A : No, he's gosu, he saw every day9 dailys.

Q : Why isn't Day9 a superhero-like with thought hammer and stuff in a cavern ?
A : Day9 is just a regular human so awesome that he can go to the field with his t-shirts + Manfred is assisting him, so he doesn't have to wear armors and weapons.
Day9 is represented as a battle reporter, I might do him as legitimate SC2 warrior in the future.
