Wtf, metalopolis??? Backwater and typhoon staying?

Change it so that close spawn isn't possible and that map is pure gold.
I'm not too happy about this. Any petition in the runs?

If you look at this from blizzard perspective removing metalopolis makes sense. In Brood War Competitive play was pretty much designed around maps. There wasn't any nerds or changes to the races it was just new maps. Metal has been around for 2 seasons and they want to keep the best aspect of BW(the maps) into play here. We will all move on eventually...

They took out metal, but are keeping backwater and typhon >_> I liked scrap too! Oh well, guess I will have to be very judicious about my vetoes

Metalapolis, noes! Get rid of Backwater and keep Meta! One of my favorite maps except for close spawns.

I'm sad about metalopolis, it was(in my mind at least)a very decent and balanced map.
Why would it be used in every tournament's map pool if it was delta quadrant material? Big screw up on that sadly. At least the other 3 maps are removed.
For me sCRAP station and delta were the sort of-either you 4 gate or you lose.

Metalopolis is not that good of a map, close position is super boring and it's really stupid in all of the match ups. The 2 main paths can create very unstable games where it's easy that you both counter attack each other. The paths are also very narrow and slow pushing with tanks there and then killing the main on close air position in TvZ is very obnoxious.

Honestly it's not that good of a map, yes it have been so many epic games on that map, but that's mostly because it is the most played map in SC2 so far. Farewell Metalopolis may you rest in peace in the map heaven.

wtf, metalopolis! the close spawn really sucked but still they keep shattered temple in and thats pretty much the same rush distance on close pos. Also keeping backwater, what the hell is going on.

If Metalopolis makes a return to the ladder pool in the future, it will likely receive some balance tinkering, much like that administered to Lost Temple which resulted in the creation of Shattered Temple. In the meantime, we hope that you enjoy the fresh maps that have been added to the ladder pool in Season 3.

Map rotation, I suppose. I wouldn't be surprised if Xel'Naga ends up being replaced next season, too.

I don't mind scrapping Metalopolis. It's pretty old. I don't want it to be the new Python.

Overall, it seems like they took out the less popular maps. Let's see if the new maps can live up to it.

Really wish they added an iCCup or GSL map.
