1) If I buy this TW account, can I download the KR client and enter the TW info directly? The reason I'm asking is because I am korean/speak korean but do not have a KSSN.
2) I'm aware that TW and KR merged, do they use the same database now or will my latency be based on distance with TW or Korea? To answer to 1): No, without relocalization (modifying files). You must have a TW client to play with a TW account, and a KR client to play with a KR account. What you can do however, is play legally with korean sounds on a TW client very easily, to point that out to CuHz. Here you go: http://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/comments/j1l2p/how_to_korean_sounds_no_3rdparty_download/I don't have any precise answer to 2), but I don't think the latency will be very different between TW or KR.
anyone knows how long that repair takes? i started it but once i saw 200 mb of 2000000mbs i closed it since I dont have the time right now to switch it.

hey guys I just bought the key but why is this coming up?
An error has occurred. The game key you entered cannot be claimed. Please check the key and try again. Alternatively, you can enter this key for a different region by changing the leading part of the www.battle.net URL (ex. “eu.battle.net”) in your web browser, or for a different Battle.net account.
need help asap. and btw offgamers sent me a serial and password. I really dont understand followed everything

If i remember, around the top right menu bar in your battle.net will have the option to redeem points. The code allows you to redeem points which you then use to buy an Unlimited license to SC2 TW.

I have a question on the starter edition, I wanted to know if it was possible to play it on the Taiwan server without buying the game. I started looking a few pages and saw someone actually mention it:

Is this actually true? Wouldn't you need a NID to set up the account?
Also to those wondering how latency is between Korea and Europe, having done the opposite for a while (playing on the European server from Korea, I like to be original ) I can tell you it's pretty bad, still playable but barely. If I had to give an estimate I'd say you easily get half a second of lag on every order.

No lag for me and I have 10$ connection and live in California.

gosh KR server is hard. Masters in NA and SEA but currently dropping games against diamond players in KR >.<

Hi guys need help here because it seems that making a taiwan account requires an NID. Did anyone of you encounter this problem? or rather what will I do?

What servers can you play on with an TW account?
Great guide . Might do it too if if someone know the answer to my above stated question ^^.

Lovely thanks a lot!

You're right... Blizzard absolutely doesn't want more people spending their money on the game.

That's not cheap compared to offgamers's $40.

Yup, this is true. I've been using the Starter Edition for almost a month now, only Terran though. But I play T, so no complaints. Sometimes the latency is really bad, over 400ms but at other times (most of the time) it runs just as good as the SEA server--recently, SEA has been having some latency issues too.
Still uncertain whether I'm going to get the game or not. For now, the Starter Edition works perfectly for me. Basically a free game.
Note: Please remember that with the Starter Edition, you can only play Shattered and X'NC. But there are always people playing custom games, so you never have to worry about not finding an opponent. You do face a lot of lower level players on custom though, but the higher level players really give you a run for your money.
tl;dr : Get the Starter Edition if you want to test out the latency. Hope this helps.

Offgamers is also a bunch of idiots on tech support.
I had no issues with my first TW account purchase. Trying to help a friend get his and I can't make a purchase. Paypal denied and credit/debit card denied. Can't use either of those two methods, and the other methods don't exist around me period. Closest of them is like 200 miles.
Then I go and try to ask why and they state the verification process. Don't know how to say anything else. They dont call or send any emails to try and verify anything.

correct me if im wrong but can't you just login to your battle.net account(on the website). Go to the blizzard store, change the region to taiwan, and buy a copy that way?

Does this still work? It has been awhile and before I buy 1 I want to make sure it still works.

Thanks a lot for the answer! But can you tell me how I can actually get the starter edition? When I try, they ask for an NID. As I understand it, the way to get around that is to have a redeem code, but I need to buy the game for that... Can you help me?
