attention.
played against djwheat and demuslim 2v2 on kings of tin when wacksteven was fixing his internets. they double 8pooled and my teammate couldnt wall off but i almost held with speedlings ... my apm was higher than demuslims though LOLOLOL... love him
When I was at Dreamhack Summer with two of my friends (1 of them celebrates new year with ThorZaINs family etc so they know each other). Basically, we were in the tent where Day9 and Apollo were casting the games and sat down on a bench talking to ThorZaIN, MaNa was there too. Basically whole Liquid walks in and they sit down next to us and we were watching the games with them haha.. Was pretty cool :D...
I walked with Destiny as he told me how gay hellions were "Hellions are fucking gay as shit!!!! I mean, hellions are easy to defend, but it's like you are standing in a room and you have to hold your hand up on your face but if you let it down JUST ONCE someone comes into the room and kicks you in the balls. It's easy to do but the moment you screw up it's like getting kicked in the balls." I also ate dinner with vileHasHe, DdoRo, Flo, State, Hawk, and Illusion. I hugged MKP, and got my shirt sign by him and White - Ra. I bought Team EG dinner at Raleigh (handed the money to Greg) Got raped in the open bracket by iSTime at Orlando. Got my mousepad signed by NaDa and other koreans. Got called a sick nerd baller by Gretorp. Met Artosis and Tasteless and Day[9]. I got to stand in line with, Jinro, Haypro, Nazgul, Ret and HuK and called HayprO "banjo" as HayprO cracks up and Jinro rolls his eyes. That's it for now I think :o
I went to MLG Providence and I got a lot of autographs/got to meet people, but the best story by far involves HuK. He kicked me out of my seat because I was in VIP seats, he gave me $40 and an autograph. Good trade IMO. Some people would've just given the seats up because it's HuK.
So, this doesn't have anything to do with SC2, but thats okay. It's a very famous pro gamer, that should be good enough.
I used to live near Dallas, TX, when i played counter-strike, and would go to most of the CPL events. I once got on an elevator at the Gaylord Texan hotel (where the event was held) and as the door was closing, a hand came into the elevator doors and stopped it from closing. Next, none other than Ksharp walked into the elevator and as he hopped on board the elevator his hand brushed against my butt.
Now that I look back on it, I wish that I had looked at him and said, "I'm so posting this on gotfrag."
I met ZenexLife on the ladder the other day when he was smurfing on NA as terran with a diamond account. I almost killed him with a baneling/roach all in that put me ahead but he just out macroed me so damn hard and I died in 3-4 minutes after my attacking ended.
I never was to an "esport" event and here we don't really have to many pro gamers walking around, tho i talked to some in brief conversation at the begging of ladder games when i had the luck to meet one, also was surprised by few things:- huk did not knew how to make the heart with ctrl 3 -French pro gamer know how to speak English + Show Spoiler +
totally not troll
-A lot of the ones from the non-top teams that don't care about PR n'shit ( i could only guess most of the "important" pro gamers do cuz they have streams open when the ladder ) will act like asses Edit: also meet Tails on EU in a playhem shortly after his wins in Gstl and was able to congratz him :D
You know how when Artosis used to get DT dropped all his SCVs would go everywhere, his entire 3 control group army would get clumped up trying to go up his ramp without lifting the barracks in his wall-in, his main command center would instantly lift even though the scan attached to it was his only form of detection?
I took Artosis to a Korean night club for the first time.
So the waiter shuttles in a girl next to him. He was completely unable to detect her. Only after she attacks him by says "Anyung?" (Hello?) does he realize she's in his base and he has to deal with it. He panics and tries to grab his drink but instead bumps it with his hand and it falls and shatters on the ground. Before he can even react she laughs, pre-emptively GG's, and leaves the game.
I played with Ret's GF, Pandii because she was a friend of one of my clan mates. I also totally facerolled GoSuDDE one time..... in Smashcraft. And when I was playing on ladder with my offrace smurf (I was learning terran), I played a dude named oGsVINES, who I thought was a smurf impersonating an oGs player (I was a silver lvl terran at the time). Well, he was good enough to smash a marine scv all-in, and a friend, same one that was friends with Pandii, told me that oGsVINES is MC's US account. It was his second placement match T_T.

I went to MLG providence and made it to R5 of LB, one of my games was casted by Tumba, then I lost to strifecro 2-0 but Anna was standing behind him, I think she was a plant.
Was lucky enough to attend the recent i44 (which was lucky enough to be hosting the IPL UK Quals). Stood and watched another SC2 match with WhiteRa for a while, as well as passing congratulations to Stephano (winner of the tournament!) as he walked past!
Although I didn't get to actually meet him, Grubby was also in attendance. After following the guy for so many years (big WC3 fan!) it was awesome to be just a few feet away, able to watch him play. Great event to experience!
I got to kind of talk to Ganzi after he completely demolished me and just massacred my entire base in the MLG Open Bracket I sat next SlayerSBoxeR and the SlayerS clan during warm-up session and it was Glorious

I have the opportunity to work with Team Acer and meet great players quite regularly. It's a dream. I'll post some pictures if I can find them but I have had opportunities to meet Nerchio, Osho and Paranoid and live with them for a short time.
One of the highlights of my career at Acer was going to my first LAN event under them and helping White-Ra and Strelok (along with Nerchio) find the supermarket and buy a toothbrush in Warsaw at the European Battle.net Invitational :D Also, Nerchio and I ran into MaNa at the airport while we were waiting for our flight to Cologne in Gdansk, Poland.
There's of course a plethora more players I have chatted to for a short while however nothing SO memborable. I'll post some pictures if I can find them

Well, MKP is one of the more effeminate players. but he's a cool dude, He and Losira and along really well. Despite the beat down MKP gave Losira early in the tournament.
At IEM 2010 when Day9 was finished casting we all ran up to him and he was yelling and crying that he was going to be late to the airport so we were all like "fuck that, sign my badge!" and we surrounded him and threatened him with weapons and then I shoved my pass in his face and i was all like "Day9, sign my badge punk!" and he was all like "Ok please don't hurt me"..
tl;dr We pretty much forced Day9 into signing our shit not even caring that he would miss his flight.
Artosis used my bands music for one of his videos. I believe it was the one about his trip to Taiwan. I was suuuuper stoked when he pm'd me. It was fantastic and I had some serious nerd chills lol
I posted on TLO's facebook page about how much he inspired me in SC2...he replied and sent me an exclusive replay pack ^^ other than that I've never met any pros....no big tournaments anywhere near south africa and its way to expensive for my poor ass family to send me to a big SC2 lan :/ but my hope is that one day when i have enough money il go and meet ALL the famous sc2 players..in particular day {9} as he seems to be the funniest person ever and such a genuinely nice guy :D what about you guys?

You must admit thought that would be a good tactic to use good sir. Nice run in the LB!

At BlizzCon 2011 Nestea was just done with a game with an unknown Terran player within that Progaming Area. He got up for a walk or something. I said "Nestea!" but I expected that he didn't hear me (it was quite loud and I didn't exactly yell). He stopped and turned around to look at me. I was fucking star struck. I couldn't even move and did not know what to say. I offered him my keyboard bag and then my pen without even saying anything. I was so fucking nervous when he was signing my keyboard bag. I did not even move a centimeter. He handed it back when he was done signing it. I took it from him and bowed. He walked away. I was the only one that got his autograph during that moment. I couldn't even believe it.
At MLG Orlando I got in the autograph line for Tastosis but never made it to the end of it. Later in the day Day9 husky and friends were up to the plate, I got in line ASAP.
I stood in the line for awhile and god more nervous and nervous everytime dmac called shorter and shorter times. At one time he said 5 minutes and 20 minutes later said 5 minutes again.
Eventually I was getting closer and closer it looked so close, but just then dmac gives a startling revelation: After Huk Vs. STC Game 1(main stage match) was over day9's time will be over. As most of you know that game was a cheesy little game that didn't last long. So once dmac said that Day9 went into speed mode and things got tenser and tenser as I got closer and closer to day9.
Coming all this way I didn't want to be denied tastosis AND day9. As I got about 5 people from day9 it became obvious that it was about to end. the people in line tried blocking dmac's view of the game so he didn't see the GG. Although right when i was the next person in line to get that awesome signature Dmac calls the time.
BUT Day9 being the baller he is points to me and says "I'll take this last fine gentleman right here!" I go up to him he signs my shit, gives me a handshake then runs off into the sunset highfiving the line that missed the signing attempt.

haha yeah I'm not complaining it was still GG's and strifecro was nice. thanks for casting me not sure if you have it but do you have the VOD? Not sure if you guys saved those matches.
One time I went on JTV and saw CombatEX streaming. I went on to see what he was like. I immediately thought of destiny when I heard him. So I typed in chat, "He reminds me of Destiny." he shortly after read it on his stream. :D
I haven't been to a live event yet, but I've meet Dignitas.Apollo on 2v2 ladder (2-0'd his team booyah), Empire.Kas on ladder, Empire.Beastieqt in a tournament and MrBitter on ladder aswell in games. Also yesterday I was the practice dummy of a new show (From A to Zerg) where the host talked strategy with EGStrifeCro meanwhile EGStrifeCro was playing verses me, so I've met him aswell now (seperated that last one because I though it was kinda cool).
If anyone is interested in watching, especially zerg players could get some valuable information, the from a to zerg vod you can find here.
Most of my experiences were at MLG Providence 2011:
On Friday, I got Kiwikaki's signature and talked to him about his upcoming bracket that included MMA and DongRaeGu. I then ran into him at the food court on Sunday and congratulated him on his game 1 against DRG. Did you know about that standard 14 minute warp gate research time?
I went to the Team Dignitas meet and greet on Saturday and got a signature from Sjow and a picture with Select. I then gushed like the fanboy I am about how much I liked Select and embarrassed him.
During Select vs Haypro on Sunday, I spoke with Ret and his girlfriend about how Haypro was doing. At that point, Select was up 1-0.
I've gotten 2 PMs from Incontrol =)
My buddy Fallen is in the Complexity Academy. I've known him since kindergarten ^_^
I'm pretty happy with all my brushes with SC2 fame so far hehe
At MLG Providence 2011, I got there as it started on Friday, which meant I had to stand. A crowd was sort of standing along the edges of the VIP section (which was empty) so that's where I headed. I'm not the tallest individual, but, at 6'1" I'm taller than most. With my brown leather "cowboy" hat I cut a pretty striking figure. In any case, I noticed a short guy in a red hoodie being admitted into the VIP section. I glanced at him and it took me a moment to realize it was HuK. He wandered around the section (still empty, aside from him) for a little bit, before settling on a couch behind me, though towards the back. He made some comments to the people sitting immediately adjacent to the section, and then left shortly after.
I'm pretty sure I was blocking HuK's view and he was commenting on how he couldn't see anything.
During assembly summer I went to Nada and said annyong haseyo and asked if he could sign my keyboard& mouse pad and take a picture with me. Afterwards I said thank you to him in Korean and bowed, he bowed too. So we basically connected on such a deep and complicated level that mere mortals can't even fathom. And now we are best friends forever. It was my very first time actually talking Korean to a Korean person! Yay for Nada!
Also for minor thingies that I value a lot for some reason: Mvp & ForGG replied to me on twitter :D.
LONG ago i went to WCG 2004 I met just about everyone who is famous for BW and SC2. I was hanging out with United5 the old CS team and also Complexity. I had to pick up Nero and his friend from the airport Nero is a good BW player who most BW players know who he is. Me him and his friend went to WCG and i met lzgamer, I think incontrol was there also artosis ...umm day9 i think was there also I cant remember was very long ago. I met djwheat and few others. Me and TKQ from united5 played in a Prey Tourney there held by WCG it wasn't part of the event it was just a Prey Booth pretty much. We had a ball i took 3rd place got interviewed by GGL at that time. Was very fun. That is my brush with fam :D haha

He kicked me out of my seat because I was in VIP seats, he gave me $40 and an autograph. Good trade IMO. Some people would've just given the seats up because it's HuK.
Hahahaha. I remember when he shouted out to the crowd to see if anyone would give up their seat. I wasn't in the VIP section though (just behind it).
Had to fetch Ret for Hero he could not get into dreamhack because of the language barrier and the dude checking braces did not know him. Something so trivial but it felt like being the kings messenger I talked to him when he was smoking outside the hotel. (thats wy he asked me to get Ret i guess) We talked he said he was doing well in tourney. He said he was going to win dreamhack. + Show Spoiler +
Fun times fun times. At our hotel at breakfast its full of pro's and casters its like candy land.
Dreamhack is awesome you guys should really go if your able. Sucky thing are the chairs they are just so fucking retardely discomfortable. My back is FUBAR atm
Played Mr Bitter at a local LAN in Atl lost 2-1 in a close ZvZ. At Mlg Columbus Tasteless was in the players area and I asked for him to sign something and he told me good luck on my games. He said it with such a straight face too I felt like the hot quarterback in high school asked me out to prom I was like omg tasteless told me good luck !!! Then at Raleigh I was warming up and I was on a 15 game win streak practicing so I didn't notice Day9 walk up behind and grab me by the shoulders and say good luck was like wtf?!?! and I looked at him kinda straight faced like wtf (I had sunglasses on cuz my eyes were killing me with the lights in the player area) and Day9 said I had a poker face going on and I couldn't stop laughing and he wished me good luck
I just played FXOBoSs on SEA ladder zvz. Sickest moment of my life! haha. I was super starstruck. Tried to make small talk like, 'you still in korea man?' and he says 'no i haven't been there for a while' lol. I felt bad. But what makes this even more special is i had been losing all night to stupid shit, like 6 pool drone all in, gay timings from terran, protoss in general... etc But then i got to play a macro game against someone who actually means something and knows the game properly, and whats more i won! Just the confidence i needed! Still smiling
It's nothing crazy but I got to play a student of vVvTitan in a PvZ That was pretty cool vVvTitan said I looked ok in terms of skill (at least for Diamond lol). Good to hear, because PvZ is my worst MU
I played with CatZ, Trimaster, Minigun and some others in the best custom game (I think an older version is on page 2 of this thread!) - The Star Strikers. Some regulars and I wrecked them but CatZ insisted they keep trying, and indeed the score got closer and closer after every game.
Also played a couple games with vilePsy, he was terrible at first but quickly became good, and still hops in the channel and plays once in a while. (Shameless plug, channel is " strikers " !).
Even though I have seen this thread earlier my addition so far had not been framed, finally saw a frame today that was nice.
Pretty much everyone from MLG Providence except MC. It really was a very nice event and it was definatly worth the flight (yes, my country flag is correct).
Note: I know it could be framed nicer, I'm improving every attempt
My only claim to fame was being a part of one of PiG's PoV episodes, where he coaches a random player from the stream chat, he picked someone who wasn't me, because I didn't have a mic
... Then I got picked to play against him! (I think his name was Zergtastic, but I'm not sure), and got a little bit of coaching too :D
So yea, free coaching from Tt.PiG and xGKingBenji is my claim to fame EDIT: Oh there was one more, I participated in the FaDe Open 3 (a tournament my clan organises every now and then) and mOOnGLaDe was in it. I said something along the lines of MOONGLADE HWAITING! in the chat and got a from him.
Unfortunately I got knocked out first round by a clan mate, but hey, I was in a tournament that Moonglade was in
P.S. Shoutout to Meatex for being awesome!
EDIT 2: Oh yes, there was the one time where DignitasSjoW replied to my tweet about Jjakji's ridiculous TvZ. On another twitter related note, oGsTheWind is following me on Twitter :D

I got TheGunrun on skype, sent him a couple of files back in beta. Also got HuskyStarcraft on steam, can't remember why he's there but meh.
Spammed Huk's paypal on his stream back in beta, he needed money for a new computer as his current one lagged lategame (Hence why he 4gated alot). He thanked me for it o.o'
Played Slayers Dragon, Slayers Golden, Everize and almost played ST Rainbow within a few days, also played a fake 'EGIdrA' on ladder tonight that bmed me about how ez pz terran is accordingly.

Im 2-0 vs TLO on the ladder. Uploaded my reps to some random site so i can brag to my friends and apparently some guy downloaded them and put them on youtube with commentary. Im a certified progamer now rite ?
I mod Artosis'es stream, and usually get to talk to him while he streams. Also played monobattles with Day9. Twice. And he answered a question I made in one of his dailies.
Pretty impersonal, I know. But being in Chile, thousands of miles away from all the pro-scene action, until I get my vacations this year and I go to an MLG as I've planned, that is the closest I can get
Last week I played theognis, flo, and darkcell on 4v4 ladder. Flo went mass hellions, darkcell rushed phoenix/mothership. I'm only platinum so it was a pretty big deal. Theognis was the only one that talked but he was really nice.
A month or two ago I also got to play a 2v2 with hackprotech on his stream !
