RootPrincess/SixjaxMajor caught smurfing in tourny - Page 57

Page 26 and onwards I will issue at least two day bans to anyone who clearly has not read the original topic post and the explanations contained therein. He was barred access to the event days before the actual event took place and used some random diamond player his account to try and get in anyway. Leave the racial bias at the door while you are at it as well pretty please.

I don't take anything else too seriously other than the game. Starcraft 2 is a game, and there are dicks and griefers in every game. Live with it. No one is obligated to help a scene grow. If I were as good as him, could possibly smurf, get away with it and split the cash, then why the hell not? I love the meta-morality guys like you. You see people in a furor over the behavior of a prominent figure in the community, then decide to act like a hipster and go against the bandwagon for the sake of it. I'm familiar with a lot of competitive circles in a LOT of games, and BW/SC2 is by far the most well mannered in general. Yes, dicks and griefers exist in every game, including these, but there's a LOT less, and it's because people don't "live with it" like you cynically put it. If there was zero repercussions for people misbehaving, then this community would be rather awful. I'm thankful for this thread because I was a fan of Major after the last MLG, but I know what he's really like. The cheating itself is bad enough, but the way he presented himself in the chat log, calling someone a fag when they were being civil is just flat out ridiculous.

Pretty sure there's many professional "athletes" who have the writing / typing etiquette of an adolescent (case in point though, Major is 17? ish). Just go check Twitter.

He knew he wasnt allowed to participate and decided to go against the rules and shit DECENT people out of any hope / fun in the tourney, along with the host. Its pretty damn sad to think about it, and especially people defending him, regardless of any misconception of the original thread / post / details. He was informed in due time about not being allowed to participate. Then, following this, he still decides to hurl abuse, or whatever the f*** he's doing, not admitting his clear guilt, acting like a stubborn child caught in the act. Its beyond BM, if this is how we want esports represented, then let it continue... >.< About him "buying" an account and wasting money (im still reasonably sure he bought this after being informed anyway) Take a look at the people in this thread alone, standing up for a ****. You think they wont be like "OMG $100 FOR A MAJOR SIGNED SEA COPY OF SC2?!" - Doubtful he would struggle to make his money back IMO, even if it was digital.

On topic: This is ridiculous I seriously have issues becoming a fan of Terran/Major when he continually does immature and flat out wrong things like this. Solid player, but terrible attitude. Once he decides to smarten up and follow the rules and commit to being a more mature individual I'll start being a fan. Until then I can't really support the guy personally

Mom, "He's really sorry for what he did, isn't that right Timmy?" Timmy, "No." Mom, "Yea he's going to get a stern talking to when we get home, don't you worry! And sorry again." The fact Juan comes to this thread and lies about the circumstances, takes no responsibility for his actions and gives no apology for them is funny to me. How you handle your team is your business evoli, but seriously I don't know why you are here apologizing for his actions while he in turn is preaching that he feels he did nothing wrong. To me, that is lack of control. Your job is not to apologize for your players, but rather to initiate the correct response from them. If you had words with him, his responses here clearly show they did not hold weight in his mind. Anyway, doesn't matter much to me, just figured I would call it like I see it.

If he did buy another copy of sc2 just to play this tournament on sea, as the chat log suggests. After reading that anyone with a sea account could play and then got told he couldn't play. I can't really blame him for trolling the tourney. People are getting so hateful and upset, Major is a Major troll, that is really all this amounts to imo. As for people bringing up his spelling, I'm pretty sure English is not his 1st language, so you kinda have to cut him a little slack there. troll =/= cheating douchebag. Which is what clearly major is. Also if you read the op you would know he was informed he could not compete 5 days prior to the tournament and didn't purchase an sea account. Also if you took the time to read anything you would've noticed the ban warning for not reading :/

However after 57 pages, I think everything that can be said has already been voiced. After evoli's fourth post here, I think this thread has little left to offer that has not already been talked about so far. It's just going to repeat itself or be posted on by people not willing to read so many pages, there really isn't much left to be said about the issue. Mods should probably close this thread soon..

That being said, the best thing I can do personally is just not watch content featuring Major. Sure, I probably won't accomplish anything by doing so alone, but it's something. I''ve been really excited at how big/professional/successful e-sports has become with the rise of SC2 and something like this puts things into an entirely new perspective. We have a long way to go. Maybe "voting" with our content consumption habits is the best thing we can do to weed out players like this.

I know I'd be pissed if I shelled out $60. It sounds like there's two stories on when the information was given to major, but I think this is being blown out of proportion tbh. The rules were clear from the start. Sixjax confirmed the rules excluded major from playing. And the $60 spent on an account was apparently a lie. The interesting "Maker is a thief" post (another admit to account sharing) http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=221804 + Show Spoiler + Hi everyone, this is sixjaxMajOr also know as "Juan/Gosi[Terran]. Basically I ran into a huge problem with checksix/Maker. Me and my "friend"(Maker) bought an account for smurfing and both paid half for it, whereas I used my credit card to buy it. Unfortunately it was discovered that I was a player on the account because people were accusing me of being a hacker, and the stats didn't make sense, etc. I played the majority of the games on this account and then suddenly Maker says he wants out of the deal even though we both paid half. He then changed the password to the account and set-up parental controls on the account so I can't gain access to it at all, not even through blizzard. He now wants his money back in exchange for the account, since he says the account is "wasted" now that it's revealed who wa son it (even though it's still Grandmasters account). So this whole time now he's been being a douchebag and avoiding me etc, and my friend ended up getting into some of his accounts in hopes of trying to find a way to get me back the account he stole. What's really pissing me off the most is that this team "checksix" is okay with what he's done, and is even backing him up on it (which is really quite fucking pathetic). They're not willing to do anything about it, and even are trying to somewhat threaten me with some weird shit claiming that what I'm doing/requesting is wrong etc. Really don't know what to do since Maker made all the account info his, and I don't know how to contact blizzard abut this specific problem. Tried scaling his e-mails for some information that might've been able to help me get into the account but there was nothing. Can anyone please give me an idea of what to do? This guy is such a scumbag really being such a thief, it's just pissing me off. Link to account: http://sc2ranks.com/us/2802903/Light Take in mind guys he literally only played from beggining to around master and like 10 games of masters - grandmasters the rest were all played by me 5. 2. smurfing in WCG Funny thing about the WCG Smurf incident is: Artosis found out the smurf. + Show Spoiler + a few days ago she was FINALLY caught, and the smurf was found. It turns out she had Terran]eX[ play her games. He is a mexican player, with a really shady past. This was found out by artosis and confirmed by xeris (leader of eX). http://www.gosugamers.net/starcraft/thread/409386-smurfing-at-wcg
