No she should just take the worst comments to the police imo, verbally abusing someones sexuallity isn't really OK. But rather have badmouthed trolls than no freedom of speak @ internet.

Should think it over, I mean, if she takes everybody who tweets negatively about twitter to the police, thne they wont have any fans left. I mean, I can be pretty critical about Idra sometimes (after dumb losses and shit) but Im still a big fanboy. If you are a fan of someone/somebody, then you will have an opinion. That opinion wont always be "OMG team X is so great, they do ABSOLUTLY everything right. Theres NOTHING they could improve". Thats just the nature of fans. No I don't think it is ok to waste the police's time. Part of being in the public spotlight is to receive critcisim be it right or wrong from people. You can't witch hunt every person for being rude about you. It wastes your time, the police's time and also gets you upset. It also alienates people and worst of all you just give the issue more exposure than it would have had to begin with. Having said that I think actual threats/sexual harassment against a person is a different matter completely. 2) I think she has overreacted. It seems she is on a misguided crusade, actively looking for anything negative about her to jump on. Hell she might even come into this thread soon to tell us not to judge her and report us :p But the silly issue is that some of the comments at the start might have been objectionable in the manner I have stated above. But they have been lost due to too much fighting.

I think she is just being thickheaded regarding that fan who she was conversing over Twitter. He was just giving constructive criticism and she went overboard. I am not too surprised since some people have a hard time accepting advice and feedback. Of course there are always two sides to a story, so it's hard to come to a solution sometimes.

Although I do hope Eve wasn't too bothered by many of the comments, regardless she will need a thick skin if she wants to succeed as a pro-gamer. I agree with you. Girls ESPECIALLY need to have thick skin when it comes to joined the Starcraft 2 community let alone becoming a pro-gamer. They are the minority and they will have to work much harder to receive the respect that they deserve. It's an unfortunate but true reality. The community has tons of people willing to offer help to girls whether it's due to their gender or not, but trolls will be trolls. They aren't going anywhere whether you send them to the police or not.

I think, yes, she is slightly overreacting, but it's understandable as, from what i read here on TL (i can't read korean sadly), there were a lot of very bad tweets and posts and if you deal with a lot of those, there comes a point where you see malicious intentions in everything, especially if you are very protective about those people you care about. I assume there is more between Jessica/SlayerS and Eve than just "oh, i saw her and thought she might fit in", so Jessica might be more protective than usual - but thats just a feeling without any facts to support it. Still, the Emperor will know best. If he doesn't stop her, there must be reasons for everything Jessica does. He is the Emperor after all, how could we doubt him? Also, i'm in full support of being able to report the bad trolls to the police. Ofc they shouldn't get a longer prison sentence, just maybe a night in a cell or a few hours cleaning the roads with a toothbrush (we would have perfectly clean roads, considering all the trolls...)

however if a person with malicious intent says things about you with the intent to hurt you career wise or economically, such as spreading falsehoods with the clear intent to discredit the person professionally and/or socially. TL:DR someone having an opinion on you that you dont like and expressing it is not reason enough to report them to the police, however them defaming you with falsehoods and pure obscenities intended to harm you outside your own percieved reaction is wrong. srry english is not my speciality.

It's not only been a month girl, you will not last long if you keep acting this way. The more you react, the more they get back at you. That seems like a horrible way to deal with this problem. Not punishing people for their wrongdoings is simply allowing them to continue. Trolls don't need to be fed. They troll regardless. By attempting to put an end, if only even a few are punished, it can at least ease down the amount of harassment and flaming they get. I also don't see how they will "get back" at her if they are sent to jail, or at least have some sort stain on their permanent records. Forever ruining their lives, in their culture at the least. I doubt very people are stupid enough to ruin their lives just to troll. I really wish this type of problem solving existed in America. Might reduce some of the stupidity that plagues the internet (and real life). If someone has more information on this law in Korea, can you please link me to it? I am really curious what are the potential punishments and the process in which one is persecuted.

if police is a legal thing in korea, there is no reason to question if she does take it to the authorities, the culture is different in korea, and we should not question it
