punishing people IRL for trolling is all well and good but it's difficult to draw the line between abuse and normal criticism. in any case, by the sounds of it Jessica is way over that line and this is kind of embarassing.

I don't know how Jessica can think that some of the comments that are made against her are bad, ie... the twitter example. I don't think a court would hold the constructive criticism as guilty of anything. However, all of the one's with the abuse threats, well by all means take them to court. Most of the internet would be happy for that.

Hopefully Cella or Boxer or someone will be able to calm her down.

I do think that this is partly a possible possible problem with the wording of the tweet. I thought that when she said looks, I assumed something like future looks (aka prospects), but this will be an interesting case to observe. She would also have to link the people to the accounts, and prove beyond doubt that it was them on the account, which should be tough.

The difference between troll and harassment are a matter of opinion. To you, sexual innuendos and unwarranted comments that have nothing to do with your profession (she hasn't even played a single game) might be fine, but if its disrupting her, Eve, and the Slayers team, then its not really "just a troll".

Wrong. That is why the ONE post is bad. That desk of posts didn't have all poorly photo shopped porn.

It is what I was saying before. Some of them might warrant action, but when you take a hundred posts and stomp around the internet and fighting in twitter what really started it and is unacceptable is lost.

come to think of it, harassment on the internet can become quite serious. i remember i similar case with the facebook guy stalking some guy calling him gay and he took em to court. so yeah, thats just... all i know about this topic.

You need to have a tough skin on the internet. Don't take haters so seriously. Ignore the trolls don't feed them.
Without joking, Lindsey Sporrer is a great example how to cope with that, she did this in a great way. When you receive a shitstorm of sexist flames just neglect them and focus on the positive things and people, people will love you for it.

This is so much wasted, negative energy, which in the end will only harm Jessica and none of the trolls.

Looking at this from an organizational stand point, Eve is now a SlayerS member. Thus all accusations and whatnot need to be protected. Its kinda like starting a rumor that Boxer raped a 12 year old girl. You don't just sit there and say well.. no he didn't. You have to unfortunately go down to their level and fix it.
